This stuff is awesome, I'm glad there are people willing to film it and share it with us. Before RUclips I didn't even know this type of stuff even gets done, dyno-ing and dialing in custom built cars to this level, definitely doesn't happen around these parts of the world where most people can barely afford their econoboxes and the people that do mods stop at bolt-ons and replace the engine if something goes wrong. Heck, before RUclips I didn't even know they made stronger aftermarket internals for production engines, or that a damaged head can be resurfaced by a machinists shop. Where would I be able to learn about these things, mechanics school? That place would say don't touch anything that's not oem because "the factory that made the engine knows best and makes the best possible parts to work with the engine they made" or some nonsense like that. Plus that I can't stand being in school and forced to do stuff that I don't want, glad that's over. Like this I can enjoy the videos and learn things along the way. It's not like I can go to a track and ask the owners of custom built cars what they did to their cars and hang around at their shop to learn since this sort of stuff doesn't happen around here, I've never seen a dragstrip aside from RUclips. And even if there were such a thing around, it would be nothing like this level, just a regular tuning shop, what would be the chance they would let a random nobody hang around and learn about what they do. Plus my health and other things like earning a living wouldn't allow me to be there nearly as much as I would like. So yeah, I am grateful to all these people that take the time to show others how they build custom cars, share tips and tricks and teach others how they do things. And not just in cars but in many other subjects, like electronics, computers, mechanics and many more. I learned more from BigClive and Ave than I did getting my electrician diploma. And the likes of Finnegan's garage, motortrend before they went off RUclips, Brent from Pfi speed, Jeremy at Fasterproms and so many more I learned things from, these being a small fraction of the channels I watch, it would take ages to list them all. Years of watching things on RUclips also greatly helped with my English as it is not my native language and without this, games and spending my time figuring out how to use computers, after finishing school I know that I wouldn't of been able to even piece together sentences, like almost all of my schoolmates, unless you have your own activity that makes you deal with English or really wish to learn it, what they do in school is literally useless as almost no one actually learns anything. Forcing people to learn about a language just because "you have to if you want to pass" does not work. They should motivate the students by telling them something like "don't you want to be able to communicate with people anywhere you go, or watch movies without needing subtitles, what if there aren't any for that thing you wan to see, etc, well if you do you should look into this" being fluent and speaking correctly in a foreign language is a really hard thing to achieve, but you don't need that to understand people, communicate and get great usefulness out of it. I got extremely carried away but don't feel like deleting most of this comment as it took a long time to write and has a meaning. But yeah, Thanks for making it possible to see these things without being there, someone from the other side of the globe appreciates it, seeing some of these things is really inspiring. michael capps I sadly am not In America, as I say in my comment my native language is not english, I am from eastern Europe, not the greatest place to be if you want to mess with cars.
It always amazes me how one can know how to make a build like this. How to come up with all the customizations, figure out how to design everything to fit properly, get the desired outputs, engine sounds, gearbox timings, pressure values, cable and tube management, body work. Just making everything fit and work as you imagined it. You need to know everything there is to know about every part and details of a car and engine, every limit and possibility etc to know exactly how to make everything work. There's nothing conventional about this. It's all about pushing boundaries and think outside the box. Anything is possible if you know the ways around it, and to know that shit blows my mind. It's like science and chemistry. It's hard enough as it is and not all people can be a scientist or lab professor. And after years and years of learning, understanding and research you can start manipulate the elements when you know all the do's and dont's like what goes into what and with what or should work with some changing to the variables, what's too much or too little, break everything down and apart to explain every step of a reaction process from one form to another like it's common knowledge... To me builds like this is like that 1% shit what has no drawing where everything is logically planned out for anyone to follow if you just have the tools, materials and handy skills. Like building a house, anyone can do it with a little experience with building. But this is not by the book like "How to build a 1000 hp drift car". This is your imagination and how to apply it in reality using extreme means. This level of customization is like that difficulty in games where it says you won't make it unless you're a professional pro xD Not just live for it, but so addicted that a social life outside the community doesn't exist. Where the regular pro goes "That's taking it too far man". I mean I've seen custom builds with jet engines like how the hell does anyone come up with that idea and then how to make it work in a street car?? You pretty much need to make all the part yourself because you can't find those when shopping for car parts online or at the store.
Idk why but I was expecting this to make more torque? Regardless 950hp/650tq to the wheels is absolutely INSANE! And anyone questioning Rob's choice in turbo size [in his 4-rotor] simply doesn't understand the volume of air being pumped out of a 4-rotor engine. And the graph proves it! Just look at how beautiful that curve is!? Even with that dinner-plate-sized turbo! WOW!!! Rotary FTMFW!!!
Well the big difference between them and this dude they actually work on rotary shit seems like he’s not doing a damn thing and somehow is a rotary god🤔 i never see this dude working on anything either way
I sorta wonder why the exhausts are in three different locations... I remember seeing some N/A engines with intricate and curvy exhaust headers to make the length from cylinder to exhaust tip to be the same for all cylinders. Why ignore that for this build? Is it less useful in forced induction or rotaries?
forced induction doesn't care about header length because the exhaust gasses are just being forced out by the boost pressure. NA engines rely on the scavenging effect to help pull the exhaust out of the cylinders. the equal length header tubes keeps the cylinder all timed correctly so that exhaust gasses flowing out from one cylinder will scavenge, or help pull the exhaust gasses out of the next cylinder in that bank to fire.
@@09hahug The hell are you talking about? Even with their “freedom,” most women outright refuse to do this work, can’t hack it, or have no interest in it. That’s fine. Women and men are different, and they think differently. Engineering is a result of the architecture of the male mind; it is natural that the vast majority of females would not find it appealing.
For the sake of the all time great !!! R26B engine please stop comparing. R26B: different housings Different rotors Runs 3 spark plugs per housing, Has indipendent throttle body's per housing, The housing where re surfaced with specially engineered alluminium to handle the rev range, The eccentric shaft is different, The centre plates where specifically designed to handle the twist incase of backfire and most importantly can rev to 11000 rpm all day of the week generating 900hp. Congratulations it's a great achievement!!! But to come to the conclusion that you can slap together a 4 rotor and compare it to the mechanical engineers at Mazda who spent years of R&D is just a slap to the face for all of us Rotary fans and more importantly the legendary!!! butch t Japan has had ridiculously time attack cars since years ago. I don’t remember if this rx7 was 3 or 4 rotor but it was making like 500 allmotor and was insanely fast on the track.
I imagine that with some adjustments, that LACK of drivability can be cured. I was kinda disappointed to see how jerky and “cough, spit, puke” it acted. Still cool, just room for improvements!
@@duanebailey6253 This is a peripheral port 4 rotor, as in the intake ports go straight into the rotor housings, unlike the Mazda side port intake design that runs through the irons into the rotor housing creating a smooth idle. Peripheral ported motors are notorious for being pigs, and only want to work at full throttle. My brother used to have a peripheral ported NA 13B in an Rx2 sedan, it's was a lot of fun to drive, but was wild to try and drive on the street, very hard to tame a Peripheral port, Abel has done a good job here.
Lmao ur mom
Dang those 4 rotors are redic!!!! Love it

