  • Former Professor of International Political Economy, London School of Economics Dr. Gautam Sen speaks to Hindol Sengupta about the ‘Muslim Vote’, an organisation in the UK that played a significant role in the decisive UK elections. Dr. Sen talks about
    - The origins of the Muslim Vote,
    - Who is supporting the ‘Muslim Vote’ in the UK,
    - The issues taken up by the organization ahead of the elections,
    - How the colonial history has played a part in the current situation,
    - The connections of the Muslim Vote with the Muslim Brotherhood
    - Why many are worried that the Muslim Vote is bringing sectarian mass voting in the UK
    - And, what next for this organization?
This and so much more discussed in this conversation.

The USA can continue trade deals with China who’s been helping Russia in the Ukraine war but if it’s Bharat which works for own benefit, it’s a broken promise with the USA.

I don't think UK sunni muslims have genuine grievances. UK sunnis are far more conservative and islamist adjacent than muslims in muslim majority countries.
UK sunni muslims want to overthrow almost every muslim majority government for the crime of not being sunni islamist enough. UK muslims say that muslim majority countries (Bangladesh, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Bahrain, Kuwait, Albania, Kosovo) are puppet regimes of nonmuslims and traitors to the global muslim ummah.
It is time the UK stood up to UK sunnis and told them to stand down, and they were wrong. And the UK strongly disagreed with their attack non UK muslims around the world for not being sunni islamist enough.
