I think deep down Magnus knew the flesh change could never be stopped. Interesting that the Emperor had originally intended the Grey Knights to be a replacement legion for Magnus’s Thousand Sons.
I really get drawn in when there is lore from the crusade/pre- heresy , not that the heresy lacks in powerful and impactful story telling. I think it's the rarity that makes them such a delight . This top 5 was great Magnus , Mortarion, Horus etc and the loyal overall will always pull on my heart strings .
I just don't see the comparison of Magnus breaking Russ's statue over his knee quite making up for having his back broken over Russ's....its like getting revenge on John Cena by stepping on a WWE toy ps this post in no way suggests you stand on john cena, he's cool
TEchnically.. When you consider what Magnus has done.. What he has been through.. Someone that has good in him.. He could have always end up turning. For all we know. Him falling to chaos.. was planned.. An inteligent primarch like him would and could do it. And someone that was ready for his wholle space marine chapter being slaughtered when the Space Wolves Attacked Prospero... Means that he would sacrifice everything.. Even himself.. If it was for the "Greater Good". Even if it ment damning his soul forever.. But... How many powerfull psychers re there.. That can even compare to him... And how close could he get to Tzentch.. And defeat the chaos god.: or injure it in such a way that it would be incapable to do much for a very long time.. Maybe even hurt enough to lose controll over Magnus.. And his soul.. Earning him his freedom.
Fine selection. I would exchange Russ vs Magnus for Magnus freezing time and a mega-explosion to use it against the Ultimate Wall. Russ vs Magnus is more a Russ moment.
Magnus...the Primarch who did what he KNEW what was right. Unfortunately he wasn't as right as he thought. I think his biggest flaw was his arrogance and belief he was smarter than everyone around him.
@andrewbyrne2173 exactly because he KNEW he did wrong and KNEW Russ was there to punish him. But wait Russ likely wouldn't have attacked if Magnus had said i will go quietly.
Magnus saves the Civilians in the Imperial palace #1
Absolutely his best moment, brings tears to my eyes Every time.
Magnus saving the civilians while searching for the noble part of his soul, brother maybe you never lost it.
His addiction to knowledge. He’s always searching for something and it was the part of his soul that lead him to ruin.

My heart breaks for Magnus. He tried so hard, yet so much went wrong and it all ended in pain. (And his wings are beautiful)
He tried so hard and got so far. But in the end it doesn’t even matter. - Corvus Corax on the issue of Magnus the Red
Honestly the number 1 best moment for him in my opinion is his speech at nikea
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Malcador died after he sat on the golden throne.
Top 5 Goatorabo Moments when ????
Everyone knows that Dorn is the superior primarch.
Great idea for a series!
Thank you!
McNeills, Magnus and 1k Sons are like Wraight and his Scars
The Koolaid man of WH40k 😎
I, Cato Sicarius, must advise you to caution, citizen. Titles such as this can have you tried for heresy, and turned into a servitor.
Cato has no chill
Cato as humourous as his primarch
Who are you again??
Cato vs me id win 🤷
If Grey Knights can't handle the Space Wolves, I doubt a narcissistic Smurf Marine even has a chance 😂.
Have to agree with this standing
Magnus cant do what the Emperor can, namely kill those loyal to him, and Magnus is the bad guy?😢
@@madginger3634 you mean the guy that sacrificed his sorcerers/other humans to make a phonecall to the Emperor?
A phone call about how Demons and Horus were conspiring to kill the Emperor and destroy the galaxy mind you
@MiarmudVon-v5z exactly, he thought it was worth the risk.
Spoiler: it was not.

Magnus was right.
No.
Ah, Magnus... the Primarch who did nothing right.
I mean, he DID save those civilians..

@@toddolson4614 In the end his failure was being too much like his father.
