    I'm sad, I can't avail the scholarship, because I've got already a degree, but it was not actually what I wanted. I had the Accountancy degree at my hometown and I'm still studying it until now for the Board Exam Licensure. Since I need to enrol first to a review center to make sure my board exam will be pass, but it was not easy. Review centers are also expensive, and I can't afford that. My college time was a total survival, and now that I had graduated I don't want my parents to work for me 'coz they're too old. However, since I can't afford review centers I tried to find a job to survive and my salary is no budget for a review center. That is why I am looking for some universities that offering a total tuition free (even it's quiet impossible) then I found this news. But at the end, I'm just sad but I understand, and I hope they still help those other people that needing it the most. And I'm hoping that somebody would help me, please.

      Hi Akhter, whether our degree is recognized in your country is based on the laws and regulations in your country and the institution you apply to, just as it would be for any other American university. In many places, being accredited in the U.S. means that it is a highly respected institution. International applicants are encouraged to check the status of UoPeople degrees with the ministry or agency in charge of education in their own country of residence.

    • @uopeople
      @uopeople  3 года назад

      Hi Jovert, please note that universities are typically accredited in the countries where they are established and accepted by convention in many other countries. Since we are established in the US, we are only accredited in the US. Please feel free to reach out to the ministry of education Philippines regarding the acceptability of US accredited degrees there. You will also be able to request that our registrar notarizes your degree and transcript for you here in the US when you graduate from our program, before we mail your degree and transcript to your house address. Please visit the US department of education's website at www.ed.gov and click 'college accreditation'. When the new page loads, click 'look up a school', then type 'University of the People' into the search box that comes up and search to confirm our accreditation status.

    Can i transfer my credit hours to another university if i finished my associate degree ?

    • @uopeople
      @uopeople  4 года назад +1

      Yes you can سبعة ٧
      ! Our academic partnerships with University of California Berkeley and the University of Edinburgh enable our students to apply to complete their BA studies on campus there. Outside of our academic partnerships, the transfer-ability of credits is completely at the discretion of each individual university, as is the case for all transfer students to all universities across the world. For that reason, we have created a partnership with the above universities and we are working towards signing additional agreements with more academic institutions.
      We are proud that many of our students and graduates have continued their studies at universities around the world such as University of Delaware, Western Governors University, Hawaii Pacific University, University of Auckland (New Zealand), University of Nairobi (Kenya), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Carnegie Mellon University (Australia), University of Newcastle (Australia) and many more.
