    Excellent instructions, video/sound quality! There are just too many crappy one hand mobile shootings elsewise on RUclips.

    Great video Rahee, guys I know I'm late but DO NOT ever use a cheap water pump from the cheap autoparts they will snap use the OEM from Z1Motorsports or dealership call around trust me you can get it for about $20 more than the cheap one better to pay the extra $20 than have to go through the headache all over for being a cheapass lol, yupp my cheapass learned it the cheapo way twice 🤔😬😂 oh btw the OEM doesn't come with a gasket you will need OEM grey gasket maker ask for it when you order your water pump I also recommend a Gates or OEM timing belt and not a cheap autoxone one trust me it will outlast your car and last please please replace those 2 front bypass hoses you already there and get the updated clamps as well

    Hey man! Just came across your channel and loving what I'm seeing. I have a 1990 nissan 300zx NA. 5 speed. the fan blows like crazy and i heard its the fan clutch that needs replacement? have you ever done it? and if so how difficult is it to do?

    • @mahabubulhoque8663
      @mahabubulhoque8663 8 лет назад +1

      remove the radiator brackets on top then the fan shroud ..then remove the fan with 4 bolts and then remove the clutch from the waterpump and replace it.

    • @DCFotographs
      @DCFotographs 8 лет назад

      ***** Sounds a lot simpler than I thought. I might tackle it out. Thank you

  • @jackoff4850
    @jackoff4850 7 лет назад +2

    FYI- removing the radiator is not necessary. Remove the upper passenger side hoses so that the shroud can be pulled out. The shroud is two pieces. The additional room you gain by removing the radiator is negligible. I've done it both ways.

    youre doing good. ive personally done this job more times then i can count haha. goes way easier the second time around once youve already cleaned ur z, de rusted. painted, used antisieze on your bolts ect. cause people who generaly work on these cars just throw them together then u are left with rotten water pipes and gotta bust out the heat gun to remove therubber hoses like you just did lol. always fun =]
    def make more videos brotha. also an update on your hood paint would be cool too. we never got to see the finished product yet

    • @RaheesGarage
      @RaheesGarage  8 лет назад

      i havnt managed to buff the paint yet, a few more places needs paint, the trunk, so i have decided to go for a full respray on the car, since i have enough paint, ( except the hood since i already did that ) i will go ahead and update it soon.

    Great video! I have a J30 that also has the VG30 Engine in it. Watching these videos to get myself better acquainted before I dig into it. Just wondering but about how long did the entire procedure take you?

    I hope you do a rear main seal replacement as these cars go through them like water pumps!
    As well as other seals that leak!

    • @RaheesGarage
      @RaheesGarage  8 лет назад +1

      i already purchased the rear main seal and both input shaft bearing and seals for the transmission, when this car goes out of my garage, i will make sure everything is addressed.

    Man, I'm literally in the middle of doing this right now. Just got the timing belt off. My tensioner had no gap on it at all. Also, my passenger side cam shaft moved CCW about 1/4 of a turn rather hard, then came to a rest on its own. I heard a small ping, should I be worried? Either way, great video, it's been a very helpful reference.

      No. This happened to me as well. There is a myth that you bend valves when this happens. This is false.

    On my 95 z32 that fan clutch doesn't come off when I take the bolts off, is it different from the other models?

    Not sure if you’ll read this but I need help. I took out the crank bolt (27mm) but I’m having difficult removing the pulley. I’ve used the autozone 5-ton pulley puller but the thread size was too small. Any help?

    What the name and size you used for the crack shaft pulley because the screw that's goes in my jaw puller seems to be small in width

    Hey how can i thake the pully of couse myne is an Automatic Transmission.

    • @RaheesGarage
      @RaheesGarage  7 лет назад

      it is a little bit complicated. for automatics, you need to have a special tool, that holds the Crank pulley to something. I need to check mine if there is room, but you need a pulley holder tool for an automatic, or you might have to lock it by the flywheel.

    After watching this video I can see why people RB swap these. That v6 layout is ridiculous.

    • @sneakswithmiguel6786
      @sneakswithmiguel6786 5 лет назад

      tokyotopp g yes, I have a 1994 and this vg engine was overly engineered, resulting in many pipes and hoses, ultimately leading to this. Now my water pump is leaking and I must do all of this to replace it 🤦🏽‍♂️

    • @tokyotopp
      @tokyotopp 5 лет назад

      @@sneakswithmiguel6786 my 3000gt engine looks normal compared to this. And thats another pain in the ass engine to work on. And to think i wanted to buy a 300zx my god.........
