Thank you for watching! xx
Love your work and your videos are so easy to understand 💞 but I wished you showed how you had your picture transferred from Lightroom to photoshop. I really need help with that.
Which iPad do you have? The ipad 11" or the 12.9"
For travellers this would be the necessary gadget to carry in the backpack.. like ur work Julia ❤️
Travelling is one of the main reasons I got one! Can’t wait to be able to use it on the road :) And thank you!
I would rather get the surface pro X 2020
@@Dylon1981 So you want a vastly less capable device? Gotcha! You go get one of those and report back......
I loved watching your retouching flow on the ipad. I bought mine last year and I’ve not really given it much use, I feel like computer is always easier and quicker for everything. I’m looking for a way to incorporate it to my creative workflow
hmmm would be curious to find out a little more as I am just dying to get one. What type of work do you normally do? ^^
computer is much faster. get a Wacom tablet and you're ready.
@@ClassicPolly Hi! I do graphic design. Actually after watching this video I did a full poster in iPad Illustrator. You can see it on my insta @carlosdelpino if you’re curious! Lmk if I can give you some suggestions! :)
Hey Julia ... that’s so cool, love how versatile the iPad can be if you know what you doing 😁 & you always know what you doing 🤩
Aw thank you!
Curious about your culling process...do you delete images you flag with an ‘X’? Great video, BTW...thanks!
Hey Julia! Love your vids, I was wondering how you integrate all this in your workflow with LR Classic on Desktop? Or did you completely switch over to Lightroom CC? Many thanks in advance
Intresting
That's what I’d like to know too
Me too.
My adobe cloud storage has been filling up and would like to know a better way to integrate my LR mobile work into LR Desktop
Would like to know this as well.
Is there any image quality difference if you export jpeg through Photoshop on I Pad? What I know is in Lightroom it will only be 90dpi not 300.
excellent video Julia, concise and informative. I wish i could have seen this months ago when i was trying to figure out a culling workflow. if i could have seen this i would have been up to speed a lot quicker.I like your editing techniques with curves too. well done.
🙏 Namaste ji
👌
Thanks for making this video
i love this type of video's
Please make more videos on this Lightroom mobile edit
I want more videos like this and please do more and more work on this subject such as skin retouching, color grading everything you know about photo editing.
Hello, I need help with something. I'm using an iPad pro M2 and I'm an amateur photographer, I process the raw files I took in lightroom and save them to the gallery at 15 MB resolution when I export them. Later, when I open these 15 MB photo files in Photoshop, make a few simple corrections and export again quickly, the resolution drops to 900 KB and the image quality drops, I couldn't figure out where I went wrong. I'm an extremely uninformed user, by the way, do you have any knowledge of photoshop, I need help, thank you very much.
I've been talking about the 2020 Ipad non stop last week. Looks like a great tool for pretty detailed work on images. Great video, I think I've finally made up my mind^^
Julia this is so awesome!! Thank you for making these videos for us 🥰 I'm curious for those of us who don't use Mac, if there's a windows tablet you would recommend for a photo editing??
I always learn something new from your videos. For basic cloning/healing is there any reason you don’t just stay in Lightroom? Since those edits are non destructive especially with the versions feature, why go to PS? Just more granular controls?
Photoshop for iPad is still lacking sooooooo much. I just started using affinity instead, and I am so happy.
Hi Julia, would you recommend using an iPAD Air instead of iPAD Pro for editing photos. Any reasons ?
Hi I'm dom from cambodia
may i ask how we export the photos on iPad Pro 2020 or Photoshop with logo pn file ??
Thanks you
Hi Julia! I actually use the same workflow for uploading images to my computer. I load them to LR classic and then sync them to the cloud. The only (and major) downside to this is that with LR mobile you can’t download the full size image. Do you also run into this issue? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Hi do iPad Pro have capability make album or collage using photoshop? Or any psd file can be open on iPad Pro app photoshop?
Great video 😃 I love using Lightroom on my iPad Pro with the pencil but it’s still just too limited compared to Lightroom on Mac that I’ve never really done any “proper” work on it (I still have to go back to my Mac to double check everything and export, since on the iPad it has less export options). But it’s just so fun and relaxing to use, it’s so calming to sit on the sofa with the pencil and do some editing, I can’t wait for it get more fully fledged and use it more.
this video made me want to get an ipad pro, love the video Julia ..
This is awesome! Great for travelling photographers
How do I sync my photo from lightroom app to the photoshop app? I get a message photo could not be shared because original is not available
Hello!!! Can you use LIQUIFY in this photoshop?
Hello dear, may you photos you work on are raw or JPEG file? Thanks
Great video. Thanks so much I really appreciate it!
All in all, the iPad is a great device to put flags on edited photos and work as a stamp.
what photo shoots is this? is there a behind the scenes video? bc I neeed to see :D
I just lost 600 photos on Lightroom CC. None cares. Adobe it’s not for pros anymore..
