Crazy cat lady here, also a vet by profession. You definitely should get an ultrasound done, sounds like you're seeing a specialist which is excellent. It could be anything from nothing to something that's treatable & curable or it might not. Try not to stress or get upset over "what if's", write down any questions you might have & always remember how magical cats are-they have a purr that vibrates at a frequency that promotes healing...at 6 weeks old my cat Ollie was diagnosed with a large hole in his heart, nothing could be done, no treatment, not expected to live very long... when he started to get his sexy vibe on I took him back in for medical intervention, the clever boy had fixed his own heart... apparently it can happen. Magical they are. Wishing for a positive outcome & a glorious life for your sweet girl.
OK, DON'T panic because my cat has a heart murmur too. She had an echocardiogram and it was determined that the particular kind of heart murmur is BENIGN in cats. Also, she was 12 when it was first diagnosed. This is how her Vet documented it on her chart: Heart murmur (Dynamic right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (benign finding in cats)) I hope this eases your mind. You two are such good cat parents. I love your videos and try not to miss any of them! ♥💙💓💜
I can't remember how it started for mine. I'm sure I have the records. I thought she was okay but some things the vet missed. I told her she vomits a lot, I thought it was mostly anxiety stress, she's usually a little anxious. And she became very immobile{resting/sleeping a lot.) She's older so I didn't think that much of it... But after she had a scary incident, is now on medication and she's running around again and vomits less often, like way less often... It's worth it to monitor. I love her being interested in my activities again and attempting to murder the back of the couch occasionally. I feel so bad I didn't know. 😓
Amen. I totally agree. This Mama & daddy are awesome parents. They don't get better than this. I love this Couple & there Son & 4 beautiful fur babies. I wish I lived near them. I would love to meet them all in person. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Blessings for Skye. She’s a beautiful soul. Hopefully, they caught whatever the problem is. Btw, you are brave!! (Taking all to the vet at the same time.)
Thinking of you. I know it sounds scary, but she’ll be just fine. My cat was diagnosed with a heart murmur about two years ago. She is now 18, her lungs are still clear, and she is doing well.
I've had two cats who have had heart murmurs discovered when they were kittens. They both lived to be 18. They were very active and lived happy lives. The murmurs never interfered with their activities.
Hope it's not something serious. That sweet darling Skye is the pack leader, she's made it so far and she still has many, many years to 'terrorize' Chasey and Kai. She'll be fine. In Syaa Allah. Be strong, girl. ❤

Got one cat that had a murmur diagnosed at four years old and told he wouldn’t reach 10. He was 5 when I got him and he lived to age 14. He was a sedate cuddle bug that spent most of his time with my mother as I was her caregiver. Probably the best home he could have gone to.

We were shocked and got really worried, but actually she lived TEN MORE YEARS with this condition 😊 So most probably there's nothing to worry about. Obviously, you should keep an eye on Skye but don't let it make you stressed. Wishing you all the bests!
I'm so sorry for the loss of Lulu. I bet she's had a fantastic life with her beautiful human Mam. Lots of love to you and sending love above to Lulu ❤❤❤❤❤❤xxxxx
19 years of joy with mom is a LONG life for miss Lulu! You must have taken excellent care of her! I hope she gets to come put her angel paws on you when you have bad days, and you know that she'll be waiting to meet you at that rainbow bridge when the day comes to see her and all the others you miss again!
My baby had a heart murmur for years. They prescribed him a pill he took daily and he was just fine he ran and played like a puppy all the way until he passed in May. We were blessed to have him for 17years and 3 months. Just love and care for them like you do. You are doing a great job.❤🙏
All the best! My princess was also diagnosed with heart problems when she was 9 years old. She is now 16 and active like a young cat. A change in diet helped. And - yes, unfortunately also medication, but only for 2 years.

I have 6 seniors...2 have heart murmurs & live normal lives. Ok, pretty normal, 1 of them also has feline dementia, she just forgets where & who she is. 😸
Feline dementia can be rough. My soul kitty ho passed at 19yo in 2018 had it. She never forgot where the litter boxes were but she would forget how/where(?) she was going afterwards? If I yelled her name, if/when I could hear her meowing in the basement, she would come running up the stairs to the kitchen. Her last 2yrs she had diabetes then came liver cancer & I just couldn’t put her through anything else. 🌈🐈💜
I've had several cats with heart murmur over the year and didn't seem to affect their quality or length of life in the slightest. With cats you have to take each day as it comes. Never know what a visit to the vet will turn up.
