Damn everyone got one of those cute little hearts but you. Bet that kinda hurts. Try quoting an inquisitor or insulting the other commentors devotion to the Golden Throne.
I was quite sure when they were digging it up that the dreadnought would be a World Eater left over from Angron's invasion of Armageddon. That would have been a fun story, albeit a shorter one.
Could it be that the 2nd war they are talking about is the 2nd ork war, which would be the 3rd war for Armageddon. The first war is suppose to be a hidden war, made classified info by the inquisition. Also the 2nd ork war is still ongoing I believe, though I am not sure how long it has been since it has started and the current timeline
@@ABorderPrince I see. When you say it like that I can see the inconsistencies that the story has, but it was an okay story, if you can handle the writing and lore issue as you said
The 2nd war was 57 years before the 3rd, not 50. So it is plausible the Crimson Fists fought on the world in a clean up operation against significant lingering forces 7 years after the initial invasion.
For start great narrating, just found your channel and I can already tell I'm gonna spend alot of time here. I especially like how you try to give each character their own voice and accsents, reminds me of Tobey Longworth's work with Dan abnett's stories on audible. Second as for the story I thought I personally thought it was fantastic. Seeing dreadnoughts in leading roles isn't really all that common, the action was great, and it was pretty lore accurate. Not to mention cybroks don't get enough attention and the red scars are a neat warband. All that said though it's not without its problems, in a story that's only an hour and twenty minutes I feel like I heard them say "for the emperor and the primarch" like 500 times, they allude to the tensions between the black Templars and crimson fist but never really fully explain it so you kind of have to have knowledge of both chapters going in. Also in the end your telling me they use an ork tellyporta to escape? I could understand if it was like a claw or a bike, we've seen that, but a tellyporta? Ork technology only really works because THEY BELIEVE it works, it dosent abide by logic and reason yet the tech marine seems to have no problem understanding and operating this literal skyscraper of garbage. On that note how did they manage to use this same device to teleport a torpedo to the planets surface will simultaneously drawing back a walking tank to onto their ship? Although petty complaints about the lore of sci-fi fantasy settings aside, it was still a fun little story and I enjoyed it alot, I just wish it had a sequel to actually conclude brother jarolds mission but from what I've found online it looks like it was never expended on past this short. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what other works you've done.
Even though it's bolter porn your reading has made it enjoyable bolter porn. Now I can take my nap before I get ready for my night shift. Emperor protects remembrancer.
33:20 Cinched... is pronounced Sin-ched not Kin-ched . Other example words with an invisible S are Cymbals and Cyclone. Other than that a good reading and not your fault as the word cinched is seldom used today outside of the horse riding community.
Hey prince! Exceptional to hear another skillful narration from you. Do keep up the work! Also, you have a typo in your description -- pretty sure Brave is a browser, not a "brower."
the way they describe a multi melta should like the coolest beam weapon in the game yet its just 1 shot not killing a bunch of orks in game just in story
Legions rarely interact with eachother, dreadnoughts are few and far in-between. To have 2 different dreadnoughts from different chapters interact must be a 1 in a million event
@@ABorderPrince there is a soul destroying lack of black Templar focused content. Love the videos by the way. You’ve become my go too RUclips guy for 40k stuffs. I also love the northern accent coming out when your doing your best to enforce a more neutral accent.
For Ansgar! For Solemnus! No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear! After II War and before III Thraka and his best or worst buddy Nazdreg raided Piscina IV. Ghazghkull lured Yarrick and imperial forces on Golgotha, Da Beast was busy...
I’m not completely up on Templar lore, but my understanding is they are one of the very few chapters that believe The Emperor is the god of mankind, correct? Not believing in the Imperial Truth. So this is my nerdy nit picky question. Do ALL of Dorn’s successor chapters believe in this, or is that just a Templar thing?
just the templars of the main ones, some others may do but yeah its the templars thing. sigismund became a believer in the heresy and took wiht him those others who believed and founded the black templars and continuing the crusade forever
Cool story, but I agree there are a number of problems lore wise. One that leapt out to me as an Ork player is how they manage to quickly figure out not only the Ork Tellyporta works but even manage to use it! This doesn't work with the current lore as Ork tech is not only considered a great mystery to the Imperium but it ONLY WORKS FOR ORKS. Ork tech doesn't operate through traditional means and requires WAAGH!!! energy to work.
just a quick question what was the name of that book for the black library about belisarius Cole I'm trying to look it up on audiobook to get it and I can't find it thank you for your help.
"Which he held in his hands as reverentially as he might a newborn" not the best comparison to use in a story set in a universe where the reaction to a newborn baby could well be "We have too many of those already, throw it into biomatter reclamation to feed the hive workers".
I read this one last year and yeh, I had the same issues with how it was written. nearly to the point of getting a red pen out. it's an alright story though.
Most funny dialog is when Techmarine says: There is 50% chance of isotop anomaly, 27% chance of other anomaly. And the other marine asks, what about other 23%? And he says there is a small chance of .... 😂😂 Thats just bad writting. We know what is the chance, its 23%, why would he list all other posibilities in percentages and than switch to words, and 23% is not that small. This whole exchange is just wierd, it makes it look like the Techmarine is trying to hide something but its never referenced again. I think the author was trying to raise the stakes with ''its small chance'' but it felt rly forced after that procentage sentence.
You r great, give me the respite I need at night when the kid and lady are down. The black library has the best writers on the planet.
I love all the newer stuff but damn there's nothing more satisfying than some classic Space Marine on Ork action
defo agreed
I love tales about Dreadnoughts, and this one was excellent.

Gerald the Dreadnought lol.
It's just not what I was expecting...
"I have dug my grave in this place!"
Your a legendary reader. Thankyou so much for bringing these stories to life.
Lmao the dreadnoughts are like that kid in a Christmas story telling the other kids to wait up
I was quite sure when they were digging it up that the dreadnought would be a World Eater left over from Angron's invasion of Armageddon. That would have been a fun story, albeit a shorter one.

lmao imagine getting word of a long lost ancient, only to later find out he dead dead
As very new to the lore, your channel is just brilliant.

Rare yes
3rd War for Armageddon was a big enough engagement that it happened a lot. The Battle for Gate IX involved 17 dreadnoughts from different chapters.
