Omg mira I love your cardigan! It looks so cozy and it matches your bright personality! ☺️👍
Thank you!! It is super cozy haha! 😀
Was it a set or a lucky find? The orange sweater underneath looks like it matches perfectly.
When I was a kid, we had the original Spirograph. The larger outer circles were heals in place by these tiny pins. They didn’t hold very well, and you’d find yourself going along at great speed, creating this marvelous piece of art, only to have it ruined by one of the pins coming loose and screwing it all up. No, it is not a relaxing activity. 😁❤️ That was a great eye! I love that more art supply companies are acknowledging that human beings have a wide variety of skin tones,
Yup me too 😅
Those creams look... interesting. I can see how different saturations of the brush and layering could make some interesting blends. I kinda want to try them out on a wet canvas with a variety of dry brushes and see how that goes.
I loved my spirograph, my brother had an offbrand like you. both worked equally well/badly depending on your patience, though both of ours worked by having the paper and outer wheel fixed in place together (to a frame/board), allowing us to use both hands for wheel and pen. This meant less slipping for the inner wheels.
Yup I used to use a “Spirograph” set ☺️
Watercolor creams...... interesting 🧐
Aaa I love the target Strathmore Mixed Media paper. It's the only paper I've found in non-craft stores that doesn't yellow, and takes well to alcohol based markers. Good pick there =D
Loved the video
Faber Castel has something similar to the watercolour creams called Gelatos
They come in diffrent sets and are much more pigmented
You can also put some on a pallet and use it as regular watercolour
They are great for bible journaling and you can use them on very thin paper and does not bleed through
You must just look up some techniques, they are actually really great
These are water-soluble oil pastels and many maker art manufacturer have them in their port folio, like Ranger, Marabu, Caran D'Ache, Stabilo, ... they come with and without the plastic casings, one even cme in a wooden casing (Stabilo woodies) almost like watercolor pencils but with a more crayon consistency. Since I live in Europe I am more familiar with European brands and have more of them than the American brands in my stache.
mmmm did someone say gelato?
sorry i’m hungry
All of my fav RUclipsrs posted today and I’m soooo happy 😃
I love miras personality! Shes so bright and bubbly! Its so pleasant! Shes so pleasant! I love watching her videos after a tough day and when i do, my bad mood from the bad day seems to just dissolve!
Tip: You might enjoy Spirographs a little bit more if you get the ones with putty to stick the outside down to the page.
Omg..... I remember those lol..... 😂🤦♀️
OMG!!! 😲Those eyes are just amazing 😍.
They're called spirographs I'm 61 I used to have one when I was a kid and there are a lot of fun to play with they make great doodles
Oh yeah, I loooooved my Spirograph. That was the original back in the 80s...there have been many knockoffs since, but never has it been the same.
Spirograph is older, since it was in the toy box of our kids room when I was little and that was the 70s.
@@silkeschumann7261 sweet! even better! toys made years ago are so much better than they make them now. i wonder when it was first made then.. i just took it for granted it was the 80s because of all the commercials for it..but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, my mistake.
@@silkeschumann7261 Oh wow, I looked it up and it's been around since early 1900s as a game..that's pretty wild
Who else likes the video without even watching?!
This is dedication!! 💜 ⭐️
Me!

This is crazy
Omg your videos are the best
You are the best RUclipsr
I love how you went into target not knowing what art supplies you were getting and you just picked up the weirdest thing LOL! and eep! are you excited for mandolorian? i have to wait to watch with my family, have you watched it yet? btw those flowers were so pretty!
Hahaha, yeah those weird things are so attractive! AND YES!!!! SO EXCITED! I hope you and your family enjoy watching it together! :D
Mira Byler you too!
were they tho
I've tried this type of art supply, I'd give it an 9 out of 10, it's fine :) (it was only crayons but it was so creamy I just thought of trying it as watercolour. I tried it a couple of months ago lol) this is for me the most comfortable way of doing watercolour, thank you for reviewing them
Hi Mira ~ just wanted so say that I really enjoy watching your vids ♥ They always give me a smile on my face so thank you! ♥
Woohoo! New video! Love you!!!! You are so inspiring and talented!!
