- Mad Mike, one of the most famous drifters in the game, arrived at SEMA 2015 with his INSANE four rotor Mazda Miata in the Garrett Turbocharger booth! Rocking twin turbos, this monster four rotor puts down just north of 1200+hp to the wheels! The sound coming from this machine is glorious. Originally from New Zealand, Mad Mike frequents the United States to compete in Formula Drift events and put V8s to shame with his unique rotary engine setup!

Actually he would get roflstomped by a v8 with similar mods. Drifting isn't a speed sport, rather it's a style sport. Straight line he would lose. Traditional circuit racing is different all together, the car would be completely different with lower power.
+4cyl_LOL ive seen v8s twin turbo with the same power but it comes down to the driver and a a lot of them say rotaries are hard cars to drift yeah you may get the reliability but the noise and compactness of a rotary is a lot better and i havent seen many drift cars with pistons rev to 10k ?
