    Both condensers live on a plastic elevated tray which comes out easily if you take the whole thing apart including drum.
    Under that tray is pure dirt, loads of it, designed to obstruct your pump which is accessible from the back.
    Sensor also gets full of dirt and causes self cleaning and pump to die as it will be overactive

      It's great how easy they made it to clean 🙄. If only it was common knowledge that dryers produce fluff 🤣

    These had a flush cycle where it flushes entire water container (you fill it with warm water) but it's some weird combo of buttons I could never figure out myself. Service dude won't tell either, top secret!
    The new series 8 seem to have a maintenance cleaning cycle that does exactly this and is accessible within the settings menu.
    Still wish there was a fluff pre-filter on top of auto-flush, something like Miele has on their dryers that you can clean/replace but theirs don't flush.

      I've tried that and it does get a little bit out but on mine not the baked on fluff or the dog fur.
      @jmolsson85 left the button combo in the comments, do steps 1-4 fairly quickly it's a bit hit and miss but keep trying and you will get there.
      1. Turn the dryer on
      2. Move the program selector to Allergy+
      3. Press and hold the temperature target button (bottom row, second one from the left)
      4. While holding button, move program selector clockwise to the next program and release the button.
      Dryer should now say P:01 for the first test program.
      5, Moving the program selector clockwise to P:07 and pressing the start button performs a condensor clean cycle of running the pump and then dumping the water from the water tray into the condensor.
      I put some warm water into the tray before running it. Pausing after step 1 and restaring was a good way of gradually emptying the condensor area after spraying water into it.

    I was able to run the pump on my Bosch WTWH7589SN by first getting it into diagnostics mode like so:
    1. Turn the dryer on
    2. Move the program selector to Allergy+
    3. Press and hold the temperature target button (bottom row, second one from the left)
    4. While holding button, move program selector clockwise to the next program and release the button.
    Dryer should now say P:01 for the first test program. Hope that helps. Your video on getting access to the front of the condensor was a huge help.

      Thanks that's a great explanation and will hopefully be a good way of keeping it clean.

      @@50plusdad-uk the front of my condensor was completely plugged and rinsing it thoroughly like you showed made it tons better but I think it’s still a ways off from peak performance.
      I watched ruclips.net/video/K7TLldVklig/видео.htmlsi=lwu-B4RNIEccRRgk and I’m not keen on disassembling it like that so I’m gonna keep fiddling with spraying water into the condensor from the front before I go for a full clean of the entire thing.

      I agree, think I'd prefer to spray every now and then over pulling the machine apart.

      That sounds like a great routine cleaning that we can do frequently. It's bizarre that they don't include this as a function the user can run. Thanks for the info!
      By the way, I wonder, do you have pets too? I wonder if someone without a pet would be able to use this machine without having to go through all these troubles like us.

      I had 2 husky cross at the time of making this, sadly we lost one.
      But fur is the main problem I have, it clogs the front end.

    If you go to the back of the machine at the bottom on the right is a reservoir with the pump just follow the hoses.
    You can open it with. A flat screwdriver and get the pump out after releasing two wires.
    After that you can just tilt the machine to get all the water and dirt out or suck it out with the carpetcleaner.
    The problem with this system is that the self cleaning system cleans the condensor with the dirty water from the condensor.
    So if you don't remove it from the back it gets trown back in at the next cleaning cycle.
    We sometimes take the machine outside, take the pump out and just put a gardenhose in it for 30 minutes. That will usaly clean the basterd for few months...

    Going to give this a try ..what about a steam cleaner used from a couple of inch’s away from the fins ?

      @50plusdad-uk  5 дней назад

      You need to be able to get right into the back, the hand sprayer seemed to do the trick

    Could you use a pressure washer to flush out that dirt, having same problem and don’t want to start dismantling the back

    • @50plusdad-uk
      @50plusdad-uk  2 месяца назад

      Pressure washer might be a bit too powerful, I found the garden sprayer to be about right. It doesn't bend the fins over.👍

    Aircon cleaner selfrinsing

      @50plusdad-uk  4 месяца назад +1

      I had a lot of dog fur on the first video (where I fitted the access panel) not sure aircon cleaner foam would shift it as I had to scrap it off, the pump sprayer gets right to the back of the condenser in between the fins.

  • @Burglups
    @Burglups 2 месяца назад

    Unfortunately this does not help because its the heating element which is FULLY clogged and you could only access it with a FULL disassembly (must remove condenser, heater and pump as a whole) ! The heating element fins has less spaces.
