N'golo Kanté has returned to provide experience and backup. In his returning match, during which he played the first 64 minutes, he had 63 touches, 55 passes (96% accuracy), 2 key passes 1 long ball and won 4 of his 5 ground duels. It's like he never left.

36:16 correction: in 1980 Belgium reached the final where they had to face West Germany after topping a group containing Spain, England and hosts Italy. West Germany scored early on in the 10th minute and held their lead for most of the game until Belgium equalised in the 75th minute via a penalty. But in 88th minute Horst Hrubesch, who also scored the first goal, scored the winner.
Manuel Neuer has been confirmed as the starter by Nagelsmann and for Belgium, Wolfsburg’s Koen Casteels will start as confirmed by Tedesco. Also you should’ve mentioned defensive midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović. He has the highest rate of ball retention under pressure in the Bundesliga along with having brilliant set pieces and being a force defensively and going forward. All of this and he just recently turned 20. And Ukraine should start Benfica’s Anatoliy Trubin in goal. Lunin was good against Leipzig and the second leg against Man City, but Trubin has been more consistent and better for Benfica.
Great video but really there's no chance Gonçalo Ramos will start up front. He's been awful aside from that Switzerland match and the Portuguese national team has repeatedly made the mistake of playing that same kind of striker (*cough* Andre Silva, Nelson Oliveira, Gonçalo Paciência *cough*)... It's either Ronaldo or Jota and honestly, no matter how old he is and how much it worries me that he could underperform massively, it's probably gonna be Ronaldo because Jota performs better as a second striker alongside him and Martinez isn't gonna play two strikers. Also keep a look on Joao Neves and especially Francisco Conceição, amazing player.
If anyone didn't know EUROs prior to 1996 were really hard to qualify for, cause only 8 teams participated. Germany and Soviet Union qualified for most of those tournaments and they failed to qualify for 3 (out of 9) each. England, Spain, Netherlands, and Yugoslavia missed 5, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Belgium, and France missed 6, Denmark failed to qualify for 6/9, Hungary missed 7, Portugal, Sweden, Romania, Ireland, Greece and Scotland missed 8. Turkey, Switzerland, Norway, Bulgaria, Latvia and Poland qualified for the 1st time when they increased number of teams to 16. Austria and Ukraine qualified as hosts, and the rest managed to qualify when they increased number of teams to 24.
Coufal is not banished from the national team, he rejoined and played in the recent match againt Malta. Also Sadilek is missing the euros because he just had a cycling accident
Literally impossible. Indonesia will definitely bounce back from that Iraq loss. And speaking of the World Cup qualifiers, Afghanistan played a fantastic 0-0 draw versus Asian Cup winners Qatar. They might not have secured the qualification for the next rounds just yet, but it also inflicted a massive blow for India's qualification hopes, whose country also failed to beat Kuwait on Sunil Chhetri's last game as a national team.
According to Germany media, Nagelsmann will stick with Neuer, despite the error in the last test match vs Greece. The weird thing: He sent Alexander Nübel, the fourth goalie, home but got another goalie to replace Nübel (officially just as a "training squad" goalie, he won't play at the Euros).
Isn't it funny... You are all the very thing you claim England fans are. arrogant, toxic and disgusting. Weird that... Almost like you exist to hate... Wait a second! That's what you say England do! Hypocritical fs.

Adorable, I expect to see you back here when England go through. 😘 The fact you hate England this much shows you have a complex. Perhaps you're just jealous? Nah. Just a spiteful hater.
I'd love a small preview of the teams going into Copa America. Specially with Concacaf teams joining the big boys down south and Brazil apparently in a football crisis, barely beating Mexico last match yesterday
So a few notes (as a Belgian): - While Courtois has recovered from the injury, him and Tedesco had a falling out a few months ago, which meant he wasn't even selected for the Euros, even if he recovered. Such a shame, because after watching the CL final, he could make the difference for Belgium defensively, especially since this is now an area with weaknesses for Belgium. - The GK will likely be Koen Casteels from Wolfsburg (although he is transferring to Saudi to get the bag), they also have Thomas Kaminski of Luton Town, who actually played alright for Luton last season, considering what he had in front of him. Sels will likely be third choice, and hopefully not play a single minute for Belgium. - At the back, Belgium have an added talent/experience of Axel Witsel, who started playing as a very solid CB for Atletico Madrid (instead of his usual CM/CDM position). This added experience can give Belgium's defense hopefully a boost. - Some other players that could make a difference for Belgium that you didn't mention: - Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta): Played a brilliant role for Atalanta this season, getting finally off the ground in the Serie A and won the Europa League with them, with a great performance at Anfield vs Liverpool - Lois Openda (Leipzig): Class attacker, up there with the best of the Bundesliga this year - Dodi Lukebakio (Sevilla): Solid winger for Sevilla, often overlooked, but can be decisive as a super sub The 'golden generation' era might be over with Kompany, Hazard and other brilliant players gone/retired, but I think this squad can have a great chance for some silverware.
Yeah, it was super surprsing Cash wasn’t called up, but recent injury and the fact he couldn’t play with the team under new coach probably played big part in the decision
Mystery Girl I Rein for Rein. Nice seems like the City Pop songs get more niche every single time. Recommendation Misty Mauve or Guilty from Masayaki Suzuki (the guy who made the Love is War Ops) He made great City Pop in the 80s which is incredibly underrated.
If Portugal goes on to win the whole thing without Ronaldo, there will carnage on twitter. To quote the man himself " I will love it, and I think, I deserve it".
England most likely will play Trent alongside Rice to perfectly balance defending, technical ability with passing in the midfield. Also the fact that Bukayo Saka turns into prime Gareth Bale when Trent plays with him. Phil Foden is the biggest name on that left side which is why he's been given the number 11 but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets dropped for Eze during the tournament who looked amazing when he played.
About Portugal: Pepe is not gonna start, at least not early on in the tournament. He has not played a single minute for the past month and a half. He's there for the locker room vibes and maybe experience edge if we reach latter stages and possibly in a back 3. Ruben Dias' partner will likely be Inácio since his form is better than António Silva. Palhinha and Bruno Fernandes are locked in with the third midfield spot prolly going to Vitinha since Otávio is injured, but Ruben Neves who is inexplicably in this squad could also be an option because Martinez seems to like him. I'm 90% sure Ronaldo will start as the striker, though I agree that Ramos fits the system better. Ultimately, it's hard to say just how far we can go, the team is untested against top oposition, but we should top the group comfortably.
thanks for the content chief, one thing to add: Neuer will definitely be #1 for the Euros, not Ter Stegen, Nagelsmann confirmed that like 5 times on press conferences and Neuer showed some class saves in the test fixtures too

Correction on the Belgian team: Tedesco has said that Koen Kasteels will be in goal instead of Sels. He's quite good while still no Courtois. Also, Belgium ended second at EURO1980 so that's their best ever run.

At the moment though, I'm still hopeful since we're actually churning out decent results and it's clear the motivation is absolutely there for us this time. I just have my doubts we'll win it, since while there is actual quality there we still have the same issue of not really having any amazing current coaches.
