Great info Matt, I fished Truman lake years ago during flooded conditiond and caught a nice limit off of a stop sign, maybe I should have looked for more road signs, lol. Thanks for the tips.
Spot on, after fishing salmon an steelhead all my life, fishing club an pro team tournaments I find the size rivers react the same as far as fish an current, seam lines an river bends, when they flow water really turns these spots , ,here i fish the Columbia river ,large swift structure laden with rock infested lower unit eating best smallmouth fishing around, numbers an size .we’re watching an pulling for u to keep up the great vids tight lines ,👍
Thanks Matt the lake I fish came up 2-2.5 " it's up to full pool now you think fishing some flats and lay downs on the bank would be a place these fish will pull up on? I'm in PA on a res.
Great info Matt ...we are the same situation here in central Pa. . We are currently not allowed to fish a lake as it is up 10 ft ...how do approach this type of situation after water comes back down. And it's a highland resorvoir with alot of shad and large and smallmouth...Thanks
@@brianneff7165 thanks Brian I use to live in the Weavers Falls area and was headed up there this week that passed .After talking to some friends we cancelled the trip to the resort had a lake side cottage and boat slip reserved.Maybe next year.always struggled there when I lived there you have any general advice, for next time I get up there? Is the James Creek ,or Aitch area any good?Tight lines Brian
One year when I was a kid, we were fishing Kentucky Lake after a big flood. Our best pattern was the stationary grills in flooded campgrounds, LOL

So when fishing the bank do you prefer to cast perpendicular to the shore and retrieve back to the boat or fish parallel with the shore?
Usually a 45 degree cast
45 degree cast
You're on TV right now.
Sweet!
1st tip - don't get on the water if it looks like the thumbnail unless you're REALLY familiar with that body of water.
Good tip!
