Gasly is literally in his prime. Drivers don’t suddenly show they’re super stars in their 6th season. He won’t get better or worse (well, for a long while yet). He’s the kind of driver useful to get when you can’t get an exciting top level driver or an F2 champ of GR, OP, etc. caliber.

David Croft spoke recently of running into Lawrence Stroll after the Las Vegas GP. Apparently Papa Stroll was fuming that Lance didn't get voted Driver of the Day. I'm pretty confident Lance will be at Aston Martin as long as his Dad is the boss. I can't see him ever leaving unless he personally wants to move teams or retires. Lance deserves to be in F1, undoubtedly, but this year proved he's likely going to prevent Aston Martin from ever really challenging the top teams in the constructors.

re: whoever AT are next called year: 1. Yuki leant heavily on his teammate's setups (he is quoted from '23 that he was leaning on Debris) PLUS the mid season upgrades and DannyRic unlocking the front end (source: Jonathon Eddols) have helped him; 2. DR seems to calm down team mates (example- compare intense 17/18 Max to now) and Yuki has said that he has already shown him to be more level headed and brought a different/experienced way to things like debriefs; 3. DR brings some exposure to the RB 19 to "AT" where a lot of RBR parts are going to find a new home in 24; and most importantly for "AT" 4. Rumours are they have two new US sponsors and MarketingDannyRic is a Wet Dream for them which may be one reason the's there and not Liam- but QuickDannyRic needs to show up to more than one Q3 and race a season. Will Yuki beat DR in 24? He could well, depends which DR turns up. Yuki to RBR? No- I don't think he has the temperament. He has too many emotional mistakes. He needs a bit of Lauda in him

F1 You Tubes obsession with Lando ditching McLaren and running off to be a number 2 chump under Max or Charles, or right into a fight with George at RB, Ferrari or Mercedes is just Bizarre. McLaren have the money, the car, and have made him the leader. He has a legit chance at being a champion there, in a team that values him. Not a Checo fan at all, think he's a bit overrated, but I think Checo is a better fit for the seat than Daniel. Maybe Checo has learned what he needs to keep his mental. Daniel I just don't think is at the top end of F1 drivers anymore. He does not have the consistency or precision he had pre-2000. Not the car but look at his lap overlay and telemetry.

Sargeant deseves a second year Schumacher isn't better. Williams seems reasoneble stabile now and rhey seemingly know where the performance comes from.
Theo Pouchaire won the F2 title in his third year so was not realy convincing. The money that Zhou brings is more convincing. The car was bad so both couldn't do anything to stand out. The sounds coming out of Audi's engine project are not stellar yet.
Yuki has a chance now to be promoted to the main team. The rumours go the new sponsors of Racing Bull are demanding Riccardo to sell products. If Pérez stops 'voulantairily' or the results at the start of season '24 are below expectations then Yuki could get the call. Agreeing with your opinion about de Vries.
Haas does need still two solide pair of hands to help with development. Haas can't get ridd off the Ferrari traits of being hard on its tires. In qualifying it is a decent car.
Aitken who has chosen to reject Super Formula to stand in the garage and be the vultcher for the occasion the raceseat teammates have a seveerly falling out. Next year Ocon's contract terminates?
Stroll Sr. is a buisiness man so jr. has an F1 raceseat in '24. After '24 he can be parked in the Hypercar project. This openes the door for Tsunoda (Honda infuence for '26 onwards) or Drugovich to partner up with Alonso.
Honestly i don't see Hamilton to see thue his contract if the car is simulair in performance as the W14 was. Maybe Vesti gets a chance to replace Albon or Norris when they get a chance at Mercedes. Maybe even Vesti gets a direct chance if Norris and Abon feel they are in a better place Mercedes could provide.
Sainz earned a two year extension and if he is not granted one he will be looking around. Even Red Bull isn't off the cards then. I don't see him go to Audi 'cause that would ruine his WDC ambitions.
Pérez' '24 season i predict is being cut short. To replace him i would say Tsunoda and this openes up a spot for Lawson.

It seems that teams are retaining the same drivers for 2024, which highlights another issue in F1; Things are not changing in the sport quickly enough. It'll just be more of the same. Same drivers, no big regulation changes, likely similar races and results.
F1 needs to introduce lots of new measures to keep the fans interested, and limited contracts should be one of them. Each team has to vacate one of its seats at least once every three seasons, sounds good to me, and no driver can spend more than 6 consecutive seasons with one team. 2023 was the dullest season I can ever remember, and f1 is currently dying.

Dont see any “big names coming in (Technical staff “ , and the bigger issue is where are the sponsors ? Surely the Rich Energy saga is partly blame to him.. , also Uralkali / Mazepin could be dealt better (Keep that money , but get rid of Mazepin back then ) and my top pick for a teamboss would be Vowles 9/10 , the way that team is now runned (maybe partially due to Jost Capito ) feels very right, it feels like a Family no media outburst from within but slowly making it better good job James !

If Perez wasn’t having his issues and RBR didn’t have a much better driver waiting on the sidelines, I’d agree, but you yourself know every driver who became a star showed their potential in their first season within less than 10 races. For those factors and the fact he was an experienced driver, had done a race, testing, etc., no more data was needed. I am sure Nyck could have become a solid driver of at least a K Mag level, but RBR has no use for that. So, admit it here where no one will read it: you agree.

The mistake by Marko was giving Nyck the seat to begin with. Logan, who didn't deserve the lone point he got, was still more than Nyck would have gotten over the entire season, including at that race with 2 DQs. De Vries may be the GOAT at setting up cars and helping build a better car; that ability isn't worth sacrificing your second seat. Let him finish out to summer break and what do you gain from it?
