Hello, To answer the question in the video, yes it can hit the speed of sound, no it is not allowed to over populated areas, so no, you will not hear a sonic boom. If you have heard that in the past 40 years, it was either a) not a sonic boom or b) an accidental and illegal one. Also, the doors on the bottom that opened were not the bomb bay, but the internal weapons bay. To maintain stealth (and aerodynamics), the F-22 carries all of its weapons internally, and only opens the doors when firing. Nice video!

Not Military, although the Military refrains from doing it except under EXTREAM instanceas and not at low alttitude. You seam to forget the Space Shuttle routinely broke the sound barrier over Texas, Louisiana and Florida on its return to KSC. People in rual and populated areas heard it all the time.

This plane is pure craziness with wings attached. @9:31 that "cone" of condensation is the plane right on the ragged edge of breaking the speed of sound. There was one of these winged monsters at an airshow I went to and the pilot came down the runway at crazy low at very high angle of attack speeds then proceded to pull the nose vertical and HOVERED the damned thing there for 15 - 20 seconds then hit the burners and just vanished. It went from not moving to are you serious speed in seconds. The Blue Angels should never be a let down. lol. P.S. trash can the f-35 and just make these monsters. @georgetincher7859 Do we really need more than 187 of the bundles of pure craziness? lol.

I get the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality but, it's a strange thing all the same.

Ucraina cere F18 Hornet și nu au portavioane dar pot ateriza pe autostrăzi. Cred că Ucraina trebuie ajutată mult mai rapid și mai mult.

All fighter jets can do a sonic boom but they won’t do them at air shows due to the potential for structure damage on the ground.

Very impressive. I want to know how he could be in afterburner for 2/3 of that show and not accelerate out of sight.
He just uses it when in low speed to accelerate, but once in stable speed he goes back to normal
