- Elliot Infiltrates Steel Mountain successfully but the next step is getting rid of Bill. This is why Elliot and his team did some prep beforehand to exploit what they want out of Bill.

With the help of fsociety, Elliot infiltrates Steel Mountain through the use of what he calls "human exploits". He coincidentally meets Tyrell and uses his ego to gain access to the restricted area where he needs to connect his Raspberry Pi loaded with the program to override the climate control system and destroy E Corp's tape back-ups. Tyrell reveals he knows that Elliot framed the CTO, but will not turn him in. The Dark Army refuses to attack the back-up facility in China, which puts fsociety's plan in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Tyrell and Joanna have dinner with the CTO candidate Scott and his wife Sharon in an attempt to find their weaknesses. Tyrell sexually approaches Sharon in the bathroom. Angela leaves Ollie after telling him she infected Allsafe with the hacker's CD, and moves in with her father. She discovers that he is deeply in debt from her mother's old medical bills. Elliot finds Shayla's phone on the floor. Fernando Vera calls him on it from prison, with the suggestion that he has organized Shayla's abduction. He blames Elliot for turning him in to the police.

This scene made it hard for me to continue watching when I was initially going through this series. My imagination goes to places I don't like about what happened to him next. You can quote 'sticks and stones may break my bones' all the live long day, but in the right (or wrong) hands words are the most devastating weapon ever created.

its cool how he is hearing voices through the earset when its just in his head, it allows him to think under the immense pressure almost like its curing him from the anxiety, allowing him to think better than the average person.

Tyrell saying "I though I saw you" is suuch a nice detail since you can see is back at 7:00 crossing path with Eliott
My heart breaks for Bill. You can see his hand shaking as his hand as he holds up the radio.
What makes this hurt even more, were led to believe that for this scene, he is being emotionally shattered but someone at least half his age. Poor guy.

I felt for Bill so much, it was very painful to watch. Makes us realise how dangerous words could be and that we should mind how we speak to people, this is why it it's important to treat everyone with respect.

Considering the nature of Mr. Robot, you realize everyone on the line had no idea Elliot was being pressured, or his logic for “hacking” this man, they just heard Elliot going off completely unprompted.
What’s crazy is there’s people out there that normally act how Elliot did to Bill. :(
Everybody out here feeling bad for Bill whereas I just get nostalgic flashbacks to my schooldays seeing Elliot rip into him like that because that's exactly how our teachers treated us most of the time. Even just a few years ago, I remember I failed to answer one of our teacher's question and he literally said that I am worth nothing, I am a failure and I wouldn't even probably be hired as a janitor in the future.

I like to think that Bill turned his life around after meeting Elliot here. Met someone, fell in love, got out of his job and started doing something he really cared about. He lived the rest of his life a happy man and looked back at all he did with fondness. The end.

I actually think Bill liked his job, he seemed genuinely enthusiastic to talk about the indoor roads and fire trucks, so he doesn't even need to leave to find his passion.
He never hurt nobody he was just doing his job, doing it well, and was happy to. That's more than most people can say about anything their own lives let alone work. Stay real, Bill.

The way I’d like to interpret this scene is Elliot may be talking to Bill here, but he’s also talking down to himself, belittling himself for how worthless, how afraid, and how exposed he is. There’s a similar conversation where he’s confessing how he feels in season 3, talking to an E Corp employee while comforting/reassuring himself. The closeups help convey that this is a one-sided exchange. The way I see it, the reason why Elliot keeps repeating Bill’s name is he needs that anchor. If he doesn’t, there’s nothing stopping him from breaking down himself. He’s this 🤏 close to crying. That’s why his attempt to apologize was so immediate. Elliot hates exploiting, but he knows he has to get it done for the mission.

I had to stop this show mid episode after this… I went to go hug my cat who ignored
me. I was literally sobbing after this scene. I hated it but it was so good. I haven’t cried that hard over a fictional character maybe ever. I can usually detach myself from art like this and just passively observe and feel nothing but not this time. I can see myself in Bill and it broke me. So much of Bill’s pain I could actually feel. Brilliant in that it seems such an unimportant scene and then it hits you like a train.
This is one of the first times we get to see the "monster without realising"-side of Elliot. He is brutal!

I've been watching this serie until first season and i still can't get over this scene, the disturbing way it expresses somehow about loneliness, idk but this really touched and demonstrated me how fragil i am inside just because of this moment. Not as if i am stopping to watch anything because i am too sensitive sometimes but as if it feels too much in 3:40 minutes that your heart can fall apart while feeling every single word as much as Bill felt. Goddam artwork.
It takes guts and strength of soul to admit the core vulnerabilities of oneself and you did just that. Don't underestimate your infinite potential yet untapped. You did good 😊
