Love hearing your explanation about the additions to your Cube list. Would you ever be interested in doing a video comparing and contrasting your cube to the stock MTGO vintage cube? That would be total catnip for me.
That person who said Pest Infestation is bad is going to need to back that up lol. Because that card is a house 🏠
its really strong but at the same time it can be kinda niche so i do see some of the counterpoints
I think LSV has Pest Investigation a few slots higher than some other drafters, but it is a good card and it never wheels so if you want it, you have to draft it fairly highly. In that spot, I would have taken Containmemt Priest but I think both are justified.
The response from Luis is actually valid : before seeing it resolve for the 1st time, I never read the "up to" on the card, and didn't process you were not limited by the number of legal targets available on the battlefield. Which would make it significantly weaker.

Noice, been excited to see Duskmourn in your cube! (Valgavoth’s Onslaught at 7 mana only makes 3 5/5s, not 3 6/6s. Still pretty good tho)
Surprised LSV didn’t say “I have the Eternal Witness and the Tamiyo. No one else should even want Time Walk.”
The little I've played with Unstoppable Slasher (in non-Cube formats), I'm convinced that card is legit. It's definitely above filler tier, and probably in the top 20-40% of cards of the cube.
It plays a lot like True-Name Nemesis if TNN could profitably block and kill goyfs, survive board wipes, and kill combo players in three attacks.

43:44 could have crewed the Hovership for more certain lethal, since it'll fly past Ginger, to ensure 6 flying damage.
Since you read the comments.
Gorilla shaman “Mox monkey.” The dude still plays, and the same way swords continues to get stronger every time a more broken creature is printed, this guy continues to get better every time a broken trinket is printed. Plus, nowadays, there’s always random treasures/food/clues to kill.
Catastrophe. The white upheaval. It’s a reset button when you’re behind on board, and it’s an Armageddon when you’re ahead on board. Much much stronger than you’d think.
Greater gargadon. Unique sac effect. Nothing else like it. Creates fun and powerful interactions with a lot of different cards.
I love catastrophe in EDH. Great way to run mass land destruction for when it just straight up wins the game but without being dead in hand half the time like Armageddon
While I love our new Elder Demon Moth, and even pulled him in the textured foil, I fail to see what he adds to the cube. In terms of reanimation it doesn't immediately impact the board and it doesn't work well with sneak/other effects. Will be interested to see its impact (if any)
It just has the effect of being almost impossible to remove. So, although the other targets impact the board immediately upon hitting, The moth is just a nasty 9/9 that forces the opponent to sac three nonland permanents if they want to target it. As well as lose life if they don't want you to have the targets.
So, sure. If they want to let you have the moth it doesn't have a affect on the board state (besides being a massive 9/9 with upside) it impacts the board upon removal.
I don't think it survives the next update. It's only good with reanimates and a lot of decks incidentally build up tokens of one kind or another. Not terrible but it seems low tier as far as fatties go
Great draft! I do enjoy your version of the Cube - especially compared to the current MtGO one. The additions keep it spicy - and I appreciate that you try out very adventurous inclusions like Tar Fire as the synergy pick.
It fills my heart with sorrow to see Jacked Rabbit excluded from the cube.

IMO Sunbaked Canyon is the strongest of the painlands, since WR is the most aggressive color combination and can use a cycling land that ETBs untapped.
Piggy bank is a wild pick for cube. Idk if its on that level but love the idea of trying it out
I really appreciate that LSV tries out these interesting new picks that might not work out are worth trying. It'll be interesting seeing how many Duskmourn cards stayed in after the next iteration.
Duskmourn is a great limited set I've been loving drafting it but Im not too sure there will be many cards from it other than the lands that will remain in the cube
Haven't finished the vid yet, but seems strange to me to cut the white Horizon lands when I've always felt like being able to cash in a land for a card is great for aggro, and taking DMG from your lands matters the least for them as well

Thoughts on adding Teferi's Protection to the cube? It combos with balance and has a lot of versatile play on its own in my experience.
I also used to undervalue pest infestation until I lost a game where it was the only possible out in the cube for my opponent

I think they can't put those cards in any product (including things like Vintage Cube) other than the 40K Commander decks. Or at least I remember LSV saying something like that in the past.

I was really hoping to see mockingbird make it into your cube the cards so insane in your list and it gives blue an incredible response to an opponent doing things like turn 1 ragavan/ocelot or turn 2 ajani by doing like uno reverse t1 mockingbird make flying ragavan/ocelot
have you thought about trying up the beanstalk again with the new impending cards? there might be enough support for it now

Can someone help explain why LSV took the R/G fetch over the R/W Fetch? I thought the R/W fetch would work better in the Jeskai deck, even with the slash for Wrenn and Six.

Vintage cube is basically the only form of magic I play now. Only played against you once a long time ago and I had a degenerate trip wire and smokestack artifacts deck for my first trophy that you unfortunately got to play against lol.
I have a question about playing vintage on mtgo. I feel like I've noticed a significant skill increase across the community that seemed to coincide with you releasing consistent content. Have you noticed anything similar? Or do you think it's just normal skill increase with time?

i think that around when lsv started making videos cube started getting a lot more popular. It’s a chicken and the egg thing the more people play cube the more viewers cube content creators get the more everyone gets better and the more mtgo does cube stuff. a rising tide raises all boats

I can’t tell sometimes if the comments like “lurus is bad” or “pest infestation is not that strong” are troll comments or a real evaluation of the card.. both of those possibility’s hurt my feelings..
I love Lurrus, but I do think it leads to very fair decks and the previous version of the Cube in 64 player worlds ques were all going for 3-0 decks or bust. I think Lurrus was not a top 50 card because that Worlds Cube was poorly designed.
Pest Infestation is good but more of a control/police card that doesn't always work when you need it to. It's value can be great.
I look for both of these cards to get better in LSV's new Cube.
Hi LSV. Long time watcher, first time commenter. Just for the youtube interaction, do you play any cEDH? or any EDH for that matter? Id love to see your take on cEDH as a format, especially after the recent banlist shakeup.
I think on LR he and Marshall have said the multiplayer casual nature of EDH isn't their cup of tea. Pretty sure LSV had a Dimir control list years ago with the flashback commander that sacs permanents if it takes damage.
I'd also assume that if he wanted to jam a competitive Singleton format with powerful cards, LSV would play Vintage cube 😂
I don't think LSV is interested in multiple player formats. He has pretty much said so on podcasts like Limited Resources. It contains a political element that he is just not interested in adding to his MTG play.
Maybe advocate for Duel commander as it is a 1v1 and 20 life, has busted power level cards, but also a very well curated ban list.
There are enough EDH channels infesting RUclips, we don't need another one. Leave us at least one little piece of peace and let us watch some good Magic, please.

There's a Horror Cube coming up in the next week or so and I believe I saw October 25th for the next round of Vintage Cube Leagues.

What is the reason that the official cube can’t play warhammer cards when they can play other universes beyond cards like bowmasters and the one ring?
Daybreak Games does not have War Hammer licenses. I believe Bowmasters and Ring are in the Cube as those licenses have been acquired.
