I'm late to the game here purchasing a 2023 Mazda CX-5 in November and wanting to know the best way and best products to use for exterior and interior and I just now came across this video. Thank you Miranda Detailing!
nice work Phil & Jess. Looks like it would be an ideal candidate for a glaze n sealant job, to enhance the finish with no paint correction being opted for. You always make these jobs look easy, when i had my Machine Grey CX-5, short legs meant i spent more time on my Oddjob platform to reach all the high parts....it was like a whole day of exercise! 😁 It's also the only Mazda SUV that they got the plastic wheel cladding in the right proportions.
Great opening shots Also, thanks for all you do in the community with videos and such. Just used that compliance form as a framework for my own, very helpful.

After moving to the south with dark colored vehicles, and now cleaning them in the summertime is tough but we get it done! Is there a link for your chair your usually using to do the tires in the description box? Thanks for the great video
Great job on this mess. I'm curious how long it took you guys to clean this interior? I did a similar mess level interior last Tuesday. Pet hair and crud EVERYWHERE!
Phil, Question regarding detailing as a sustainable business to provide income for your family. I have been into detailing my own car for just about two years now. I picked it up just as the pandemic started because school stopped and I found myself bored all the time, so I started cleaning my car regularly and watching videos on RUclips to learn about detailing. I ended up being lucky enough to be hired as a firefighter which is my dream job. I am now searching for something on the side to do because many guys I work with have side hustles. I really do enjoy detailing, so I thought about making it into a business. Is it something that you still enjoy, do you have any regrets? Does it allow you to have a flexible schedule and a work-life balance? If you could, would you do it all over again? Love the videos!
Hi! That’s awesome to hear! Oh yeah! One of the best decisions of our life. We have been in business for over 12 years now. We make good money and have made some awesome networking connections with other detailers through the years! I would have started it sooner if I could have!
Love your videos down to earth with the wife helping out. That's family. My question, I do my own detailing on our car 12 year old Kia Optima LX in Platinum Graphite Metallic dark gray. I have both Meguiars Ultimate line from compound to liquid wax and fast finish, but I recently bought Turtle Hybrid acrylic ceramic black polish and spray wax after watching your video along with Pan and Jimbo's videos. What would happen if I strip washed my car did chemical and mechanical corrections then Ultimate Compound followed by Turtle Hybrid Ceramic Acrylic Black polish, Turtle Seal and Shine and Turtle Hybrid Ceramic Acrylic Black spray wax with ultimate liquid wax as a finish. Am I wrong doing this? My car looks 98% factory new. I clean inside weekly and maintenance wash with Meguiars Gold. I will be using Turtle Hybrid Ceramic wet wax I just bought and getting their ceramic wash and wax. I hope I'm not doing overkill 😜 I'm also subscribed to your channel. Love your passion in detailing.
Thanks man! It looks like you have a good process! I would skip the compound and see if the Black polish with a yellow or orange pad can get the cut and finish you need. If you need to use the compound to cut more that’s fine also. Skip either the seal and shine or black spray wax. No need for both of them. Just one or the other works great. That should get you he results you want in less time. 😎👍🏼
❤your work ethic.just became a subscriber. i just purchased a black truck.i would like to know how easy it is to polish.i did a foam wash and can still see water spots.
Hi. Thanks! Welcome aboard! We have tons of videos on polishing black paint. Hi Phil, what brand of gloves are you wearing when you did the interior? Fun video and I am always amazed how much you can get out of a black polishing pad. 👍🙂
Whats up Don't know how I got here...but here I am and subscribed Whats the link for the power washer hand gun you use? Also, what's that angle nozzle tool on the end of the gun you used cleaning the wheel wells?...that was cool and unique

Hey Phil! When u mentioned how much cleaner the interior is on the next one up... After tackling that mess in the Mazda it really makes one appreciate the ones that are at least semi-maintained (the Infiniti). Although the Mazda interior wasn't awful - I always think when I tackle gross interiors - what does their house look like?... On the several occasions when I've gone mobil to do disgusting interiors the house HAS looked the same! 🤣《🙄》 Btw...that interior job came out awesome!
I just got my car back from the oil changing place.and it was covered with oil on the leather door panel and stirring wheel have any suggestions on what I can use to get it off
SMH, a fairly new car, and it looks like that. My 24 year old co-worker told Me today "I can't keep My car clean no matter how hard I try" Jess&Phil, a fine job as always! I love Your videos...keep the great contet coming. LOL, 7:39 Argh!! LOL What was this worth,if I may ask? Thanks!
Really nice! Car is only couple years old and is already severely damaged. Makes me sad. I think I seen you use Work Stuff brushes. Are they your favorite, and are they worth it? Do you ever "shoot" anything down the air vents to sanitize the system? Interiors are gross, not for me! I don't even like to do my own, let alone someone else's. Watching video I could feel my skin creeping. Lol. Fun video. Hi wife!!
Thanks! Yeah we love the work stuff brushes. They last way longer than any other brushes we have used. We usually spray apc in the vents and blow them dry with the air compressor. But we don’t offer HVAC sanitizing or anything.
Washing car in drive through car wash and then bring to detailer for detail job. Makes zero sense since paint is trashed. Probably saved money just bringing to detailer in first place.
"look at how bad those scratches are ... they are REALLY bad. Are we going to polish them out ? No!" - So you're not detailers then are you? Jim White is a detailer ... you just wash cars.

hahahah classic!! I commented before seeing the whole video and just because I took the time to comment you are wearing gloves for the interior part haha
Hi. Yeah if I wear gloves for to long I get really bad contact dermatitis. I used to wear gloves all the time and my hands suffered because of it. Now I just wash my hands more often and my hands are way better for it. 😎👍🏼
Have you ever applied gtechniq crystal serum light without exo after just the one csl layer ? How does it hold up compared to the exo on top does it really matter or not ? Thanks 🙏🏻 👍
Hi. Yes in fact many of the vehicles coming back in the next few months just have one layer of CSL on them and no EXOv4. They hold up just as well. EXOv4 is just more hydrophobic, but it only lasts 2 years.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks, so I’m still a little unsure how would I differ the two when offering to customers, What do you prefer to do 1 or 2 layers ? And the sheeting or beading ? Does it just save time not doing the second layer ?Thanks 🙏🏻
My wife and I were wondering who the guy pulling the potted plant was? We laughed, sorry. The timing was perfect. Keep it up. Great work.
🤣😎👍🏼
Best detailing with the best beats
😎👍🏼
*I got same cx-5. Is it ok to wash the hinges of the car? The oily stuff*
*Quick edit: what solution are you using for the plastic to shine?* 11:54
Hi. Yes it is. Just don’t be overly aggressive trying to degrease those hinges. I only clean around them.
@@MirandaDetailing what solution are you using for the plastic to shine? 11:54
Hi. That wasn’t a dressing it was a cleaner. It was Koch Chemie Pol Star 1:10.
It only looks shiny because it was still wet from cleaning it.