You should always be downloading your photos to your harddrive and backing up. Only use software to process/look at your images!
Now you're an ipad make-up artist 😀
Odd questions but I do have a subscription to PC edition of PS and LR but I find I'm more productive at editing on Ipads is that a bad thing?
What gb iPad do you recommend??
Julia, I just ordere the Ipaid Air 2020 and want to use it to edit photo's on the road. Can i use the Ipad to copy photo's from my Sony A7iii to a external HDD or to import the full RAW files into Lightroom without a Macbook or other PC? Thanks!
Also have identical iPad, but trying to use Affinity Photo. Cool editor with bunch of nice features designed special for touch screen. BUT - iPad has no file system, because of this 50 percent editing workflow time is file transfer through iCloud.. So I continued using PC with Capture One for editing, because file management much better. iPad more convenient only for deep retouching.
Great video, I have the iPad Pro 2018 with Apple Pencil, but am seriously considering the 2020 model for when away from home, due to my 2018 having minimum specs and as we all know how much space RAW files take up. Your video definitely inspires me as the workflow in the iPad is much more seamless. Thank you
I was so excited to see this video. I now edit primarily using an iPad Pro and Lightroom. However affinity photo for iOS is light years ahead of Photoshop for iOS .
I’m glad you liked it! And yeah I’ve heard great things about Affinity, I would like to try it out next. To be completely honest I prefer doing my retouching on my computer with my Wacom tablet so I hardly ever use Photoshop here - but who knows, maybe Affinity will change that!
You mentioned that editing on your current iPad feels a little "clunky" when you had a few layers going on. May I ask if you're using the M1 iPad Pro, or the A12z version? Also, do you prefer editing on your iMac with your mouse, or do you find editing with the pen more *engaging* ?
Hi Julia Trotti I'm your biggest fan, Suggest me a which phone is best for mobile photography?
Thank you for sharing this information
what size did you use fro Ipad Pro?
Hi Julia! Do you have a best Instagram upload quality off of an iPad Pro tutorial? Thank you!
Great video, I really want to make the best of my iPad Pro. Have you made a video about how you actually make ‘these’ ^videos. I love the perfectly-framed overhead camera 🤩 would love a BTS video!
Editing vid! Yas yas yas
Nice! I'm guessing this was done prior to Adobe's update.
This is excellent video Julia. Very interesting. I do a lot of masking and I love my Wacom tablet. I don't think I can get away with my work on iPad. But technology is ever growing and expanding.
Can you do more videos like this
Hi there. I intend to get an ipad pro to edit my photos. I consider ipad 2018 and 2020. My old Ipad is kind of slow. So Is it worth it to jump to ipad 2020 or they work almost the same speed ?
I Just Watch Ur Video For U Mam U R So Cuteeee Love Form. India ❤️❤️
Love your workflow edit on iPad Pro... Definitely I will apply the tips and tricks.
Video starts 4:51 👍🏻
Great video thank you
E a textura como trabalhar com iPad ?
Great tool for travelling. But there are too many things to learn to make it happen on an Ipad
A 13 inch pro it will remain the best option for travel with solid quality and result.
Great video. I’ve been using an iPad 2020 since April to edit all photos and even some video. I use Lightroom, however I don’t use photoshop for iPad. Rather, I use affinity photo for retouches.
Great Video. I’ve been doing the same lately with my IPad and I love it. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾👍🏾
What specs do you recommend when buying the iPad Pro for running Lightroom and photoshop?
You are so beautiful dear
Hey is that the 11” or 12.9”?
random girl on insta - "you are beautiful the way you are" after spending 2 hours on makeup then editing the pic for another hour
How did you jump from Lightroom to Photoshop? Thanks.
Is this the 12.9 or 11???
Loved it!! I also love how you kept the part where you took the screen protector off in the video that was great haha
Hi Julia do you recommend the 11” or 12.9” for photo editing
whats the difference of lightroom mobile and lightroom cc?
Great video, I love my iPad Pro
I did the same exact same thing with the screen protector. Had it on for about 2 hours and then got rid of it because I felt the colors were off.
How do you sync your images? Are they raw? How do you sync your presets? I’m so lost
Julia!! I love your videos so much!! Can you please do a tutorial on the color grading wheel feature on adobeLR please!!!! Split toning is so much harder for me now :(:( Thank you!!
Julia, do you offer a Beginners guide to Ipad editing? A little fast for me--for example, how you rate thumbnails in order to decide which photos to further edit. Thanks!
Omg thank you other tuts went way off yours was just simple and what I needed.
I like a lot these videos related with Ipad work flux. Thanks!!!
I was debating on getting a paper-like screen protector too, but they're designed around writing and drawing so there is no way around the matte look which can be a distraction for photo editing when looking at colors.
