I like the first two choices you made. We will see if the Dodgers will resign Beuhler or if he will be a luxury tax (lol I know that problem isn’t a problem with the Dodgers) casualty. I think it will come down to what he prefers because he’s gonna have almost everyone needing top of the rotation pitching throwing money at him. Boston has kind of given itself a bad reputation of not putting winning first. Good video! P.S. I wouldn’t count the Sox getting into any bidding wars, either. So I hope none of them have Scott Boras for an agent
Red Sox need pitching and defense. This should come from free agency. Don’t block the prospects this winter. You can wait till trade deadline to make some trade adjustments.
Need this channel to be very active this offseason But I don’t want the Redsox taking shots at potential this offseason. Go get an established top of the line guy. I’m ok going into the season with Fried/Snell/ect- Houck-Kutter-Giolito-Bello
I don’t want 2 SP coming back from TJ in my rotation. Sox have been paper thin at SP since 2018, if we sign Buehler it just feels like we’re going back to that. Too much of an unknown, it was nice to see him come back and prove he still can throw hard and I know control usually comes back the following season but it’s too risky, I want more of a sure thing given Giolito is also coming back from TJ next season. The Adames fit made sense last offseason but with Mayer possibly debuting in 2025 and Campbell’s meteoric rise through the minors I think there is less of a need. Signing Teoscar sounds great but what are you going to do with your OFers where there is already a logjam? To me, I’d rather get someone low cost to platoon and fill in here and there than committing big money on a righty bat. Why not trade for someone like Taylor Ward or sign Randal Grichuk for cheap money as a platoon option? Both smash lefties and wouldn’t take away meaningful ABs from Roman Anthony or Wilyer Abreu (depending on who you keep) Love Tanner Scott, he should be a top priority, he can give you heavy leverage innings whether he closes or not, I think he has a few unicorn pitches that should age well if you can sign him for a 4 year deal, he should get less money and aav than Hader. Fried is the most obvious FA target, he’s tight with Giolito as well. Scared he might jet to LA since they have endless gobs of cash, Flaherty pitched there in the second half and seems to have enjoyed it and he’s from the area and dodgers have a massive rotation need this offseason.
I don't see Adames coming to Boston nor do I think that is a good signing. I agree with Teoscar as thr right signing. I think Grissom Campbell Msyor with guys like Romero, Cespedes Arias and Zanetello following from 26 on. If I was playing GM here is what I would work on immediately. Sign Teoscar. Dangle Duran or Abreu to Philly Seattle or LAD. Philly is my top push. I would send Duran Kutter and Whitlock for Painter Graves McFarlane and 2 or more LL prospects. Seattle I send Duran Kutter Whitlock Wong only for Kirby. If Castillo is the only guy being moved, I would entertain an Abreu and Yoshi for Castillo. LAD. Duran Whitlock for May or Gronsolin w Ferris River Ryan and the injured Stone. This is risky because of injuries but all 3 can be in the rotation by September. LAD is my least favorite option while Philly is my first. Next, I listed the incredible amount of SS in the system. Mayer is expendable. Sure it would sting but a return of Euery Perez for Mayer Bles Blaze and a few guys like Hamilton Valdez Sogard or even Mayer and the Garcia Brothers should perk the ears up for the pitching Rich Marlins. The only other trade I have any interest in is Skubal but it will be unlikely since Detroit shot themselves in the foot at the deadline. Crochet scares me and would only be interested if Robert was attached if Mayer Montgomery Arias and other LL guys are being sent for Crochet
Definitely not getting rid of Duran for any of those pitchers. He’s too valuable to our team and defense. Kutter and abreu I could see frontlining a deal and I guess throw Wong in there as well, but I’d like to hold Duran since he was the spark to the offense
Big YESes for Max Fried and Tanner Scott. Those would be great additions for the Red Sox. I don't trust Fangraphs WAR for pitchers, as it is based on only 37% of a pitcher's outcomes on the field. Baseball-Reference's WAR uses 100%, and the results can be quite different. bWAR for these pitchers in 2024 was Walker Buehler -1.3 Tanner Scott 4.0 Max Fried 3.5 The Sox should match the best offers for Fried, and let his friend Giolito do the rest. :) Willy Adames would be an AWFUL addition. The Red Sox are already overflowing with good middle infielders. Keep in mind that a lot of the reason the Sox were bad against left-handed pitching last year was because injuries removed their right-handed-hitting middle infield of Trevor Story and Vaughn Grissom and replaced it with left-handed-hitting David Hamilton and Enmanuel Valdez. Those two also added a lot of the extra errors. The Red Sox finished the season with a Story-Grissom infield again, and between those two and Kristian Campbell they ought to be able to field two righty middle infielders for most of 2025. There's not as much to fix here as people think, as it's already mostly fixed by the return of Story and Grissom. Plus, Willy Adames would actually make the Red Sox worse against left-handed pitching. If you look at his splits over the last 1 year, or 2 years, or 3, or 4, or over his entire career, in all those cases he's below average against lefties and above average against righties. Based on his track record, you can count on him having about a 92 wRC+ against lefties, 115 wRC+ against righties, and 108 wRC+ overall. That's rather pedestrian, even if you think Fenway will boost those numbers. Story and Grissom should be a solid middle infield. Marcelo Mayer is less than a year away. Kristian Campbell looks to be one spring training away from being ready. Campbell and Roman Anthony are looking a lot like the next Mookie Betts and Bryce Harper to me. You don't block guys like that by signing a guy like Adames to multiple years. Plus David Hamilton is a darn good-looking *fifth* middle infielder. I hope I never hear anyone talk about bringing in Willy Adames or trading away Triston Casas again. Both awful ideas. A nicer idea: trade Yoshida and some other asset (possibly cash) to the Cardinals for Nolan Arenado, and move Devers to primarily DH. That simultaneously improves your third base defense, improves Devers' bat because he stops injuring himself playing defense, increases roster flexibility by removing a DH-only player, and reunites Trevor Story with one of his best friends. Arenado is only under contract for 3 more years; he'll be done before the Sox will need to start shelling out bigger bucks to keep much of their talented young core.
So many here willing to trade Duran, but who else does this team have who can get on base and steal a bag? Why don’t hitters want to bat second in the lineup? Red Sox have a parade of players batting second. If Casas gets off to another slow start in the spring I’d let him go at trade deadline. I just don’t care if he goes 0 for spring and gets 25 homeruns by final day of season. He needs to be more consistent. If this is his ammo, then wait till he goes on a little tear and get rid of him. We know its cold in April in Boston. We need guys who can hit some in cold weather. White guys hit better in the cold. Ha ha try not to get woke its true.

Thank you my friend!
The Red Sox need to sign these 3 players will solved majority of their 2024s problems...Tanner Scott, Burns and Teoscar Hernandez!

How about Arenado? Move Rafi to DH & trade Yoshida to the Cards. Max Fried for sure.
