Doing a FOIA request would tell you if there was a call or if the officer made it up. As for going after the caller: Pursuing criminal action would depend on how the state laws are worded. In some states, any untruthful call to the police can be prosecuted. In others it would have to be signed or sworn statement. Then you have to get a prosecutor to file the charges. Ken could also go after the caller civilly, as in a lawsuit, but in order collect Ken would have to show how he was financially harmed by being pulled over and balance that against the cost of a lawyer and the time and hassle.
If he can find out who called on him, I think the thing to do would be to have and attorney send the person a polite letter. State that police records show that they caller made such a call on that date and time. Then explain the law on making false complaints and point out that making a false complaint could also expose them to a lawsuit and civil penalties. Don't actually accuse the caller of anything and don't threaten a lawsuit.

I used to have a retired detectives state police unit its just all grey with spot lights and would get Karen's giving me shit at gas stations and what.not when they would see that I was just some regular young guy and not Leo and they would threading me that they are calling their so and so family members that is law enforcement and reporting my car 😂 some people literally spend their day looking for things to complain about I've also had quite a few pissy but hurt cops that wou!d try and threaten me into getting rid of my car this was like 10 years ago when cops still drove crown vics so I would get sports waves by other cops thinking I was their detective😂😂😂 I would wave back in not going to be rude, doesn't mean I'm impersonating A cop but some didn't like it oh well

Given that somebody reported you for "going 120mph and weaving in and out" I would highly advise you use a timestamped dashcam every time you drive to record your travels. Thus you'll have the footage available to prove otherwise. And perhaps it could be used as evidence against the person who phoned it in for filing a false police report.

Obviously you were not traveling with lights illuminated. But People are dumb and do not know the difference between lights and siren. Kind of like calling LEDs, a strobe

It amazes me how often people will lie when calling in some strange person they don't understand. Unless the cop was lying trying to get you to admit using the lights, if someone actually called in saying you were using them, they should do a follow up with that caller. track their phone down and ask them why they called in a false police report.
My mother had one of those Crown Vic Police Interceptors. It had a transmission cooler, power steering cooler, aluminum driveshaft and some kind of plastic hood on a steel frame so you could throw the criminals over the hood and bust em' lol. And when we got it it still had the police center console with all the strobes and sirens. We used to use it at car shows only and for only like 5 seconds. Great video Ken! 👍👍🍺🍺

Did you hear what he said though?! Someone called and said you were traveling 100mph and weaving in and out of traffic. That pisses me off. The narcissistic Caren thing is out of control. These people lie just to sir up trouble. I don’t understand their motivation.
I almost NEVER open carry a firearm, but when we have an Arkansas Muzzle Loader Association event I would carry my .44 ball and cap on my hip. I have done this four or five times. Twice I have had the cops called on me which in and of itself wouldn’t bother me. If you see something that raises your cackles I would rather you say something and be wrong than not say something and be right. But on at lease one occasion the cops were told that I was pointing that weapon at people on the street. That gun would NEVER leave the holster. Lies like that get cops coming in hot and that is how people get hurt. It’s not okay behavior.
Complainants should face legal criminal charges when their "complaint" cannot be confirmed as they described.
Lies like that are why it’s dangerous to say men are stronger than woman cause woman lies can get people arrested, killed or start wars smh.

Time to investigate someone filing a false police report and likely abuse of the 911 system to do so. If you don't already I recommend always having a dash camera on in case you get that one cop having a bad day who thinks you're guilty until proven innocent. Besides, all respectable cop cars have dash cameras.

I had an old cop car myself. All white, new paint job. Some ex-cop didn't like that and called the cops and said I was shining my spotlight at them, when I was doing no such thing. So yeah it's pretty common BS.

You heard it here folks, Ken drives 120 mph while swerving in and out of traffic and passing in the shoulder! Only two options as to what really happened which is 1. Either someone called in and told this big story(unlikely since Ken passed him) or 2. The cop lied. My vote is #2. It's amazing how much and easily they do it.
Never have trusted a single cop (and I have a few in the family). That's how they're taught & instructed from the academy through their job. People have way more rights than they think they do these days!! They are not your friend....they're paid to carry a gun and to be suspicious of EVERYTHING!! Protect yourself and your freedoms, learn your rights and exercise them. Or they will walk all over you and anyone you know!!

