I’m gonna have a look at the rear shock mounts on our NPS 300, touch wood nothing has failed yet. Thanks for the spin on the winch, we have been wondering what brand to fit after ISUZU said they were dropping Sherpa fits due to unreliability issues. Looks like Carbon is the go. The wife and I enjoy the videos, we just purchased a single cab version and have an Austral slide on pod ( self contained ) we can drop it off at camp and go off in the truck.

compressor - why don't you use the PTO (power take off) on the side of the main gearbox? It's a rectangular plate with 6 bolts & there's a gear behind it in a standard place, there's lots of kit available to fit, including a selection of compressors or jackshafts to use an industrial compressor. You're running the engine anyway to keep the battery charged so why not go direct?

If you can't spend that sort of money on an air compressor, try Boss Air Suspension. 12 and 24 volt. Half the flow of the Oasis , still 100% duty cycle and only 1/10th the price.of the Oasis. I've had a 12V PX07 for over 15 years, over 50,000k's in the desert, numerous pump ups, not one failure or cut out. Worth a look. Great video Mate. My Mate has a Hino set up like yours and he broke all his shock mounts off on the Anne Beadell. Look forward to the next video. Cheers. Also Mate, I've been through a fair few shocks stuffing about (Landcruiser though) and yours look too long for the application. Shocks work best when they aren't near the end of their travel.

Hello from England..looking at your suspension..with the weight your carrying you don't have enough shock absorber travel in downwards direction causing your suspension to bottom out with shock absorber brack taking the hit from fully compressed shocker... solution lengthen your bottom bracket or raise your top bracket so the shocker doesn't fully compress...best solution raise your rear suspension with stiffer springs ..super best solution fit air bag assist .. I hope this helps..😊

Such high quality and very entertaining.

The problem with those mounts is they will fill full of debris in no time, and even though the guy making them has done a revised model with another hole, any sustained dirt work (even on sealed roads) will eventually fill it with dirt and debris, then will impact the bottom spherical joint.
Atw etc won’t upgrade the rear shock mounts because of the work involved, they are more interested in just pumping out bolt on gear, and doing axle welding is a fairly specialised process.
And you need a drain for that air tank, it will fill full of water over time, or run an air dryer

Thanks they are good upgrades. A suggestion for you since you go to treeless places is to get a "winch anchor" fabricated. We have one for our setup and you could fab a heavy duty one for your truck. They are the tree you need when there are no trees.

a flat plate with many holes to nail it down with long pins & a loop at the end to hitch on to works well in many situations though for dry sand burying the spare wheel is difficult to beat.

shock mounts - did you consider extending the bottom spring mount? it's a replaceable part that you can change on the roadside when it breaks & it doesn't risk tearing a hole in the axle casing.
Did you consider using multiple shockabsorbers to spread the load?

There are inverter 240 volt compressors on the market now. Run on a 12/24 volt to 240 volt inverter.
I run one in my work ute, will run a plasma cutter, spray painting gun and medium consumption air tools. Have replaced tyres and used this compressor to rebead and reflate on 16 inch rims understandably only. Runs about 8 CFM. so takes about a minute to inflate.

Might want to take a look and see if they might have something the trucking community could use?

The 4x4 off-road influence community needs to leave the PSI reading and present it as a percentage of std hwy Presure.
I say this because I’ve heard about motorhome owners taking Offroad 4x4 pressures as gospel.
But a motorhome starts at 100 psi.
    Not 35 -40 like a twin cab.
So 20psi is only 50% reduction.
    Not 80% reduction.
Just my view on getting people educated.