The watercolor creams remind me more of an oil pastel or crayon than a cream. I've used watercolor crayons before and it looks more like a higher quality version of that.
The spirograph thing tape it down then go quickly don't worry about mistakes cuz it'll turn out all spirally in the end
My fave target art supply I’ve ever bought is glitter watercolors. They’re so much fun!!!
Omg !! The eye 😘😍
MIRA YOUR OUTFIT IS INCREDIBLE I NEEEEEEEEED IT!!
Oh my gosh! That eye is sooooooo good! You are an amazing artist!
OMG THAT EYE IS SO GOOD!!!😄
I love the the florals! Would look so cool as a pattern 💕🌺 sending love
Thank you! 😊
Mira: Just look at those Owls!
Me: They’re a HOOT! 🦉 😂😂😂
Great video! You have such fun energy.👏🏻
Hahaha, I loved your comment!
There are lots of brands that have things like these watercolor creams: Faber Castel Gelattos, King Art Gel Sticks, Marabu art crayons, stabilo woodys, etc. Of the Gelatos, Gel Sticks, and Art Crayons, the art crayons are my favorite for level of pigmentation. Gel Sticks are very similar and seem to have a wider variety of color options over the Art Crayons.
Hello! Great video, just a quick tip. When you wear one of those disposable masks, they have a little wire around your nose. You can press the area by your nose for a more comfortable feel, and it helps it stay better. I don't really know how to describe it except for just press the area around your nose. Some people don't like it, just wanted to let you know just in case.
My mask was perfectly comfortable, and I did press the wire. No worries here!
This is so cool omg
Hope you enjoy the video! 💜
Your first! Congrats!
I love your sweater and long sleeve shirt!
Your so good at drawing eyes and I love that bouquet of flowers!
Mira awesome vid!! just like always :D
thats so crazy! I mean I have these same things and thought they were pointless until now!
thx Mira
this drawings are so beautiful one of my favorite artistic out there
I have used tempra creams! They weren’t great for big art pieces but great for experimenting
I like your hair!! It is so pretty
Thanks Shayla! 💜
Hi Mira! I love your content, and this video was very interesting! LOL. Btw in the beginning I LOVE your cardigan it's looks so comfortable and it matches your personality! Hope you have a great day!❤
Targets paint is amazingly thick there really good!
Happy Halloween Mira! ❤❤💖
Happy Halloween to you as well! :)
yay new video!!! woah, these watercolors look so weird... but oddly cool. i have something similar, i believe mine are called watercolor crayons. i absolutely love the piece you made with these!!
The spiral thing is actually a lot more fun with the actual spiragraph set and there are detailed instructions that come along with it! 😊
You know it's gonna be the best cause Mira=Talent ❤💖💖
💜 I hope you enjoy it!
@@MiraByler Yes I did! :)
Loved the video Mira! 😊
The eye you drew is still so gorgeous, even with the issues you mentioned with the pencils!! I'm jealous. 😭
There's no substitute for spirograph! Super fun. Enjoyed the video. Hugs from Montana
Mira..
how are you still so bright and positive! I love your endless streak of brightness! Also you are so creative! Happy Halloween❤💛💚💙💜💖
I think everybody has the same experience with Spirograph. I was hopeful that the off-brand might work better, but it turned out pretty much how I expected.
Not rly….I have so much fun w Spirographs…they are like my fav things to do when bored :)
“I gravitate towards drawing an eye because it’s easy. Simple”
Me: * struggling to draw an eye for five years * 😳😳
I choked when I got to that part XD
Oop when I don’t know what to draw I always find myself drawing a eye...(it isn’t always the best eye but it’s a eye)
Same. When I try to draw a eye I get mad and draw a circle with a dot in it.
My first drawing was an eye they are easy
Just thinking that
Hellooo. Loved that eye. I loved my Spirograph kit as a child. 😊
Hey Mira!!! I love your videos! God Bless❤️❤️
First time on your channel, was in my recommended and I’m happy it was
Im SO excitedddd! Eekkkk🥰
ALSO I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL SO MUCH LIKE OMG ITS JUST SO RELAXING AND I LOVE YOUR ART
Thank you so much! 🎨
Omg no wayyyy ahhhh you responded
Spirograph is the name brand for the stencil set you got. ^-^
Edit: Spirographs are notorious for gear slipping. I never used to get any kind of decent results when using the more interesting of the designs because of it.
