      It only looks shiny because it was still wet from cleaning it.

    nice work Phil & Jess. Looks like it would be an ideal candidate for a glaze n sealant job, to enhance the finish with no paint correction being opted for. You always make these jobs look easy, when i had my Machine Grey CX-5, short legs meant i spent more time on my Oddjob platform to reach all the high parts....it was like a whole day of exercise! 😁 It's also the only Mazda SUV that they got the plastic wheel cladding in the right proportions.

    Phil,
    Question regarding detailing as a sustainable business to provide income for your family. I have been into detailing my own car for just about two years now. I picked it up just as the pandemic started because school stopped and I found myself bored all the time, so I started cleaning my car regularly and watching videos on RUclips to learn about detailing.
    I ended up being lucky enough to be hired as a firefighter which is my dream job. I am now searching for something on the side to do because many guys I work with have side hustles. I really do enjoy detailing, so I thought about making it into a business. Is it something that you still enjoy, do you have any regrets? Does it allow you to have a flexible schedule and a work-life balance? If you could, would you do it all over again?
    Love the videos!

      Hi! That’s awesome to hear! Oh yeah! One of the best decisions of our life. We have been in business for over 12 years now. We make good money and have made some awesome networking connections with other detailers through the years! I would have started it sooner if I could have!

    Love your videos down to earth with the wife helping out. That's family. My question, I do my own detailing on our car 12 year old Kia Optima LX in Platinum Graphite Metallic dark gray. I have both Meguiars Ultimate line from compound to liquid wax and fast finish, but I recently bought Turtle Hybrid acrylic ceramic black polish and spray wax after watching your video along with Pan and Jimbo's videos. What would happen if I strip washed my car did chemical and mechanical corrections then Ultimate Compound followed by Turtle Hybrid Ceramic Acrylic Black polish, Turtle Seal and Shine and Turtle Hybrid Ceramic
    Acrylic Black spray wax with ultimate liquid wax as a finish. Am I wrong doing this?
    My car looks 98% factory new. I clean inside weekly and maintenance wash with Meguiars Gold. I will be using Turtle Hybrid Ceramic wet wax I just bought and getting their ceramic wash and wax. I hope I'm not doing overkill 😜 I'm also subscribed to your channel. Love your passion in detailing.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Thanks man!
      It looks like you have a good process!
      I would skip the compound and see if the Black polish with a yellow or orange pad can get the cut and finish you need. If you need to use the compound to cut more that’s fine also. Skip either the seal and shine or black spray wax. No need for both of them. Just one or the other works great. That should get you he results you want in less time. 😎👍🏼

    Hey Phil! When u mentioned how much cleaner the interior is on the next one up... After tackling that mess in the Mazda it really makes one appreciate the ones that are at least semi-maintained (the Infiniti). Although the Mazda interior wasn't awful - I always think when I tackle gross interiors - what does their house look like?... On the several occasions when I've gone mobil to do disgusting interiors the house HAS looked the same! 🤣《🙄》
    Btw...that interior job came out awesome!

    Really nice! Car is only couple years old and is already severely damaged. Makes me sad. I think I seen you use Work Stuff brushes. Are they your favorite, and are they worth it? Do you ever "shoot" anything down the air vents to sanitize the system?
    Interiors are gross, not for me! I don't even like to do my own, let alone someone else's. Watching video I could feel my skin creeping. Lol. Fun video. Hi wife!!

      Thanks! Yeah we love the work stuff brushes. They last way longer than any other brushes we have used. We usually spray apc in the vents and blow them dry with the air compressor. But we don’t offer HVAC sanitizing or anything.