My Sasha had a heart murmur for years. I couldn’t afford seeing a feline cardiologist. But Sasha lived a long life, even with other conditions (thyroid and diarrhea). Prayers for everyone! ♥️ 🐾 ♥️
That's really good that the vet was able to catch the heart murmur! For me this is hopeful. Now you can provide her preventative care. My cat, Smokie, passed away at only 7 years old from Congestive Heart Failure. Not a single vet was able to catch her heart murmur until she endured a saddle thrombosis, at which point the prognosis is extremely poor. It was so painful for Smokie, and for me to watch her suffer broke my heart 100 times. The hospital pressure me to put her down to end her suffering so I did, but the moment will forever haunt me. Sending prayers for Skye, may she live a long long happy life with you and enjoy all the love you and your family shower her with for many more years. ❤
I feel for what you went through we had to do the same thing and going to the vet the last day I still get haunted by and yet there was no other option as our cat had a stroke and couldn't move.😢
Those kitties are so beautiful 😍 I’ve been watching your videos for ages and I’ve learned a lot about being a cat momma from you. You’re such a wonderful mom and your videos are made with an endless amount of love for those beauties! I hope Skye will be alright. Sending lots of love and healing vibes.
I recently had to put my Monkey cat to rest. What I learned from the horrible experience it was, was to exhaust every option, turn over every stone, nag your vet to explore anything it might be. Monkey had cancer and had I insisted on xrays and ultrasounds in all his regular visits, I feel we would have been able to catch it early. Unfortunately, I relied on blood tests and a heart test, which all turned out fine. Monkey's legacy to any human with a fur baby, if you suspect anything, if they change their behavior in any way, get to the vet, and MAKE them do every test and then some. Had I done that, maybe my little love would be with me now. I am lost without my Monkey.
@@downtownbun Please don't blame yourself, you did all you could have done, trust me, your fur baby knew you loved her/ or him, it was time to cross over.😢😊🕊️🕊️😺😺🦋🦋🦋
Sending you healing purrs and prayers. You did everything you could that you knew about. There's nothing he would be mad at you about with all of this. In the future, or if you have any other cats, you can always join cat health groups on faceb ook. I've done that and learned a ton about cat health. These are people with a wealth of knowledge. Even some places on Reddit have good advice. As for your dear Monkey, my heart breaks for you! Monkey was a nickname I gave to my Moochie. I lost him in 2017 to kidney disease when his kidneys crashed one day. It was horrible. Luckily I had been using an animal communicator for a few years prior to this. She was able to contact him after he died. I know it might sound stupid, but I didn't know if I should have him cremated or buried. My communicator said he wanted to be cremated so I'd always have him with me. I wasn't sure until I got confirmation that still makes me smile. Basically I'd heard a song (we be burnin) playing in my mind as I read the session report. Yeah not exactly confirmation, right? I'd been driving later that day with my mom and while I discussed the session with her a song came on the radio. We be burnin. I had him cremated and he's with me to this day on a shelf of remembrance.
My cat missy had a heart murmur. Just something to keep a check on. Better to find out now than when she is sick. Missy had a very long and happy life with out heart complications!!!!
Sweet babies❤❤ I love the top paw car seat carrier. My kitten loves to check out all the sights when she’s in the car and this would be perfect. Sending you peace and health for Sky.
I wish the best for Sky. When cats get older they can have problems with their thyroid. One of our cats has a heart murmur and once a year she gets an ultrasound of her heart. She’s also on medication for it.
BIG prayers going up in Mississippi for Sky and all those who love her!!! I pray for God to give the Vet and Cardio Vet all the knowledge and wisdom they need to handle any and all issues with your fur baby. Sending love and hugs y'alls way too.💙💚💜
I struggle with my own proBNP. A high number could indicate that Skye has congested heart failure, but in my own fight, the BNP number can fluctuate within days of each other. Perhaps ask for another check of her BNP before agreeing to any procedures. Curious as to what her number is and what is the scale that they use for felines. It’s good to be cautious, you’re doing the right thing!!
I guess it matters how high the BNP is, and Skye would need an echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) to see if there is any significant congestive heart failure. Hope you're getting good care as well.
You guys are such great parents to your son to your cats because you’re so loving. You should really consider being foster parents. You’d be great at it. I hope everything goes well with your cat.
