The 2 types of addresses an LLC needs are registered agent’s address and a principal business address. They both serve different purposes. Registered agent's address is the address you provide to the Secretary of State when you file your LLC’s articles of formation, whereas Principal business address is considered to be the base of your operations.

Thanks for this insightful video. If I register a LLC in Delaware using a virtual address of California, will I have to pay the state tax of California.

You will need a registered agent(with their street address) in Delaware if you want to form an LLC in Delaware.

Hello! thanks for all your videos. Great source of info for many of us. But please allow one remark/question. From my status of information, your example "using a Silicon Valley address as principle business address" should be considered as "doing business in California" by the Californian tax office, what would lead to taxation and franchise costs in California. And this very likely everyone with a foreign LLC (what's everywhere outside of Cali) wants to avoid. What`s your opinion about this?

If there is actual business conducted on your principal business address (e.g, meeting clients, employees present, having a warehouse, etc), then you would be considered to be doing business in California, in most cases. If it's just for mail handling purpose, you may not considered as doing business. For specific tax advice, do reach out to StartGlobal support where we can connect with a tax attorney.

    Hi,
    I am non-resident of US.
If I form an LLC in Wyoming.
I will provide Web Development Services to the clients in US as well as other countries in the world.
I am physically providing the services from my home in Pakistan
    BUT
In the LLC formation documents, I wrote the Principal Office Address and Mailing Address which is located in Wyoming.
My question is, in this scenario do I have to pay any taxes in US because my Principal Address is in US? Like income taxes, Corporate taxes or any other taxes except the Annual report in the State of Wyoming?

It might take time for federal government to reach out to you if your given address is outside-US.

We use our in-house mailing system. We charge $599 for the all-in-one formation package including LLC filing, bank account, debit card shipped to you, Registered agent, mailing address, phone number, EIN and 1st year state franchise taxes. Pretty much everything needed for formation.

My question is I want to ask you about the shipping and billing address I have selected my residential address "DUBAI" in both shipping and billing I mean it is outside the USA So the point of asking is that if I have selected my address outside US I may face some difficulties. I'm afraid I can't open my LLC Business Bank account without a virtual address and I can't get post mail. Or none of these problems may arise, only taxes will increase If there is any of these problem then you explain me and yes if there is any chance of change of address then also tell me please. I am new here kindly guide me.
    your obediently

For Dubai-residents, if you want to open a business bank account in the US, the easiest way is to form a US LLC. After you form an LLC, you can get a real street address on your company's name. With the new US LLC, you can open business bank accounts with Mercury, RelayFi or even Brex. StartGlobal has an all-in-one LLC formation plan where we help non-US residents to form an LLC, get US business bank account, US address, US phone, US registered agent and 1st year state franchise tax. All for a $599 one-time fee. Basically everything a new LLC needs. We also help you with US taxes and bookkeeping when you need it. More details - startglobal.co/
