Part 1: • RDR2 | Map Changes Ove...
Part 2: • RDR2 | Map Changes Ove...
Throughout the story, the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 will evolve and change overtime as you progress through the game.
Some of these changes are minor but some like whole buildings being built are the most noticeable.

Cornwall: *dies*
J.D mcknight: it’s free real estate.
Pacific union: Mine
He was a bastard anyway
im guessing thats their version of JD Rockefeller? LOL
@@mr.patriotjol jd rockefeller would be cornwall most likely, jd mcknight is probably based off jp morgan
@@minelayer26 correct, McKnight apparently sold gold to the treasury in the panic of 1893, 3.5 million ounces, which is the same amount Morgan sold that year to the treasury, as for Cornwall, he seems to resemble Carnegie in his appearance
Strange how Pearson wears his winter coat in Rhodes, one of the hottest locations in-game.
MANS NOT HOT
I think this is a bug.
And his scarf on his neck
*cough* new austin
@@sbrw4316 'One of' suggests a plurality.
J.D. McKnight really believes in asserting his dominance
@@Dave_Albright yo thats really interesting. I didn't know that. Awesome how much detail and thought went into the game. Thanks for sharing!
So JD McKnight branding changed after his death in chapter 6?
Cornwall: dies
J.D. McKnight: it’s free real estate
I feel like this represents change perfectly. In 1899 the outlaw era is coming to an end. The army, private investigators, police and the law in general are taking over and making you less and less important. After trying so hard to stay in the past during the story, the epilogue hits hard because you realize it didn’t matter how hard you fought, civilization was going to move forward either way. No matter how hard you fought for survival, the law and civilization already won in 1899, and this is proof that it wouldn’t have mattered if you fought or not.
I understand what you're saying but the heartlands oil fields is destroyed so they kinda still did damage to civilization.
Well, dutch said that in red dead redemption 1 "You can't fight change"
@@commandoti8111 it isn't about damaging civilization, it's about fucking off and being left alone.
Outlaw era? You mean the fronteir? Ended around 1918ish
It's mindblowing how much detail was put into this game, and this just proves that. You could ignore missions and just explore for hours and still have a great time. I'm sure there are still unsolved secrets or things undiscovered in the game today. I don't think there will be another game as good as RDR2 for a long time.
agreed
Gta 6
@@coconutman7797 if gta 6 bring character development as good as rdr2
The last one hits hard Hosea and Lenny were such good characters why did they have to die in the same mission
Nice Work. I never noticed the Cornwall Stuff changing.
3:20 two legends rip lenny and hosea
~tears
JD McKnight’s done alright hasn’t he ?
Oh yeah
I just now realize the big things
I've always loved that lone tree on top of the hill in the first shot. You can always see it in the distance from loads of different points in the map. Idk why, it just makes me feel peaceful
the music of this game is absolutely amazing
I would do anything to play this game again without knowing anything
Wow I actually didn’t notice that all references to Cornwall was removed
This is a game about change
“you can’t fight change john”
I’m not sure if this is bcs of the time of day but the 1907 saint denis air looks much cleaner compared to cornwalls presence in 1899
“ My Pa used to say to me if you stare into the fire long enough you can watch the world pass by” - Hosea Matthews
If you were to go that rock carving as Arthur in 1899 the carving is intact but if you were to go back as John in 1907 the carving has considerably degraded.
More and more civilation...
Jesus Holland Christ civilization*
It oddly makes me side with arthur, somehow it makes the world less desirable
Can do a full entire new austin but do it in changes over time from 1907- 1911 plz like Plainview fort Mercer Armadillo tumbleweed gaptooth breach , gaptooth ridge all of new Austin. Plz
How come we can see that face carving in the mountain as Arthur?
That one was from 1898-1899, that makes sense considering the newspapers state that it's new so it wouldn't make sense having that in online
Its really cool how Rockstar changed little details like Cornwall's name on everything being changed to other tycoons like J.D. Mcknight, now that he's dead. I wish they payed this much attention to online mode.
Damn good work for J.D McKnight
Poor Cornwall. Even Arthur said
" Leave Cornwall alone "
I was completely unaware that Cornwall's name was plastered all over Saint Denis. Goes to show that I should've explored much more than I did.
