For anyone who might ask…no, sadly the switch "game" playing at the beginning is not a real game. I animated that scene from scratch and digitally composited the finished video over the footage of the Switch. What a nightmare to make 😂 thanks for watching fam!
I'm more inclined to prefer getting small, but technical transformers. Something I can tinker with at my work desk without taking any space. These look right up my alley.
Would also check out Magic Square stuff! There's a few other companies that do it too, but they specialise in Legends scale Masterpiece style figures. So they're tiny, but can be very intricate. The engineering is leagues ahead of what Takara and Hasbro do, making incredibly cartoon accurate robots and vehicles without giving up heaps of poseability.
"What should I watch?" I think to myself, i am greeted with a notification, "Tiny Transformers" Let's fucking go. Your stuff has some incredible production value.
OH MY GOD, DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON SMALL TRANSFORMERS. I absolutely love the smallest class of Transformers, the Legends, Warriors, Core Class I don't even know why I like them so much but I just can't help it man ❤️
I ordered the Dr. Wu micromaster Optimus Prime on a whim, and now, months later, I have bought every figure in the series. They're just so cool and really fun.
I'm not the biggest transformer guy, never really dug into it. It's the cheesy humor and clear enthusiasm that keeps me coming back, great video keep it up.
Slider joints are in fact generally looked down upon by the community. They’re notorious for degrading very quickly, and Hasbro has all but eliminated them from any official transformation scheme *edit* ok guys I get it there are exceptions to the rule
The WST line of Transformers goes back further than Dr Wu, Takara actually started the line in Japan near 20 years ago. Since that time lots of companies have produced alternate versions of the officially released figures and new original molds of characters not released by Takara. Dr Wu is just the most notable and recent company to make em.
Thank you my guy! I’ve got incredibly high standards for cinematic quality here, and it means a lot to hear people like you appreciate it. Welcome to the channel man!
Ultra magnus has a very special place in my heart. As a kid i had the 20th anniversary of the 86 movie and that was my only piece of the g1 cartoon for a long time. I saw magnus' truck mode and thought maybe underneath that trailer was an Optimus prime looking body underneath that trailer but I didnt know for sure, animated didnt have the inner bot Magnus concept and he wasnt in the bay movies. Then one day i went over to a friend's house and he happened to have some g1 toys, and learning that my theory was true that day after seeing a g1 Ultra Magnus for the first time, I'll never forget that joy. I think the inner robot is too cool to not include for a g1 based ultra magnus figure. Seeing it that concept be done well at such a small scale is absolutely adorable. As nice as the commander class is, i still feel like it should've done more
great look at these! i’ve been curious about them for awhile. personally, i love the new Blokees mini model kit figures. they don’t transform and are stylized, but i like their style and they’re fun to build and mix&match. plus they’re around $7-$10 so it makes them super easy to collect
This video gives me such a blast of nostalgia. I remember being a kid obsessed with old transformers toys. I wanted to be a collector. Unfortunately, that never happened, and I don’t even have many of my original toys anymore. But even still, I’m glad to see others enjoy it
I just want to say that I really appreciate the quality of these videos, the editing and lighting are very well done. They are also very funny. I was also going to get some Dr Wu Transformers, as I love tiny transformers, and I’m happy to see them finally get some recognition. Not many people talk about them. It really annoys me that small 3rd party Beachcombers always have 3 step transformations and end up sucking. If the transformation is so simple, they could have dedicated more time on the articulation and look of both modes instead.
This stuff is great! I was definitely a G1 kid and I still have a few little things around even though I did give up my Masterpiece Prime last time I underwent a big toy slimdown. I have 4 little nontransforming figs from Dollar Tree on my desk now - Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Soundwave. Never thought I'd see a full lineup of transformers this small! I do have an older micro transforming Megatron that mimics the full scale G1, but would not hold a candle to these new ones. I dig all of these - just amazing!
Living in New York, I have limited space in my apartment, which lead me collecting mostly legend scaled figures. I almost exclusively collect Newage transformers except some combiners by Magic square. I think legend scale is by far one of the best scale to collect right now, the details they bring at such small size
Personally I need Dr Wu to start doing the lineup from Cybertron. That was my entry point to transformers and remains my favorite set of designs for a lot of these characters
A tip for tightening joints I've found is using paint on the ball joint. It's just a small thin layer. Eventually, it'll wear down depending on the paint you use, so you'll have to re apply it
I love how small these are! I definitely would love to get a few for my own home, but I think what made me stick around was the presentation! I love how honest, fun, and interesting you made it! It made me want to buy my own just to be able to do silly things like this ! You my friend have gained another follower :)
Can't wait to see them doing a mini Flipsides and Rumble to scale with the rest. I just hope they'd give us a magnify glass and some tools to even hold the guys! :D
I fondly remember being fascinated with the WST line as a kid and if i had the money back then i would have bought them all, those were the gold old days
Believe me, you are not alone on disliking slider joints. I have a Cyclonus figure from a Reveal The Shield two-pack with Hot Rod, and the calves split open from the front and back, and used hinges to go over the thighs. Whenever I see another figure use a slider joint to achieve this same result of transformation, it makes me wonder why they didn't just use the same technique as that figure instead.
You should make a stop motion where the "wide shots" are using the mini Transformers, and any time it cuts to a "close up" or "extreme close up" it switches to a masterpiece version or something that is highly detailed. I think that would be sick.
A long time ago, Takara made a worlds smallest transformers line, they were scaled down versions of the G1 figures with the same transformations. It was almost like taking Optimus prime, and shrinking him with a ray gun… Do you have any of those in your collection? if not, I highly recommend them, but they are pretty delicate.
I actually really like these. Small transformers are my favorite. They’re easy to collect and, more importantly, easy to fidget with. Desk toys are the second most common role the transformers in my collection fill. Other than looking cool. This is so cool. Thank you. Also transformers with face masks are my all time favorite and will always be. Most of the figures I collect have facemasks for a reason. Amazing video, dude. Like usual, you always show me so many cool things about this franchise I love so much.
Wow, I'd seen some of these and had thought about getting them, but passed, still I had no idea they were this good. I think these would work best as accessories for the larger titan class robots like the Ark or Metroplex.
While i’m not a transformers fan, i love tiny versions of characters, for example, i love the jurassic world mini dinosaurs and i love mini godzillas, they’re all just adorable
I'ma also one that unfortunately put off by how dr wu handle beachcomber. In ths case, i recommend looking up MPH studio beachcomber. He is still on that "micro sized" scale, albeit a bit bigger than dr wu ones, but he is a beachcomber done properly. Good vehicle mode, good robot mode, great articulation too.
For anyone who might ask…no, sadly the switch "game" playing at the beginning is not a real game. I animated that scene from scratch and digitally composited the finished video over the footage of the Switch.
What a nightmare to make 😂 thanks for watching fam!

I've recently gotten back into collecting Transformers. I greatly appreciate your honest opinions for every character.

As a filmmaker who enjoys cinematic shots and lighting, this was well done. Equally commendable is the writing and your execution. Well done! 🫡✌🏼
Tiny transformers have always been my cracklike gateway drug to transformers 😂 can’t resist tiny robot!!!
the fact that Optimus Prime was able to just fold Megatron into a gun is just hilarious. 3:37
