Britney Spears finally settled the outstanding legal issues in the conservatorship. Harvey Weinstein will have a retrial as early as September this year. Karen Read's first trial week is in the books and I break down the memorable moments that happened.

The Karen Reid case is hurting my brain. I’m so confused and can’t follow the lawyers. It’s like they’re talking a lot but not saying anything my brain can really hold on to. I know my brain is neuro spicy but wow!

I feel so bad for Britney Spears. I know money wouldn't erase what happened to her and figured she really didn't want to testify in a criminal proceeding. At least making a claim against the bond would be a small gesture.
As for Karen Read, it's been interesting, and I can see why the prosecution didn't want to proceed. It seems more likely, to me, that there was an accident. Whether John O'Keefe slipped and hit his head, got into a fight and injured, or got hit by a car. The evidence just doesn't seem to fit prosecution's story/theory.

I'm just interested to see if defense brings in a vehicle expert (shout out to Marisa Tomei 😆), because that taillight is like the bed frame in Depo v. Heard. It is, literally, not possible to decimate a taillight casing by hitting a human body - even _if_ she was going 60mph. The _only_ way to smash a taillight casing, the way the cop photos show, is by hitting another solid object - wall, pole, another car etc. That's not even taking into consideration the driveway camera footage from _after_ the alleged murder, showing a fully intact taillight. I'm most interested in the expert witnesses at this point.

I hope the autopsy will bring some answers. It is so far no case, imo. The story about the trooper, who searched Karen Reads phone without warrant and mostly surching for nud pictures shoked me. I heard reasently and I can not believe how the procecouter hast a case ad all!