Yaaaas. You’d almost be around and the thing just slips out of place. Ugh!
I thought I just wasn't good at it because I was a kid or I wasn't doing it right or something. So I tried it again as an adult. Nope hated it as much as I remembered! My hands are shaky, I'm not patient enough, plus I can make way better art without it.
@@Cre8tive_Always I did the same exact thing! We got it for my son one year, and I helped him with it. In the end, I had to admit to him the gift we got him kinda sucked, and we're sorry, just so he would stop being so upset for feeling like a failure. I pretty much had to say "no child. When it comes to spirograph, we're all failures..."
@@paranoiarpincess loll…. *why am I the only one who enjoys them-*
When you no longer work from home and have to wait to watch Mira videos. 😭 That eye you drew though is pretty! 💜💜
Your hair is so pretty!
With Target it’s either the most kind-blowing or it’s completely horrible 😂
Also I was wondering if any of you who are seeing this if you’d like to enter in an art contest I’m hosting! I’d like as many entries as possible!
The creamy watersoluble crayons are good for highlights on watercolor or washable crayon works. In single use, they get empty after a few works.
I thought the Spirograph worked out well, the pink and the last one with the different shapes and colours. I had one as a kid, it was a kinda square blue thing with the toothed circle on one side, came with some different shapes. The lipstick crayons are just like Faber Castell’s Gelatos, someone else already commented that too. The yellowy green really stood out, some of the colours are quite pretty. I find less water helps things like that dissolve properly, also thicker paper. The eye looks so cool, I love the unusual colour you have it, the bright yellow and bluey eyeball.
I love watercolor crayons like that, I have a large collection of gelatos by Fabre Castell and they are the same thing accept they have more professional quality pigments and are archival. They are a very versatile medium. You can mix them with things like modeling paste for awesome textures and effects with stencils and stuff. I also get a kick out of the fact that it feels like you are making art with makeup lol.
Oh! That's so cool! I was wondering if they were the same thing. I'm very drawn to water soluble media.
That colored pencil pouch is totally me in a textile! I’d buy those crappy pencils just for the pouch!
Never been this early. Also I work at Target 😂
Ooooo that sounds like such a fun place to work!
I'm so happy Target supported a $15 an hour wage for their workers
So earlyyyyyyy
Litrealy 7 seconds ago!!!!!
I just saw 5 likes and now o my god just looked up again after writing this comment and.....
Wooo!! Early squad rocks!! 💜
Wow, thats early. Awesome
Hey girl hey
Yaa I love you Mira💕
I have a similar thing to that. The ones I have are called gel crayons, but you can use them as watercolor if ya want too. Ive never done spirograph art before either. Art 101 is a good brand, I hae several of their products.
I've got watercolour creams!
I have a rainbow set, and a neon set. They are super fun- basically a cross between oil pastels and watercolour pencil crayons.
And now that I've finished the video (LOL) I think you'd like the rainbow set better. The colours are more intense.
Drawing faces is actually one of my favourite things, and I have used them for that, but not on their own. (I used a mix of different media for most of my work.)
I have those watercolor creams and love them 😍❤️
I own the basic set of the watercolor creams and adore them although I draw with them in a paint pallette instead of directly on the paper
MIRA UR SO PRETTY ✨I LUV UR VIDS✨EARRLLY!!
Yay!!! I’m early!! Loved this vid btw!
Mira: *fails* "Ok don't do the most outer dot".
Also Mira: "We're trying it again!"
Later *tries and fails one more time* "I don't like this"
XD you're awesome Mira
I loved your montage in the beginning :D
Thanks 😁
If you liked the feel of the watercolor creams, as well as Gelatos you might want to try Marabu Art Crayons. They are lovely. As well as straight coloring with them, you can scribble them on a palette and use them as watercolors.
I enjoyed your trip to Target!
Hi Mira, your videos are amazing! I have learned a lot from them. I use watercolors, too and I was wondering what brushes you use. I saw that your brushes have points that mine don't usually make. Is there a specific brand?
My guess is she used the black velvet watercolor brushes. Hope this is helpful!
