@Modustollens1 what? Lorgar never betrayed Argel Tal not once...and Lorgar is not weak at all how is he weak that makes no sense cause he lost a fight to Corax? he got alot stronger after that battle Argel Tal loved Lorgar and believed in his vision the only man to betray Argel Tal was Herebus Lorgar warned Tal that Herebus was gonna make him an offer and that he needs to refuse what he's offering and then let kharn know so that he would get Revenge.
I find it (usually) pretty hard to feel bad for a chaos character, but damnnnnnnn ... bringing grim and dark to a new level. Poor bastard. As always, you smashed it man.
Lorgar and his sons loved the Emperor more than any other legion, and that love was rewarded with mockery from their brother legions and chastisement by the Emperor. Then the Chaos Gods twisted that need for love and piety into something horrid. The Word Bearers are truly tragic figures.
@@bentim7732 Don’t worry…Corax will make him repent for his crimes. I’m so dying to see the next confrontation after Corax beat the absolute tar out of Lorgar almost to death in the warp.
The horror!!! Man, this is a great listen!! The entire process of how his mind finally came around to its understanding of his interment!! Such crazy stuff!! I wanted to cheer for him as he was loosened and running away!! But, alas, the end came for him at last.. So good!!
There was a story (I forget which), that had a Chaos Legion assaulting a planet, and they had a bounded Tyranid bio ship to carry their Titans to the planet surface. That would be a cool story.
Kinda felt that the ending would be that poor chap being entombed in the dreadnought all along. Perhaps torment was the friends we made along the way? Also: when one of cultist he was in room with statue said: "Bless us, great one" I was like - OMG HE SAID THE LINE!

last story you narrated about this dreadnought stuff was that space marines who was supposed to infiltrate red corsairs and got outsmarted by Huron blackheart and placed inside a dreadnought as punishment, now this is a taste of what comes next, a few centuries later or something, both of these stories were grim as hell, and yet, we enjoy the coffee although its hot and bitter, grim is good... grim dark is even better... LOL...
After Dark Creed I had wondered what next? I wanted to see where the characters went next. This is a horrifying ending for Burias, I cannot wait to see if Marduk and Kol Badar end their rivalry
Your channel has become my #1 go-to to listen to while inking my graphic novel. Thank you so much from this starving artist. Truly, excellent readings that keep me going on the tough days.
I don't know if you read these but I just want to let you know that I love your dubs. They've been helping me get through a really rough time in my life and I can't thank you enough keep up the great work and may the emperor's light shine on you always.
i don't think they are evil at all what is evil? it's such a human term cause if you follow chaos who in this universe are the only true god's then you commit acts to satisfy the gods, how are normal space marines less "evil"? they also commit atrocities and Genocide cultures just cause they believe in the emperor doesn't make them good or better.
@@jessejamesroy0069 The same atrocities? That's patently absurd. There are many fates worse than death, and Chaos deals in all of them.

A very tragic tale, I'd love if it turns out to be relevant that woman he saw toward the end, great read, and the author wrote a painful haunting short story... good but tragically sad
Fantastic stuff - very much appreciated! The Here's hoping Black Library proceed to create audiobook versions of the Word Bearers (and Iron Warriors) novels now they've done the Night Lords trilogy. Such a pity that GW has done nothing with the possessed dreadnought idea beyond one 30K model for (of course) the Word Bearers. Besides interring an existing possessee in a dreadnought sarcophagus, it could also be done by wiring some unfortunate into the machine and *then* subjecting them to the ritual of possession. Hmm - perhaps the latter is actually a standard technique for creating daemon engines? It's not at all clear what's inside the (ritually sealed and chained) turret of a Defiler, for example...
They use lots of Persian terms and mythological names in WH40K! "Barzakh" in Persian means limbo. Also Ahriman is a mythical equivalent to devil in ancient Persian religions.

Going by the title of the video, i expected one hour, ten minutes and 19 seconds of torment for my ears. So you can surely understand my utter disapointment! The book is pretty good though
Great A Border Prince. Hear this humble servant of chaos, Please can you read The Tyrant's Champion for tje next chaos story you read? Greetings from Argentina and keep the good work.
Im 100 percent serious here. Would it be possible to hear a story with Sly Marbo using your beat Stallone impersonation. This guy is as mysterious as the loss Primarcs. I’ve never heard of a story about him. If anyone can pull off an audiobook about him it’s you!
I really had to smile when this title was presented to me by the algorithms. The title can be so misleading ("Why would anyone want to listen to an audio torment?") 😁😉
Great vid ABP! My opinion here may not be agreed with (the emperor protects) but I really wish the Black Library would make more books on the Death Guard. *the Inquisitors will come for me*
Brothers I have several questions of a technical nature to those knowledgeable with Demons in 40k. Within the lore and the rules of the 40k universe could a demon be exorcised from a Astartes? If so would the physical alterations (claws ,fangs horns etc) recede? If not could they be surgically removed to make this Corrupted Marine resemble something human once again? Many thanks
I'm going to have too check your other Dreadnaught story out, that was pretty Grim. Why did they imprison him in the Dreadnaught though? I must have missed it or was there no reason? They just fancied a bit of torture?
It's torture to normal space marines, the utter disconnect from all sensation. Worse for the chaos boys since they are deep in the sensations addictions.
That whole book series is what got me through my first deployment back in 2006 and got me into warhammer 40k love that whole series.
Oh yeah man! Warhammer can inspire when your sucking. That's badass man. I'm glad you got through it battle brother
Holy shit man I was also on deployment when I discovered wawhammer 40k. Fellow doc lent me his Horus Rising novel and there was no going back lol!
It makes you wonder how well trained the guard actually are.
The first book was darker than any 40k horror story I have read so far.
Certainly is going to be a good companion when I ship out
Fantastical heresy. I have never met a word bearer I liked, but man their stories are quintessential grim darkness. Awesome job sir.
