Whats the difference between the m3 and the older model 2e? What are the improvements?

iReal M3 has a new infrared parallel laser mode compared with 2E, which means it can scan small objects larger than 5cm and those parts with dark, shiny, and reflective surfaces.
iReal 2E, only having infrared structured light, is designed for the human body and medium large-sized objects (starting from 30cm).

just curious, can it scan mirror? like a disco ball?
It's hard to scan transparent and shiny objects because of the technical principles of 3D scanners. Treating the surface like using the scanning spray powder is necessary.