Actually you got two wrong, one the face in the mountain is there in 1899 and 1907 with no difference at all, I went there as both as Arthur and John and it looked the exact same and the guy who hangs himself is there with both Arthur and John. And the other thing you got wrong was the bridge that Arthur and John blow up, one they don't even blow it up until half way through the game so most of 1899 the bridge is still intact and in 1907 the bridge has already been put back together by then.
Thanks. Yeah, the bridge I messed up on. I originally had 3 swipes, 1988, Chapter 6 and 1907 but somehow I must of deleted the 1907 section in editing and I didn't notice the error until a couple days ago. The face in the mountain part was filmed way back when I did Part 1 but wasn't included at the time. Honestly speaking since I recorded that quite some time ago, I forgot about that and realized the bare rock must of been in Online? Which is technically still 1898/1899 in a way.
It's such a cool detail that cornwall's assets get taken over by another company! And also the sign outside Rhodes general store changes!
Dutch hits Cornwall really hard.
Nobody even bothered to fix Bacchus bridge, because trains are just being used less and less. Pretty cool.
Its fully repaired by 1907
When I'm gone they find another monster
Dutch's quote fits this so much
0:26, that was here when i was arthur
I wish jd McKnight was in the epilogue
Nice vid man! Keep it up :D
1:50 A M O G U S
Got to love Rockstar's attention to detail.
So the grizzlies, are located in South Dakota, cause that was Mount Rushmore
No, it isn't, the sculptor apparently hanged himself, thus it was never completed. You may find the letter if you look around. His wife leaves him for a French Painter located in Saint-Denis. It is possible to find someone there who might be the painter, though is it him? We never know for certain.
Well still, Ambarino represents the North of the U.S spanning from Michigan to Montana.
@@StacieMMeier and that french painter is none other than charles chaternay the one that you helped with his shenanigans.
Can you do a comparison of how the red dead 2 map joins the red dead one map. Around the tall trees and black water area
Pretty much just rivers, after the Owanjila dam was lifted after Nate's election he decided to devide West Elisabeth between the north and the south so that's why all connections between the two where removed.
Thanks for the dedication Noru122. 👍
Great job man
Is J.D. McKnight the Red Dead Redemption version of J.P. Morgan?
yes
I am amazed how they changed any cornwall mentions, because of his death.
CONGRATS TO THIS GAME FINALLY GOT 2020 STEAM GAME OF THE YEAR
This is what makes me cry at 1am
"LENNNNYYYY
After Cornwall died everyones like finally we are free get his name off of everything imaginable
So beautiful
I always find it funny that you can rob Pearson as John
That ending 😢. R.I.P. Hosea and Lenny.
They didn't repair Bacchus Bridge after 8 years?
they did. i think this is just after that mission. after 8 yrs, the new fixed pieces will look black
I seen Noru mentioned in another comment that the bridge was an error on his end. He originally had it swipe 3 times, 1899, Chapter 6 and then 1907 but the last part got removed accidentally and he didn't notice until recently.
Still miss one👍. The lady on the top right corner of the map. She is getting old but still writing the book and she will let you in the house then take everything you want. XD
Nah, for me she died in her sleep and her boys moved out.
Yayy nice !
Jesus jd McKnight had a good year after Cornwall died.
The dynamism I want on gta 6
Nice.
2:27 wait what? wow
3:19 what location is that?
1. It's caused by that one mission where john and arthur planted dynamite to rob a train
2. At the swamp region, north of Saint Denis, i dont know the specific point for the graves though
@@dimaspanjiwicaksono1693 Yea I completed the game a week ago, now I know about the bridge.
@@dimaspanjiwicaksono1693 thanks
0:30 I found the face carving as Arthur in chapter 3.
And still, the GTA 5 building that has a crane next to it, The Mile High Club, sits unfinished to this day. Both games made by Rockstar Games, but they easily could've finished that one particular building. Wouldn't have taken them that long, I'm sure.
Jd micknight own all cornwell things
0:42 so Victory Street Station is changed to VIctoria Street Station. Anyone know if the street name itself actually changes?
Yes
Name of the music?
''The first shall be last'' from the game's soundtrack
Had the gang still been around in 1907
im quite sure dutch would have gone after this
McKnight fella.
