No-name Generic T-MAX Knock-off 12V Air Compressor Review

- There is one affordable heavy-duty 12V air compressor for your 4x4 that many clubs and owners seem to recommend, and that is the T-MAX. It is not available everywhere, but since it is made in China, it is probably available under various other brand names or as a no-name product. I recently bought a no-name version here in Argentina. In this video I review it and test it pumping up all four 32" tires of my Ford Ranger. Is it any good? Let's find out.

The truck is a 2015 Ford Ranger T6 single-cab 4x4 2.2L Turbo-Diesel pickup truck bed camper, fitted with a Tronador fiberglass hardtop. Inside the hardtop there is everything to cook, and sleep 2 people.
We are a couple from France, who lived in western Canada, and is now established in Mendoza, Argentina.

I have a 2006 ford ranger rear wheel drive v6 that I live out of for most of the year due to my lower income and contract work outdoors.
My other reasons is to save money by living out of the truck so I am able to buy a house as soon as I can.
I am looking to upgrade from the current very small leer truck cap I rigged up with a bed.
I saw the camper you made with your cap the 'tronador 1200' truck cap.
I have been searching for this truck cap, or one like it as the height of it is very ideal. please if you are able too, let me know, or send me any links of where i could find one.

Tronador is only available in Argentina. This particular truck cap is from their commercial line. I don't know of a US or Canadian manufacturer that would make a similar one. If you do find one please let me know as the question keeps coming up. Cheers.

So it's not an original T max, is it generic? ..
It may be the same... the issue is whether the piston head is plastic or steel.
how it work today on 2023 after 2 years of use ?
Yes it is generic. I do not know if the pistion is plastic or steel. I have used mine many times and was entirely satisfied with the performance. I regularly inflated all 4 tires back to highway pressure in a short time. The compressor never got hot. I sold the vehicle a few months ago, along with the compressor, so I cannot comment on long term reliability, but it performed well while I owned it.
Looks like an attempt to replicate the T Max at a lower price, rather than being a totally fake copy such as the toys with metal coloured plastic parts instead of the real thing.
Yes the build quality seems quite good and the performance is good too.