What is the correct name for the Photoshop I couldn't find it in the app store
Love your videos! I'm still working with ipad after transitioning from laptop, and want to know what kind of workflow you use from the detail tab with Soft/slightly off Focus portraits to bring out the detail without oversharpening?
Hi Julia! Greetings from your fan in Laos 🇱🇦
Hi,
Did you exported the final RAW photo and open in PS or when you finished the edit you can open PS from LR ?
On the iPad you can open the file from Lightroom straight into Photoshop - however this is just a "preview" file and not the actual high res image. So when I want to retouch, I export on my computer to PS instead.
I have the same ashahi Pentax! And just want to say that I love your content!
This was super helpful! Thanks! Do you know if there’s a way to add frames / borders to Lightroom images on this iPad version of Photoshop? I’m on the trial version right now but can’t find a way to add white borders to my images like I can on the Ps desktop version using the canvas feature. If there isn’t a way to do that on Ps yet, do you have any recommendations on how else I could do that?
Thank you so glad you enjoyed it! I’m not sure if there is a better way, but you can use the crop tool and hold onto the circle “reform crop” button as you’re dragging it out to keep your original aspect ratio. Then just fill in the background layer with whatever colour you want for the border - hope that helps!
I love you Julia Trotti
Really great video:) plz do more of these iPad editing videos!!
Skip ahead to 4:40 to the actual editing.
Great video and workflow. I got an iPad, I like the screen and portability, but it has many downsides. it is very slow at importing photos. On Lightroom for iPad you can not enter captions or keywords to multiple photos at once (unlike you can do on The android version). The file system is too limited on the iPad. You can not see the file extension so to tell raw from jpgs you have to look at the file size. While editing on the iPad is fun and relaxing, it can be a nightmare when on a crunch or when dealing with many photos. Also there are no precession bars when importing video and photos, you you have no idea how long it will take or if there are errors. I do love LumaFusion video editing. But a MacBook Air, the new one with M1 chip is so much more flexible than an iPad, and cheaper for the specs after all. But iPad has also room for improvement.
Thank you and I agree, that’s mostly why I only use the iPad as an extension to my computer rather than as an actual laptop. That would be a great feature they could add, a bar to show the progress of your import/sync from Lightroom Desktop - it is super weird not knowing when it’s done. I also don’t like that it syncs your files out of order as well, so you can’t start editing while it’s syncing, you have to wait until it’s finished to make sure you don’t miss editing any photos. I’m excited to see what else they do with the iPad in the future, there are so many things they could improve on, hopefully they do! For me personally it works the way I was hoping, I mostly just wanted to spend less time sitting in front of my computer - so editing photos on the ipad while outside or whatever is a really nice option to have :)
@@juliatrotti yes I fully agree, it is refreshing to go through photos on the iPad, especially personal stuff, it is more refreshing and meditative, I feel it works great to do ratings/picks. But the slow import really handicaps it as a professional tool under a crunch. Apple could really allow it to be more powerful with some improvements. But also I need to provide captioned photos to my editorial clients, and I can not enter a caption one by one. I think if I went on a trip where I am shooting a lot of personal photos I need to bring a Macbook air, the iPad could work for a weekend away.
terima kasih
Cool demo. I edit 90% in Lightroom mobile now.
this helped me so much!! thank you :)
I'm very inspired by Ur work plz do Cary on we r there for u❤️
You are a bless! Learned a lot from this video 😊
I suddenly want one
Still awake? 🤣🤣🤣
(This time it is actually late)
Finally thank you
Love your vids Julia! Keep it up...
Good video, thank You
"👍👍👍👍👍👍Mil youtube "
Awesome video Julia
Julia the screen protector paperlike is for people that draws, not for photo editting or video editting because the color accuracy of the panel is not good then, just get rid of it :)
I actually do a lot of drawing on the ipad too which is why I decided to try paperlike :)
@@juliatrotti can you take on and off the screen protector? Or its one time apply
Affinity photo is sooo much better on iPad than Photoshop is. Just cleaned up a bunch of photos from a bridal shower and it was heaps easy to use. Lightroom is a great tool for the iPad tho
I still need to give Affinity a try, but I agree that Photoshop is pretty limited. I mostly use my iPad for Lightroom then move back to my computer to do skin retouching!
@@juliatrotti But you can do retouching in Lightroom mobile right?
"Eu não não amor não não não RUclips???"
i've been waiting for this!! YAY!!!!
nice
Those photos are looking amazing SOOC 🔥 So many great photos culled though 🥺🥺🥺
Thank you so much! I knowww I wish I could edit them all 😭
@@juliatrotti oooh do you have any videos revisiting / re-editing old photos? Would be cool to see how your process / look / style has changed / adapted / developed over time, or if there are older styles you would love to emulate again!
