Don't Fear The Reaper is one of the most iconic rock songs ever done. BOC did an (IMO) much cooler alien song with a matching drama video called Come On and Take Me Away. Lots to hear from BOC
They have a few songs (and an album) that are alien-themed, including "E.T.I. (Extraterrestrial Intelligence)", on the album "Agents of Fortune". It's a very cool song!
I'm gonna suggest something I don't normally prefer...a live song. Check out Blue Oyster Cult's "Cities on Flame" on the album "Extraterrestrial Live" (the performance was at Philadelphia's Tower Theater in 1980). It ROCKS.
These guys would do small venue warm up shows under the name Soft White Underbelly…..saw them mid 80’s small club Ft Lauderdale Check out Last Days Of May….from the On Your Feet Or On Your Knees Album 🔥🤘
Wow. Deep cut for sure. Great ol' song. great for driving on long , baren drives lol. I've been on many a long, 800+ mile drive. One way:) The USA is HUGE! Sooo much to see.
a MUCH missed great song is THE REVENGE OF VERA GEMINI. Fantastic song! The whole album Agents of Fortune ! is a single play from start to finish a great listen. Fucking great ! in my book. In my top 10 albums ever !!!!!
Their musicianship is crazy ,I’m 65 it’s my fav band since 1973, back then they couldn’t find a genre to put them in.!!!

I can’t agree. Cities On Flame should only be sung by Albert Bouchard.
Astronomy.... (some enchanted evening or secret treaties) 🤘🏻

This is from the Mirrors album released in ‘79, not the 80s as you suggest.

BOC “Burnin’ For You”, and “Don’t Fear The Reaper”. You won’t regret it
