Asia was the first super group of the 1980's. They were four British artists. It was Geoff Downes of The Buggles, better known for song and video of Video Killed the Radio Star and Yes (Drama album). John Wetton of King Crimson and UK. Carl Palmer of Emerson Lake and Palmer. ELP's video were mostly concert videos. Steve Howe of Yes. He is the guitarist on the famous meme song for Yes, Roundabout.
    Albums I would check out:
John Wetton - King Crimson, Red and UK, UK (Debut Album)
Steve Howe - Yes - Close to the Edge, Relayer and Fragile
Carl Palmer - Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Trilogy, Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery
Geoff Downes - The Buggles The Age of Plastic and Geoff Downes, The Light Program

They are from England. I think my favorite part of the song is the end when the drums really take center place. Carl Palmer's great.

This song is a core memory for me, with lots of meaning. Her name was Joy. Most definitely a playlist song. I definitely enjoy your reactions to music I grew up with. Keep it up and keep exploring more music! Dire Straits Sultans of Swing Alchemy Road, Meatloaf Paradise by the Dashboard Light. So many more.

This version of Asia: John Wetton (King Crimson and Uriah Heap) lead vocals and bass; Steve Howe (Yes) guitar; Geoff Downs (Yes and The Buggles) keyboards; Cal Palmer (Emmerson Lake and Palmer) drums. I'm puling this information from Joel Whitburn's two books Top Pop Albums (2001) and Top Pop Singles (2009), based off of Billboard Magazine. All are from somewhere in the UK.

Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell are from the same album, and this was their debut album. It was a pretty big deal in the media back in the 80's, 4 musicians from other bands creating a supergroup band. They have a lot of good music, but only the first 2 albums got love from USA, but they made many albums beyond the first 2.

Fantastic song! An 80's banger. This was released in 1982. The music video was not yet a real thing even though MTV was a thing. Musicians and the record industry had not yet discovered that the music video was a money making machine. Budgets for videos were not big so video makers put anything and everything they could to make something out of nothing. Technology was being played with. So videos didn't always make sense and were a bit scattered, often times using pointless images just to make it interesting.

Nice reaction! Please react next to Invisible Touch by Genesis. It's one of their most famous songs.

Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell were off Asia's debut album. There are two more, the concert video for Sole Survivor and the one that got banned from MTV, Wildest Dreams.
Critique: The videos the songs are all chopped up. You are better off doing the albums. The worst part of the video is it completely cuts the instrumental ending.

This was their biggest hit, and back in 82, I liked it best, but since then " only time will tell" has become my favorite. Radio probably played this one too much. Radio always ruined a lot of my favorite songs. " Midnight Sun" from their next album, should be next

Considering this band was composed of some top tier legendary artists from the rock history books ...they never really struck a chord with me . I like the song...and some of their others but i have always felt that the artists in their previous lives from which they were famous such as bands Like Uriah Heap, and Emmerson Lake and Palmer. In my opinion created far more memorable and meaningful music in their earlier incarnations. But I take nothing from the accomplishments as ASIA. Though the band ASIA , never reached the heights of any of the earlier bands from which the members were comprised.
