I will never get over the look of casual satisfaction of bringing out her banjo, and then getting into her playing face, and then probably whippingFast out this mastering. It’s so impressive and such a complex thing to share❤ you’re going places🙏
I am as happy to be here as you are that I am. You have a level of talent, honesty and down to earth that is rare these days. I wish you were my grand daughter.
Dr. Phoebe, I don't know who this old Mr. Clark is, but I am sure he is pleased with your wonderful rendition of his tune! This may be my favorite so far. If you did not get an A+++, I will be shocked. I am glad you didn't sit in poop. Congratulations on the 20,000 subscribers. I am happy to be a small part of that. Love you, Doc! God bless you! ❤❤❤❤❤
Love the old-timey stuff. I watch banjoists of all kinds on RUclips, from grizzled old Appalachian hillbillies, to foreign doctoral students studying American folk music, to you! Love it all. Congrats on 20,000 subscribers. That's a real testament to your discipline, persistence, friendly stage presence, skill, passion, and the bonus chicken content of course. Now, to make hats FLY...!!!
You are an old soul -- which is a compliment …. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore! I wanna say more about the coolness and talent …. but I’ll let others fill in the blanks … I One word “UNbeliebable!“
There's something about a piece like this, the statements and counterpoint, that makes it feel expansive, like I can see ornamentation and development going in a bunch of directions. Really neat, thank you for sharing this!
Awesome Phoebe! I love that song as my Grandfather’s name was Joe Clark! Your Rhododendrons are gorgeous! Love everything you do, kid! Keep it coming! 20,000 is a HUGE number! Congratulations!
The Bluegrass band Bobby and Sonny Osbourne that did "Rocky Mountain Tennessee" were my mother's cousins. Sonny walked in a Pawn Shop Dayton Ohio and spotted his banjo , decided to buy it ... Many years later I was a teenager and went to a Bluegrass Festival where somebody was drinking moonshine and tried to start a fight with me , Bobby stopped the show and says come set up on the stage with us and you will be safe. At that time I did not know we were related !!!🙃
I'm a lefty newbie and am really finding it difficult to find any lefty tutor/players online...😢 You are my sunshine each morning to light the banjo-sky..❤🎉
Glad you didn’t sit in it. I had a rooster once that filled my shirt with it. A mess! Congrats on 21K subs and completing your finals. Very nice rendition of OJC!
The azaleas look so pretty, my yard has the same color and with white ones. I love the aesthetics of the banjo and it's sounds amazingly clear. Well played. Have a great day and the weekend that fast approaches.
A+ on the banjo final! Enjoy your summer vacation. You could incorporate a drone with a propellor beanie, and have it fly onto and off of your head...with video feed!
Good one, Phoebe. I like the arrangement. Congratulations on getting school out of the way and now being on your way to a fun, happy, stress-free vacation.
I can't say for sure because so many folk tunes tend to sound the same, but I believe I've heard this one played on highland bagpipes. Regardless, it's great to hear you play as always! Keep up the great work.
I hope you do sometime consider learning Scruggs' 3 finger style it would be interesting and inspiring to watch your progress, I play Scruggs style for 30 years, quit for 30+ years because of hand problems but picked the banjo back up about 2 years ago. and WOW! It is tough getting it back! but I'm trying lol thanks for your videos! Always enjoy them, I only wish I could play this style!
Phoebe you're a ray of sunshine
Do us all a favor and never change.
You got that right ✅️
I've never wanted to give a daily hug to a person more than my daily banjo girl.
Group Hug eh?!
@@wadeh777 hey lets not talk about the personal details of people online and respect their privacy.
@@wadeh777whats it called?
I just wanted to say that someone brightened my day and deserved my praise for being awesome! You people made it ugly.
@wadeh777 I'm curious, what is the name of her other channel?
You never disappoint. Thanks, that was fun.
Grandpa Jones is clogging in heaven listening to this.
Excellent 👏👏
The "sour note" face is just priceless.
Yes , it looked like she was still pondering it.and whether or not to continue 🤔 😅
She's so locked into her playing, well executed ponderer.
At first it sounded just like that old barn-hall standard, "Dance Me Through the Chicken Poop, My Soul Needs New Glue Tonight"
@YouKnowTheyExist "She worked at the stables and all the horse men knew 'er."
God bless ya! Brings a bit of light to the day with each upload!
Ralph Stanley and Doc Watson approve
The mic 🎤 picked up the frequencies very well. You turn banjo strums and tones into lovely songs that are indeed medicine to the heart.

Thank God for this dose. I needed it so bad. It's like soothing ointment to my soul.
Enjoy your well earned break from school!
Legend has it she's never been seen without a hat
Getting better every time. Love the backdrop too, a beautiful time of year.