J.d McKnight be like ...
Hey how do u do this effect ?
0:47 Damn... they dug someone up?!
That face that's carved into the mountain is in 1899 as well. I go there as Arthur Morgan and get the letter, the apple, the guarma rum, jewelry and special health tonic pamphlet.
But it wasn't there in 1898, pay attention.
@@herredward9277 yes the face is in the mountain......
YOU pay attention. I just went there again yesterday as Arthur Morgan and shot down the npc that hung himself and looted the box that has the special health tonic pamphlet in it and an apple and guarma rum............as Arthur Morgan.
@@rickperry3165 That's because when you play as Arthur Morgan it's 1899, but when you're in online it's 1898, I payed enough attention to know that detail, looks like you didn't. That's why there is a news paper article that says it's new.
@@herredward9277 seeings how I don't play online (too boring), then I wouldn't know that now, would I??
Ok now junior, no reason to keep being offended off a fake face in a fake pixel mountain.
I didn't even notice the face carving
Isn't this one of the CRAZYIST details EVER?
Is the ship still crashed in epilogue at vanhorn and is the fortwallace wall still broken in epilogue
Ship is still wall is fixed
@@gigachad3457 thank you
Spoiler
Anybody else not realize Hosea and Lenny had their own graves or is it just me?
Yeah they died in the games that’s their graves
Oh how the mighty have fallen
My question is what this map would look like in 2020.
Arthur's grave probably wouldn't be there anymore as weathering has taken over and overgrowth. Many train tracks would now have county roads and smaller towns, police stations, local pubs, etc. Some buildings will be renovated for government purposes, land trusts etc. Some will still be there such as pronghorn ranch as a family reunion getaway spot. The Pinkertons will evolve into the DEA. It's just a game but at the same time very weird to see what used to be and what is now.
@@VchaosTheoryV wonder why Cornwall name on some bulding of saint denis got remove and replace by J.D McKnight?
@Frank8678 well that's because the gang has basically bankrupt Cornwall, so another came in and bought em out
I ignored the spoiler warning foolishly...
Jesus the futility of it all. Cornwall the big bad, funding Pinkertons, Undermining Dutch, Funding industry and filling his pockets at the expense of the people at the bottom of the ladder. He thought himself invincible and even after Dutch kills him. Another guy takes his place and repeats it. Jesus that's depressing.
What about the small house outside of Valentine that the farmer and his two sons work on in chapter 2
It was in a previous video.
J.D. McKnight's logo is very modern looking.
@Mr. Obunga that's true
I know this is old news, But theres so many small hints that we are getting a new Medieval game from RS next. Jack's into medieval books and stories. The Cornwall buildings are replaced with J.D "McKnight" and last but not least there is a knight helm you cant find in the game as easter egg.... I cant wait tbh.... If its as good as this fucking masterpiece of a game.
Red dead redemption "middle ages".
Actually there are a lot of construction sites in the game, so next rs game will be a construction game, I'm joking, I'm pretty sure they're working on a gta6
Après avoir été détruit, le Bacchus bridge est reconstruit.
What’s the song name and artist?
Can some one tell me what the heck happened at Bacchus bridge?
you forgot the house next to valentine.
Is it just me but when u where normal clothes in normal weather in camp everyone keeps saying it’s cold
yeah they're like "are you trying to freeze? put on normal clothes"
It's a bug hasn't been fixed
crazy rockstars..
Awesome game
So in 8 years nobody fixed the bridge? Oh ok
one day i will play too
Cool
my rdr2 comparison: 1899 stable
1907 stuttering af
what music is this?
Song?
What happened to Cornwall?
Dutch killed him.
does anything significant change at Emerald Ranch?
I don't think so. I've noticed no changes at all there myself.
The fence guy's facial hair and that's about it, friend.
1899 tell now 1907
Y do u add the same locations as the previous video just different camera angles. bruh!!😑 like the heartlands and the pronghorn ranch
I have ideas for a 1904 dlc
So whats the point of commenting that on here if no one even knows you or acknowledges you in here?😂😂😂🤦♂️
Damn this game is so realistic🥲 and gta 5 is in the same year 2013😑 and that's 8 years ago😂
Cornwall who? ;D
