'Not Afraid' is basically Eminem's first genuine attempt at repairing his career after 3 key negative events:
The underwhelming 'Encore' album of 2004; his near-fatal drug overdose in 2008; and the failure of the Relapse album in 2009. Relapse was a misfire because he got both too silly, and very disturbing on it. It just didn't work because his audience had aged with him and wanted to hear what an adult Marshall Mathers had to say after barely escaping his death.
This album- 'Recovery' -is the first attempt he made at winning everyone back. This song was the lead single off the 'Recovery' album, and it set the tone for what the remainder of his career would look like. He was more serious about his craft than ever. He also demonstrated that he was not only in a better place now, but that he was going to take the lead in showing his fans how to get there themselves.
'Recovery' is perhaps the most pivotal album of Eminem's career because he couldn't afford another flop, and this was essentially his last at-bat of the game. The game was on the line now, and he knocked it out of the park because that's what he does
Relapse is a great album, just not a "radio album", great lyrical content and and production

You're officially a rap fan, discovered the MC lol its not just doubles, there's triples, multisyllable rhyme schemes, flow, deliver and all kinds of word play. The "I need to be stomped by 40 men to suffer a defeat" video breaks down exactly how complex some of these bars are

Em has double meanings, Triple meanings and quadruple means for his lyrics anymore, he’s basically on his own planet when it comes to his lyrical genius. It’s crazy he did this right after his recovery when he overdosed and was told he wouldn’t have lived with in 2 hours if he hadn’t got medical help. He’s talked about it before, after his overdose he basically had to relearn a lot of things including rap because it messed with his brain. So this if I remember correctly on the timeline of his life was the first song after that happened to him so he had alot of apologizing to get off his chest to family (his daughters) and fans.

I strongly recommend (for your own enjoyment) that after you do these reactions you listen to the song with the genius lyrics and annotations in front of you. Take this song for example, there would be able 20 references that have gone over your head (which is so fine), but Genius will point them out.
For example, the following bar uses the theme of teeth with double entendres

With you catching one double and thinking about it, (there are a ton in this) after listening and reacting to a song, I'd highly suggest checking out at least one of the people on youtube that focus on doing entire bar breakdowns. It'll give you a greater appreciation for the music and the complexity of what great artists are doing. Very different and more enjoyable listening experience the more knowledge you have, imho. Personal recommendation if I had to pick one would be Knox Hill, as I think he gets into the technical aspects as well or better than anyone, but there are certainly a number of others around. All these things are really the cause of why people argue a lot about who the goat is, who the top ten are, etc. Always awesome to see your reactions to great songs!
