Thank you.....finally someone doing Suicidal. Suicidal for Life one of my fave albums to this day. Everyone talks about great lyricists, and everyone forgets Mike Muir....prolly cause' they weren't exactly popular on radio. Mike was a dangerous man on the mic and otherwise. Don't Give a F^kk, No F^kkin Problem, No Bullsh^t, F^kked Up Just Right.....whole album is fire asf if you feel violent and need a healthy release. Listening to a lot of punk and metal as a kid at this time one of the things that struck me was that only in those genres would I see/hear people of any other ethnicity on a regular basis. Most of the other music whether it was hair metal or even grunge, with the exception of hip hop of course, it was a bunch of white guys. In bands like ST, Sepultura, Living Colour, etc I would see and hear not only people different from me, but probably more importantly, the differences in their struggles and the strength to overcome them. Suicidal Tendencies were always a great band to go to when life is running you down and feeling apart from others.

I'm sure it's been said here before but if you liked the guitar, learn who Rocky George is and find his work. You won't be disapointed.
I was lucky enough to see him play once with S.T., opening up for Metallica in 1994. I seriously thought more people in the biggest metropolitan area in Utah would be familiar with Suicidal. But while 30,000 came out to see Metallica, Suicidal hadn't enough white-boy, punk-rocker fan base to even muster a proper mosh pit.
During Suicidal's set, I remember me & about 200 Mexicans & other Latinos, scattered through the crowd, getting down while they played. Even the kid I cam with hadn't heard of them. You could see that the rest of the crown weren't familiar but were impressed. It was just too different from the music they bought the ticket for, to absorb it, tie their Hessian hair back long enough to lower that bandanna to the brow & get caught in a mosh.
They sure loved Metallica though. That pit was on a slope & it really sucked if you lost footing moving downhill, as the crown in the pit would accelerate your momentum to fling you out of the circle as you fell. It was also the fist time I'd seen cops tossing people back into the pit. I guess they thought they were doing what we DON'T want, as cops & security gaurds often use concerts as an excuse to really let loose on people.
I think I broke my ass-cheeks on the hard, gravel-packed dirt from that. ...lol ...good times!

Awesome! It's great seeing Brothers getting into Celtic style musics! Matter of fact, the brother that plays the bass on this album, goes by the name of, Thundercat. He is by far one of the best and most influential musicians in the metal genre. Master musicians one and all. Love your enthusiasm. Peace.
