No one. Not once. Not ever. Talk about all or nothing statements. All cops? All citizens are guilty until proven innocent these says. The onus is on the citizen not to get trapped. That’s what a narcissist does and the officer won’t even tell you that you can remain silent until arrested. Without grounds for arrest m? Best to have a cam. Even then the authorities can go either way. US gun culture fosters a lot of paranoia. Most people are law abiding. Why is everyone getting a gun in their face? Doesn’t escalate that fast in most other countries. Step on my property and I can blow you to kingdom come. Not nice. So much for tolerance. A few bad guys and the justice system make it difficult for innocent people. A lot changed on Sept 2011 and got worse each mass shooting. 25 US states sell guns without background checks.

@@jonnym4670 Car had a spoiler that the cop put his left foot against, while using a hand to grip what appears to be a window lip. Him hugging low to the car should have put all his weight against the spoiler and kept him from falling off, while his hand prevented sliding left/right. Appears completely doable, though rather difficult.
It would have quite likely been legally perilous to use deadly force since he unnecessarily placed himself in that dangerous situation by not only standing in front of a fleeing vehicle but also climbing onto it. Many departments have strict policies against doing this not only for liability and officer safety reasons but also because it often avoidably results in the death of the suspect.
A fleeing suspect is going to flee. Cops creating a life or death situation from what otherwise wouldn't have been and then trying to pass that as a valid use of force is weakening in court. Guy called his bluff and lost.

You can find plenty of police chase videos where suspects drive until the tires pop and keep going. Also shooting could further agitate the driver to driving even more recklessly than before. Two, police LITERALLY stopped doing these tactics a bunch cause it cause far more danger to people in the surrounding getting into hi speed chases and sending lead everywhere. The suspect isn't trying to ram people. He's trying to escape. Just follow him at a distance and let a chopper keep tabs on him. That has literally been the now method of catching chase suspects for years and you box them in when you can or let them run out of gas, or even just arrest them later if their stupid enough to go home. So you can sit there with that Hollywood mindset of yours.

He is running in fear. You may not know it, but black men FEAR the police like you would the Boogeyman. They are taught to be aware of them because they murder black men. History had also proven this to them! Emmit Till and many many other children like him. So black men freak out when police are coming after them! On another note, scientist, zoologist and political freedom fighters have rationalized the erratic behavior of aggressive elephants to generation memory related to past trauma's. Same is now being said for the Killer Whale. But it's not possible this same thing is happening in the complex evolutions of a human! Make it make sense please! People keep praising cops for their "control" on such confrontational situation while the cop hold a gun pointing at a human being, when he could have the most control of the situation just by shooting the tires of the vehicle which the most would go not to fast to nowhere. But in that unnecessary drama he provoked he could have lost his life just by opting to climb on the car and play Hollywood to his shoulder camera.
Rule #1. Don't get in front of the car.
It's rather common for cops to hold contact with the car to discourage drivers from driving away, you see in all the time in traffic stops and chases alike. Unless your dealing with a sociopath like this guy, people with common sense usually don't want to pick up a serious charge like this one.

Nope, that cop put himself on top of that car. This happens so often you would think cops are trained to jump on top of/in front of fleeing vehicles to justify deadly force. He put his own life in danger knowing full well the risks, the suspect didn't do that. If this only happened once in a while you could blame it on adrenaline, call it an accident, and give them the benefit of the doubt, but when you see video after video of cops jumping in front of fleeing vehicles to try to claim their "life is in danger" it's obvious they know exactly what they're doing and they're doing it on purpose. I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest.
