So there's no gates or there hasn't been in the past years. I like about a quarter mile south of the pier which is pretty much show center. If you have a bike park blocks away where it's free and ride your bike to get around, I fortunately live close enough I ride my bike there and just bring plenty of water. It's always a good time at the air show in Huntington Beach.

Save your money. Anywhere within and out to 500 yards either side of the pier is ideal.
