I am amazed that none of you guys have installed a desalination system like the RAINMAN system. That will allow you to carry way less water, and fill up ANYWHERE - fresh/brackish/salt water, and means you can stay anywhere for a much longer time. That is the FIRST modification I am adding to my NPS build!. P.S: Love your build!....
@@exploringoffthegrid Awesome. They are perhaps a game changer in remote touring. I would recommend RAINMAN. I have zero affiliation with them but have friends who use them of yachts and love them. Seems like a no brainer for a remote 4WD setup.

I love the truck set up, trucks are superior to any 4wd for long distance travel, pretty much everywhere but high country, where the tracks are narrow. The only problem with this type of setup is that you need to be 2.2m tall to comfortably use the kitchen and prep table. In case of the Unimog you need a scaffold to reach the fridge on the tray🤣

0:20 Hey rick nice work mate ive a single cab on the way myself for atw and dynamic build. Don't know what you think about a slide out pantry with tables to do food prep and on the back of the pantry a fold down table for a wash , cleaning area idea's endless cheers
I have used them in my droving camps for years I know how to sort most of the problems out unless you dump a load of cash they are going to have some issues number 1 is getting the torque delivery right the first thing I do is the exhaust and fuel pump and injectors once you power them up they are awesome for towing and the 4x4 will make towing up dirt tracks easy the ride is the biggest issue and for that reason they are not suitable as a travel vehicle I am going to help a mate fit air bags on his dual cab Mitsubishi like we have on bigger truck cabin's yeah awesome tow truck just don't push it
Superb vehicle Rick. We have had two trays and two canopy s from Dynamic Engineering superb work and service, your truck was there the last time i was just before you let George drive one on Frazer, always watch your videos, keep on having fun.
Currently in the process of fitting out our new canopy in our truck, and are going the way of the Milwaukee packout gear, lightweight, super convenient in a different amount of sizing, and allows me to remove the tools etc from the truck when we are back home to utilise back in the shed. Highly rate it, I know a few other builds that have utilised it also to good effect.
I have own a few i know the bad point's they are an awesome little truck with the right exhaust and fuel modifications sort the torque out awesome as for a travel vehicle and 4x4 my last choice you will end up with back problem's the roof needs to be raised so suspension seats can be fitted and some air bags under the cabin getting Off a muddy building site is about the 4x4 capacity of them providing they have a front diff lock don't drive over 80km or it will destroy top gear
Yeah mate, I haven't had anything to do with the Runva's but will be interesting to see how they go. Sherpa's have never let me down so that's why I stuck with them!
Whats your opinion of a single cab, upgraded king shocks, super singles, dual fuel tanks, water tanks on a 2wd truck? 17000lb Sherpa winch. All up less than 7t. Not aim for the most remote place on earth but anywhere a supply truck or civilization can reach.
Hey mate can we see a vid of the outboard motor being harnessed and lowered? Just trying to grasp the concept of this. For eg. Does the outboard get scratched when lowering it? Does it scrap on the truck when lowering it also raising it up back into position?
Looking good.👍💪 They are beasts. 🦍 I might have missed it but are your actuators strong enough to raise the top for sleeping with the Jimmy boat on top? Howdy from Florida 👣🏖🐬🏄♂️🏄♀️🌞🌊

Put a slide on van on single cab with lift off legs so you can take a decent size boat behind and launch it when set up that's my dream

How to oder the super single rim for isuzu elf 4x4 or canter?

When using the harness, I just hold the outboard out from the back of the truck, the little Suzuki is not heavy and real easy to move around

what's the fuel consumption for one of these being driven like that, offroad, overlanding, etc..?
Gday mate, sorry I never really take much notice of fuel consumption - as long as I have enough to get to the next refill is all I worry about.
Another RUclipsr with similar setup gets approx 1000km from 280 litres of fuel.
Is it true you can't fit air suspension seat in single cab
What sort of fuel economy are you getting out of these setups. Cheers

Is this still available. 03/10/2024...1815hrs.
only problem is is you build your rig around electrical and suttle weather. most likely that will falter and the weather will destroy your rig
Why they didnt show us where they sleep ???
watch it again ...
What’s a setup like this cost? 300k?
There abouts!

I guess if you have to ask the price… you can’t afford one.

There's nothing cheaper with the same payload, towing and 4wd capabilities.
