Hi Mrinal, it's truly sad to see you experience SFO during these dark times in the US. SFO and California as a whole used to be such a vibrant colorful state. Hopefully the next time you're here, the US would've returned to it's former glory.
The lawleswness, and the fog covering the city for most of the time ,San Fransisco now reminds me of Gotham now. We don't go there past 7pm without a car.
I actually noticed the same thing as well.I went for a summer program back in July and after around 8 most shops were closed except for some pizza shops and the streets were pretty empty. And this was in Yale University so you can expect young people to be there but even then it was mostly empty...
People are growing to be more secluded and limited to their homes. Post covid, especially young boys avoud social interaction and stick to their screens it seems
This is what I don’t like about developed nation cities. I personally prefer services and facilities in India, South east Asia and Middle East countries. Asia is awesome 💪🏼
Yeah I get where you're coming from usually low income countries in south east asia have no work life balance we have to work beyond the normal 9-5 and we complain about work life balance and this tirckles down to the low end jobs too. And especially in Europe most of the shops close down for the weekends there worklife balance is a huge factor not just for people working in corporates even for people working at low end jobs.
SFO used to be very different 4-5 years before. It was a very happening city. But now there is a huge homeless population, drugs on the streets everywhere, theft rising such that major brands decided to close down there operations etc etc. The downtown is a ghost town now. Hope it goes back to hat it was 5 years ago.