I used a Spirograph as a kid, I think it's just important to use good pens. Also, it can be hard to make a perfect spiral, so don't worry about that.
i got those water color creams for my birthday and what i did was i got a plastic pallet and colored on it with the creams and then used a wet paint brush and dipped it in. its so much better and easier to use for me
Me: i need to start dieting
Me again: 0:36
Always smiley and enthusiastic in your vids Mira, newer sub love art used to draw alot as a kid, then moved onto sculpting then painting. I learned how to paint landscapes from Bob Ross vids, but I have to be in the mood. Also youre cute lol ☺ hope you have a Happy Halloween!
Get yourself Faber Castell Gelatos or Caran D'Ache Neocolor II. Both are artist grade water-soluble oil pastels. And try them on gesso-ed paper. The difference is significant and a lot of fun.
I love your art!
Thank you!
Hi Mira, I really love you! You are so inspiring! Is it just possible to do another studio blog? Only if it's convenient for you🤍🥰
A studio vlog is coming soon! :) I hope you're having an amazing day!
@@MiraByler Thank you!🥰😘
I haven't been in a Target since my last shift in early February (🥳) but I would constantly look at those watercolor creams, and then walk away because of the price. I thought, if they ever went on clearance I might try them. Thanks for showing me I saved some money!
Also, I grew up with Spirograph. Until it melted and warped because I stored it in the back window of the car when we moved from NY to AZ.
I have a new full set that I haven't messed with in a while. I'll have to get a little creative with it again.
OMG I love you, you are so awesome!!
💜 I hope you're having an amazing day!!
@@MiraByler OMG I can't believe that you replied I'm having a great day. how are you?
I will say the spirographs we had growing up worked better than that one. I think that brand is just really poorly made. Great video, it was fun to watch.
I had Spirographs as a kid. I remember them being pretty easy to use. They were made for kids after all. The one you have has really small teeth in it. Spirographs would stay up against the edge of the circle a lot better.
My fave coloured pencil brands are Derwent, Faber Castell and Crayola. I found Prismacolor ‘leads’ to be a little on the soft side for me. They always seem to crumble
Yeah, Prismacolor is now produced by a different company than before, and the manufacturers are no longer concerned with what is best for the artist. Faber Castel and Derwent are the opposite and do all they can to create a quality product!
I have aloot of brea reese art supplies and they are really good quality Mira!! Not finished watching but i am guessing they will be great!!
Target expanded their art section. Great place if you miss the art store after 9pm.
You look so pretty, great video I find your voice relaxing lol
Wow cool!
Hello , I have a question, what are the brand of paintbrushes you were using in this video bc theyre so good
Spirograph can be challenging and take some practice. I find it easiest to use some of that khaki that's used to hang up posters that kind of feels like Silly Putty. I stick that to the paper while I do the spirograph and that makes it a lot easier. Also when you do the spirograph you want to do the motion like your drawing a circle but don't try to Over Control the pen. I hope that makes sense lol
Hahaha o my! Childhood memories or should I say frustrations with the spirograph thing...🙈
😂
Hello :) Yeah, something happy and fun this evening ! Have a nice friday & weekend !
Oh that Spirograph, I always make mistakes and it never looks good
The thing I like about u is that u always reply or try to always reply your followers ❤❤❤😍😘😘😘
I try! One of my fave things about RUclips is talking to everyone in the comments! You're all awesome. 💜
What you have to do is tape or pin down the frame of the spiral graph and then use your pins with the little round circles inside it when we had it it was a lot nicer than those cheap pieces that come with that set you did a great job
With the spyrograph it works easier with markers or colored pencils :)
Her face at the end tho 🤣🤣
I have been looking at these on the shelf for MONTHS debating on if I should get them or not. My mind is made up now!
I think spirograph was a name brand. And it had this thing that holds the blue part down to the paper. And the groves were a little bigger so it wasn't so hard to rotate, but usually it works better if you don't press super hard, the biggest issue was probably those crappy cheap pens
Who else gets The Magic School Bus vibes when she’s in her car driving to Target doesn’t it remind you of going on field trips? The water color creams remind me of what it would look like if you drew or painted with oil pastels or crayons overall it was enjoyable watching this video.
