- Leaving the Philippines for the UK: There used to be a direct flight from Manila to London, so going to reconnect with my British family would have been a breeze! But not anymore, so this is the reality of how long it feels to get back to the UK. It's exhausting for sure, this is not easy to do with a child but it is one of the prices that you must pay to live abroad on a long term basis.
Also leaving my husband behind at home on Siargao island and traveling separately is a big adjustment for us as a family. But I'm happy that Story got to revisit her Phwah Phwah, and to see the excitement of travel in her eyes makes it all worth it.
It was interesting to see the different food options that they have on the Emirates flights these days. The DUBAI to LONDON route was much better than the MANILA to DUBAI route though. My dad enjoyed several Gluten Free meals and we reviewed all the Vegan plane food options too. Story loved her surprise Strawberry! (Strawberries are rare in the Philippines)

Hey all, I've noticed a lot of negative comments about Grandad's mention of the Dubai Coffee price! Just to clarify, he was being sarcastic, it was a classic British Sarcasm moment. 😅 He meant no offence and as many of you know already, he is very much a lover of the Philippines which is why he chose to move his entire life over to your country. And Let's face it, there's nothing CIVILIZED about a basic black coffee in Dubai that costs £5.95 of 425 php 😭
Try to understand or differentiate a joke of a British gentleman and a constructive criticism. Grand dad, you're ok .. from Montreal, Canada with love and respect. 🇨🇦❤
Ignore them guys, folks always find faults as you can’t please everybody. Even if your dad is not sarcastic about it, that is his opinion. You might always hear this that Filipinos are known for hospitality but the other side of it is that, we are also known for the crab mentality, that’s why Filipinos going abroad are afraid of their own kind.😅
I apologized for the sarcastic comments of others maybe they don't really understand the other way of western accent or joke ? For me as a coffee lover I compare that coffee in the Philippines is much cheaper compare to other countries. Have a great time beautiful Family ,enjoy your holiday in UK.❤

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is really wonderful. I remember when I was 12 years old, I got to travel Europe by bus - Globus Tours. Everything was new and sparkling. I am much older now and retired. My perspective from a 67 year old is deeper and hopefully more meaningful. I treasure every moment as if it were my last. At the moment I do feel like I am living my best life. I have so much appreciation for life itself. Keep on getting excited Story. In what may seem a blink of an eye you can grow old very quickly. Enjoy your exciting childhood. Sometimes I wish I could go back to being 12 years old again...so happy and carefree.

When sasha's father says (10:20) "welcome back to the civilized world" it was simply a comment about how expensive the snacks and coffee were as compared to the Philippines. He was NOT criticizing the Philippines.
We know what that means...we can speak n understand English too... and it means what it means, having just left what he thinks to b uncivilized country...we still love it here, loving d simple n uncivilized life.😅

He obviously talking about the high price of that coffee in a sarcastic way because in the Philippines by just a 3 in 1 coffee will solve the day. Is just that other Filipinos are too emotional by watching.... nah... I’m not gonna say it as it will trigger them again.😅

I flew with Emirates, and its true that the London leg of flight is way better with food and seat, the seat is roomy than the Manila flight. And I can request my meal at the time when booking and is served to you way ahead of others.

I like the way you've merged both films into one, so that we can see what you've both been up to..... The direct Manila-London flights were with Philippine Airlines, flights PR720/721 to/from Heathrow.... I have used them myself when visiting the Philippines, it once took 15 hours to get to LHR, 8 hours of which was flying over Russia!.... That's one big country......

I have a new neighbor from London who just recently moved where I live. He said it’s not safe to walk in London anymore that’s why he moved here in the 🇵🇭. I wonder if it’s true? He owns 2 houses and will sell one. So far he finds our village really peaceful. Occasionally there are dogs barking. but no roosters waking you up early in the morning 😂. No rooster allowed in the village. He’s really thinking hard if he will buy here. He’s married to a Filipina.