That's cuz they keep vaaaxing them. People are digging clueless. My cats lives 18 years and we're never vaxxxxed. Same with kids. Where do u think ADHD and all the mental issues with children came from. Pumping them up with poisons.
Keeping princes Skye in my prayers. My Yogi has had a small heart murmur for the last several years, and he is still alive and kicking. But yes, our fur babies are just like our kids and we do worry about them when we receive news from their vet. My other cat, snuffy, is deemed terminally ill, and I recently put him on palliative care. Kai reminds me so much of a toddler, especially when he was yowling while getting his vaccine.
We LOVE all of your kitties very much! I wil pray for Skye. They mean so much to us ALL! Thank you for sharing! Thank you for showing us how you take them in the car and to the vet!!!
Awwww, your kitty 🐈 clan in meowtiful ❤! I applaud you and Mr Hooman for taking all 4 at once!! 👏 They are all so bootiful and your Scottish Fold (I think) is si cute with his/her floofy face ☺️ I just stumbled on this vid and I wish you all the best with them! Heart murmurs are common and like many have posted, live long, crazy, normal lives. I just lost my beloved bunny 🐇 4 days ago and am devastated and heartbroken. Our furkids are our family. Your kitties 😻 are adorable and you are a great kitty mommy ❤️
I love all those precious fur babies. Skye is strong, she went through so much when you first got her (injured by a car) and she pulled through with her health. She will pull through this. ❤❤
I just had a chest ultrasound on my 18yo cat done on the 30th because of high bp and a heart murmur. Her bloods didn't show anything alarming, especially not for a geriatric cat. The scan showed some thickening of the heart wall, no enlargement of the atrium or fluid on the lungs. The cardiologist said the thickening could be caused by the high blood pressure itself or by Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. We are doing a rescan in six months, if the thickening has reversed (because the bp is being helped by medication) then it's not HCM because that's not reversible. I was terrified I was gonna be told she was in heart failure, so I totally get your anxiety, I'm not sure how old Skye is but I hope whatever it is is either reversible or controllable.
Will pray for your cat. They are all so sweet and love your channel. I was wondering where you got the backpack style and regular cat carriers. These would be perfect for my four cats. I have one cat who is diabetic, but he has no heart issues. We have a great vet and that makes all the difference in the world.
It’s best that you catch things early, if it’s anything serious. I can’t imagine bringing all 4 kitties for a checkup at once. 🤞Fingers crossed that Skye will be just fine. You are all amazing! 🐾❤️🐾 Wishing you safe, happy & healthy days ahead from Upstate NY
Stay calm and know that you are doing the very best for Skye. She has all the love and care she needs. Just enjoy her and let her enjoy her life. I know that last sentence didn't need to be written as you both do an incredible job of caring for your wee fur babies. All the very best!
Thank you for sharing the news on Skye. I am going to pray for her " heart murmur " I am going to ask God to touch Skye's heart. I know 2 People in real life that have heart murmurs . And they have had them for many years. And so, far no serious troubles. They are still living normal lives. Hopefully , it can bring a little peace to you guys knowing that. Sending love & houghts & prayers for Skye from The Great Lakes Stste of Michigan..🙏❤ 😻
Hopefully nothing serious. However, if it turns out to be cardiomyopathy, there are medications that can help ameliorate symptoms, though not cure the disease. I learned my cat had heart disease the hard way - he threw a clot and went into cardiac arrest. Despite the vets telling me to end his life, I told them to dissolve the clot and save him. He was hospitalized, the clot was dissolved and, with daily medications, he lived another one and a half years. It's been 14 years and I have never regretted giving him more time.
I’m sorry to hear about sky. Poor baby. We’ll (my fam) be praying for your baby. I hope there’s good news soon. This is why going to the vet with your pet is so important! Always go even if it’s just a concern, sometimes your gut feeling is right.
I certainly hope that everything turns out okay! You never want anything to be wrong with your children, so that's scary for everyone! Lots of prayers for the babies! You both are probably the best fur baby parents that I have seen!
Best wishes for Skye and that it’s nothing serious. She’s lucky to have you two as her human mom and dad.
The vet told me the cat could be stressed out on the way to the vet , or that’s common in feline world and won’t affect her life .
Best wishes indeed!!!!!!!! Good luck sweetheart!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're such a sweet little lady!

I've had several cats with heart murmur over the year and didn't seem to affect their quality or length of life in the slightest. With cats you have to take each day as it comes. Never know what a visit to the vet will turn up.
Depends! Each case is different but yes it can go well if it doesn't evolve!