That exhaust note made my neighbors newborn grow facial hair. Had the Dolby surround too high. Woke up the neighbors
Cool ass car I had to stop and check it out wow I feel the adrenaline running just looking at it
Idk why but I was expecting this to make more torque? Regardless 950hp/650tq to the wheels is absolutely INSANE! And anyone questioning Rob's choice in turbo size [in his 4-rotor] simply doesn't understand the volume of air being pumped out of a 4-rotor engine. And the graph proves it! Just look at how beautiful that curve is!? Even with that dinner-plate-sized turbo! WOW!!! Rotary FTMFW!!!
Shout out to the whole crew for the dedication for the passion at its best.
I have a 26b 4 rotor swapped FC detuned to 900.
In Froza Horizon that is. Lol.
4 rotor can't make 900 in horizon. You can't even turbo it, forza is type ass with the rotary
@@thatcornfedrx8guy372 Pretty ridiculous considering you could make 990 with a 20b back in Forza Motorsport 2 (2007)
In CarX drift racing
Wow, a Forward Control with a 900HP 4-rotor, how does it do with turn-1 pileups? ;-)

Check Davids channel you'll not be disappointed
Hoonigans also looked at the car during their Sema special
Saw the bama tag and got excited, I hope I see this beauty out and about some day!
Congratulations!!!! You have the best car in youtube, hands down.
So between Rob Dahm and the Vargas brothers, I'm getting more and more tempted to sell my soul to the rotary lords.
If there is any doubt left search out Mad Mike Haha
Well the big difference between them and this dude they actually work on rotary shit seems like he’s not doing a damn thing and somehow is a rotary god🤔 i never see this dude working on anything either way
Pac Performance is the real rotary GOD, untill I get enough $ to design my own engine :D

"How many exhaust tips does this car have?"
"Yes"
I believe this only has 2 lol
@@connorrobinson7486 1 out the back, 1 out the side and 2 out the turbo
Andries the 2 out of the hood are waste gates I'm assuming, which I guess you could count if you really wanted to
Exhaust out the back, turbo wastegate out the side I'm assuming.
How those that work? One short of the turbo and one the leingth of the car??
When you started it up, I busted out my dad's audiophile headphones 😂
It was nice to see that young lady working on the car. You don't see very much of that nowadays. Kudos to her.
Rakin Will The f*** you talking about? You wouldn't even let them leave the kitchen back in the day. This is progress.

The hell are you talking about? Even with their “freedom,” most women outright refuse to do this work, can’t hack it, or have no interest in it.
That’s fine. Women and men are different, and they think differently. Engineering is a result of the architecture of the male mind; it is natural that the vast majority of females would not find it appealing.

8:23 here it comes
For the sake of the all time great !!! R26B engine please stop comparing.
R26B: different housings
Different rotors
Runs 3 spark plugs per housing,
Has indipendent throttle body's per housing,
The housing where re surfaced with specially engineered alluminium to handle the rev range,
The eccentric shaft is different,
The centre plates where specifically designed to handle the twist incase of backfire and most importantly can rev to 11000 rpm all day of the week generating 900hp.
Congratulations it's a great achievement!!! But to come to the conclusion that you can slap together a 4 rotor and compare it to the mechanical engineers at Mazda who spent years of R&D is just a slap to the face for all of us Rotary fans and more importantly the legendary!!! (787B).
Abdallah Elhassan Do you feel better now?
I get the feeling you overestimate engineers
But it's missing pistons bro!
I still think it's funny how all 3 of the rotary gods are in this video. (David Mazzei, Rob, and Aaron Parker)

Im wrong it wasnt DBW. sounded fine going in so im guessing something melted or was faulty.
I think Robs motor is side ported, like Mad Mike Widdett's 26BTT Mx5 drift car.
You have to use a tad more throttle to smooth out the overlap, the driver wasnt used to it at low rpm
David commented, but I was just about to say the driver wasn’t use to driving this transmission, it’s never jerky when David drives it