Ken... silly bit of advice. Lighten up the keychain attached to your ignition key. Hanging that much weight from the lock wears it out prematurely, and they're a pain in the butt to change, especially on an airbag car. You might save yourself an afternoon with a steering wheel puller.

I don't know if you had video rolling of the encounter with Karen or not, but filing a false police report is a felony, and a video of the encounter would most likely make a prosecutor happy and a Karen jailable. :) May the wind be at your back and your drone forever up high!

The caller said he was weaving in and out of traffic and using the shoulder at over 100 MPH. Ken didn’t really seem to deny it. I hope that’s not true and if not, I wish Ken would have denied it.

A guy here in Oregon has an old cruiser like that. He parks it near the end of his driveway everyone drives by nice and slow when they see it.
We had a retired police car. Red lights, scanner and CB radio antennas, and A-pillar mounted spotlight. Driving to a conference in New Jersey, heard on the CB: truckers alerting to a cop in the area, then "it's a rescue squad from Virginia," after reading the plates.

In Pennsylvania, our gated community had a couple of security patrol units that regularly patrolled within the community, but I actually saw the security units get pulled over by the police a couple of times when they were outside the community and driving around township roads. I don't know if they committed any violations but one time I noticed that the security patrol unit was driving around with the emergency lights flashing, and then got pulled over after driving passed a police car. The lights on the security units were red and blue though, not amber lights. I don't think the security guards were supposed to keep them on unless they were responding to a call, blocking off a street, or pulling somebody over.

Uhaul has one of these at their maintenance facility and they routinely take it a couple miles away to local rental offices because converter theft is a major problem.
Cops don’t catch the converter thieves but routinely claim that “someone called” saying that they were pretending to be police.

I’ve seen cops on RUclips pull over guys who not only had their vehicles decked out with actual red and blue lights, but they also had the entire police officer uniform with body armor and everything. It’s kind of fun to watch them make these guys squirm before they arrest them for impersonating an officer😂

I am very surprised that you don't have a dash cam mounted in there and on all the time. When the police pull you over and say they got a ridiculous complaint, you could offer to show them the video which would be proof you weren't doing anything wrong. Oh, wait, in one of the shots it does look like you have camera mounted on the windshield.
BTW, what make and model of light bar do you have on your roof? It looks very nice and seems to work well.
I have a 2011 crown vic police interceptor, all white, no light bar, but I am an armature radio operator and have a few antennas on it as well as the unit number still on the roof, and people drive real polite around me. Oh and one thing I hate they will never pull in front of me at a 4 way. I have to always pull away first.

I've had decommissioned cop cars since the 1970s (including an ISP 1974 Dodge Monaco Blues Brothers edition). Currently my ride is an '04 CVPI white with a busted spotlight and the front pushbars in need of a repaint, at least on the hood. It should be due soon to qualify for an Antique License Plate. I moved the Police Interceptor oem badge from the rear trunk to the dashboard where its only visible to riders inside. Have a GRANDPA money clip on the visor. Since owning it from 2007 only got stopped once 7 years ago by a jerk trooper who cited me for speeding 15 mph over the limit on I95 and admitted he only chased me down to satisfy curiosity as to whether or not I was some sort of "Constable." Just got a dash camera for my protection to record events from my perspective. Take care while driving these iconic hotrods. Happy Motoring.

Depending on where you live, there can be no law saying you can't run amber lights in motion. In fact you can have flashing red lights as long as the vehicle is not moving. Just like you have your 4 way flashers on. The difference is if the vehicle is moving it can be interpreted as a police car, but a vehicle stopped, red means danger, yellow means caution. Whether the police like it or not like it has no significance legally.
It is not illegal to use those lights! Only blue and red are illegal.

When you said I give them to the kids you can kind of see the tone change on their face. lololol

We get classic Police cars at car shows all the time. Some towns still keep them for shows and parades. They still have the lights. That Crown Vic probably didn't look official to the police. It is not associated with any real department.
The old NYPD cars are examples of a real department vehicle.