@@chrystalthornton1502 You are right. My 18 year old with a heart murmur for the past couple of years is doing just fine.
Good news!
I'm not a cat 😸, but I've got a heart murmur, and it doesn't affect my health or way of life at all. I doubt it's any different for kitties.
I hope Skye is gonna be ok❤
(: Me too ... ❤
My cat had a heart murmer, but didnt affect her at all. Happy baby!
My Sasha had a heart murmur for years. I couldn’t afford seeing a feline cardiologist. But Sasha lived a long life, even with other conditions (thyroid and diarrhea). Prayers for everyone! ♥️ 🐾 ♥️
My cat too. ❤
We love you Skye ! To her hooomans she will be fine. She’s healthy otherwise so let’s be positive ! X
Ditto..we all love you Skye.
I’m so sorry for your loss
I’m sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is when we lose our sweet fur babies. ❤
You are great parents your love and dedication shows. Prayers for Skye and your family. ❤ From Massachusetts
Love you all. Sending healing energy to Skye and calming energy to Kai!
Hugs to Skye & the rest of the kitty fam. Praying she"s alright..
BIG prayers going up in Mississippi for Sky and all those who love her!!! I pray for God to give the Vet and Cardio Vet all the knowledge and wisdom they need to handle any and all issues with your fur baby. Sending love and hugs y'alls way too.💙💚💜
I have 4 older cats & 3 have heart murmurs. They are doing good. Praying for your fur babies!
All the best wishes and prayers for Skye! 🙏🏼❤
Thank you for putting seat belts on them, many pet owners don’t. Which is a shame because they’re not think about their safety.
You guys are such great parents to your son to your cats because you’re so loving. You should really consider being foster parents. You’d be great at it. I hope everything goes well with your cat.
Praying that Skye will be okay. Stay strong Skye. 🥰💞
Love watching all your cat adventures. I hope everything goes well for Skye. 🙏
Beautiful precious adorable cats! I have a female calico cat with a heart murmur. I worry about her too! You’re in my prayers! ❤🙏
The news is at 4:25 and the news is that Skye has a heart murmur and they’re seeing a feline cardiologist next month.
That's cuz they keep vaaaxing them. People are digging clueless. My cats lives 18 years and we're never vaxxxxed. Same with kids. Where do u think ADHD and all the mental issues with children came from. Pumping them up with poisons.
Exponential gratitude 🥹
I swear that your cats have more personality than most of the people that I know I'm a cat Mama too
Keeping princes Skye in my prayers.
I’ll keep your baby Skye in my prayers! ❤
Love and Protection 😍❣️ Prayers 🤲🙏 Unceasingly for ALL of your 🐈😺🐈😺 and you hoomans too.❤✨🕊️
I just had a chest ultrasound on my 18yo cat done on the 30th because of high bp and a heart murmur.
Yes she needs the follow up. Prayers for your fur baby🙏🙏🙏
I absolutely love Chase!!! He is my favorite, although I love them all.
Will pray for your cat. They are all so sweet and love your channel. I was wondering where you got the backpack style and regular cat carriers. These would be perfect for my four cats. I have one cat who is diabetic, but he has no heart issues. We have a great vet and that makes all the difference in the world.
Poor skye I am saying a prayer for her.🐱
Y’all are the best parents EVER! Best wishes for Skye. I lost two of my senior cats 3 days apart last month. That was tough.
My blessings to you and your family ❤ beautiful cats!❤
Prayers for you all and the cats. ❤
The thumb nail gets me you know Chase is always starting stuff 😂
You're both are great Cat Parents with the love you give her and the check ups she will be fine
Yes, please keep us updated... 🙏🏾 🙌🏾 ❤️
God bless you and your husband for taking four cats to the vet at once. I have trouble with just one! 🙏🏻 for Skye.
I love cats . I will.keep all yor cats in my prayers,❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful baby Skye. Perfect little girl!!!!❤
Chase is a good boy!
He’s very naughty
@@David-vg8lx what? Chase isn’t naughty lol
I’m sorry to hear about sky. Poor baby. We’ll (my fam) be praying for your baby.
I hope there’s good news soon.
This is why going to the vet with your pet is so important! Always go even if it’s just a concern, sometimes your gut feeling is right.
These cats are adorable ❤
I certainly hope that everything turns out okay! You never want anything to be wrong with your children, so that's scary for everyone! Lots of prayers for the babies! You both are probably the best fur baby parents that I have seen!
