People don't realise that the NPS is an insanely VFM product. You don't have to spend for GCM upgrades of any sort and with the right tyres, it does well off-road. People just think that bigger equals more money, wait till they find the actual cost of making an LC79 off-road worthy. I saw a couple of those questions about how you afford your truck etc on your previous videos, and whilst I take my proverbial hat off to you for sharing that part of your journey it really is nobody's business but your own. We often get the "it must be nice to be able to afford one of those, or the how?" question about our Canter. The answer to that is most of the mods on ours were designed, manufactured, and fitted by me. It took years of engineering study and years hands-on in the research and legal engineering fields to get where I did, and the reward to both of us was to 'build' the exact truck we always wanted - right down to every last detail.
You are spot on about the fact that people should be happy for others when they work hard to have the lifestyle they want and get to enjoy it. You'd think we'd be a bit better than some of those comments. With any luck the fact you dealt with the subject so patiently and with such good grace might even convince some of those commenters to eat a little 'humble pie' and check their assumptions next time they feel compelled to comment. Well done, and enjoy every moment of what you've sacrificed so much to have.

Thanks guys for the raw honesty… BUT…. What the actual….. you have no obligation to reveal your personal ins and outs! The pure reason for the u tube is genuine and commendable. If people follow or like the content then so be it subscribe and like and enjoy the ride… if not… the to be blunt.. PISS OFF! Example.. I am thinking of starting a you tube channel myself for a totally unrelated topic or niche. Primarily for my kids I have health issues and will NOT live for ever or be able to do what I do for ever. So it’s some thing they can what’s and remember from me.. and if others benefit then that’s great to!

I had to subscribe as you are now my next favorite channel because of the truck. I wanted to buy one after I sold my Y62, but my wife wouldn't let me spend the extra over a Next-Gen Ranger ( tragic Ford diehard ) with canopy and some accessories to tow our van. I could've saved by fabricating my own canopy and tray etc' to keep the cost down, so it would've been about the 150k mark ( no need for a boat as I don't fish ).
It's just us 2, so we have enough room in the 4wd, and it will go where we want it to.
People are crazy spending mega bucks chopping Land Cruisers, but whatever floats ya boat......

Nice rig. I tow with a 2000 International 4700 mid duty flat bed truck. On the flat bed we haul a Suzuki Grand Vitara and tow a 26 foot off road travel trailer. So many young people do not know what it is like to work hard, live within their means and save. I have had friends who made lots of money and lived beyond their means. Today they have nothing. Keep up the good work.

Good on you guys for being so open about your finances and your choices - I think that kind of transparency helps cut through the shiny instagram style content that just makes people feel jealous or inadequate.
This way people can see that you guys are just ordinary people who have worked hard and had a bit of good luck and maybe be a bit inspired by it.
Also I think you guys definitely made the right decision to go with a truck instead of a ram or a chopped landcruiser, neither of those are commercial vehicles built to carry what you guys are carrying these trucks may be slow but they will be dependable.

Love following along with your adventures. It is so nice to follow a real family, just enjoying being together & making lifelong memories... especially for your 3 gorgeous boys. Can't believe how people feel they need to know about you afford what you have, and what you do. Maybe now they know it all comes from hard work, not just a 'powerball' they can just relax & enjoy your travels. Keep going & stay safe.
