- This time we're in Manila in the Philippines and we're hanging out with locals to try some classic street food and dishes.... and Jollibee of course.
Thank you to Joel, Abi, The Fat Kids Inside Studios, Ige and Cantina de Tita A for showing us around and feeding us some great food!
Make sure you check out:
Abi’s channel - / @lumpiaqueen
Next week, we'll share what we ate in Cebu!
And if you haven't checked it out already, we have officially launched the Andy Cooks website - www.andy-cooks.com/
I love that they didn't like the Spaghetti and Palabok coz that's honestly catered to a Filipino tongue. So being honest not liking it is really awesome 💯
I agree. It us not a surprising thing...honesty is appreciated
Tbh, as a Filipino, di ko talaga trip yung Filipino style spag. It's too thick for me, parang nasusuka akong na ewan. But, palabok is 👌, cam never go wromg with palabok
@@randomwatcher6758 well jolibee palabok is so wrong, mainly the noodles type is bad
@@tumblaire6345Idk... It depends on the store... Some stores do good palabok... Some... I'd rather not touch...
@@randomwatcher6758Let me guess, you don’t know how to cook. I watched the video and Andy and ‘Babe’s’ reaction are polite and you can tell it’s an honest opinion of somebody who has a well rounded palate, who is not very familiar with cooking a dish a certain way, specifically spaghetti. Only Filipino spaghetti tastes sweet. Being a Filipino and commenting nasusuka sa Jollibee spaghetti? Wow lang ha. Not liking it is one thing, but puking? Obviously you don’t know how to cook or your taste palate is so limited. The lumpia queen loves it and, although Andy and ‘Babe’ did not like it, they did not make any face at all. You’re basically a basic Mitch but worse.😢😟☹️
Babe’s got that Jihyo angry face when she eats something good lol
Once is also here😁
😄🤣
I love how honest and respectful you guys are when it comes with food.
Well andy is a chef you must respect the kitchen and the ingredients you cook with when it comes to a good chef.
I just love how down to earth Andy and Caitlin are, even their team. This humility and genuine kindness are what makes their journey successful. Wishing the success and growth for this channel in addition to Andy’s main one. You guys are amazing 🤩
Babes name is caitlin?! 😮😂
@@elizasevillano5133 What’s funny about that?!
if they dont like it , means that it's unfamiliar to them. 😁😁😁
we may have western and asian influences but we have our own original food
Filipino cuisine is unique and special 🎉🎉
We all have different flavor preferences. I like food with complex flavors. The first time I had Korean food I loved it. Same thing with Thai and Moroccan cuisines. My maternal Grandma is pinay, I love her food but I'm not a big fan of my paternal grandpa's Irish dishes. It's too bland for me but his German dishes, I definitely dig. I don't like Jollibee even when I was a kid but my siblings loved it when we were in the Philippines. So it's all preference.
Love your comment. It’s so true. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas 🇵🇭
Agree with you there.
It's a melting pit of techniques, ingredients, and flavor from different countries and cultures
I really like it when you guys are being totally honest 😊 thank you for visiting Philippines 🇵🇭 Enjoy your stay !
Imagine Chef Andy going all the way here just to find the roots of Adobo meet with local food content creators have fun creating and learning stuff- That’s handwork and dedication yall!
WHEEEE!! Andy and Team were in the Philippines
also i'm actually happier that Andy preferred the Palabok noodle dish than the Pinoy Spaghetti. the Palabok dish is one of the native Filipino dishes (much like Adobo, Sinigang, Sisig etc) as opposed to the Filipinized dishes like Spaghetti (which is rooted in Italian cuisine) . also thank you Abi for letting them try Dynamite :D, its one of the newer-ish Filipino staples, likely not rooted here but has gotten to be quite the fixture in streetfood along with all the different forms of lumpia.
Andy will be back for the Palabok :)
Awesome Guys. So sad that the timing was not good with Erwan not there. Maybe next time though. Haha Jollibee spag taste like tinned spaghetti. But the Chicken is supposed to be good as it is rated in the US as now the best fast food Fried Chicken. Big Thanks to FEATR for opening their kitchen studio to the incredible team of Andy Cooks.
So many more places to go and more collabs to do. Hope that in the time you have in the Philippines you will be able to feel the true hospitality of the Filipinos. Stay safe guys.
Thank you so much! We went to Cebu as well but hopefully, we can get back soon and travel to a few more places.
@@andycooksbackofhouse Very grateful for the reply. Your contents have not been good for a 5’3” guy whose BMI is off the roof hahaha watching your content has made me try what you have made in my little kitchen. Guess have to choose the ones that will make me roll down the pounds. Anyways keep it up and we the subscribers will always be here to support the team
@@andycooksbackofhouse please be back soon ♥️
I love how food brings random people together to share not only a meal but also experiences. Awesome video guys!
So nice to see Chef Andy, Babe and Abi on the same video. Looking for more collab and more filipino food to be cook by Chef Andy ❤
I love how honest you guys reviewed the food. Cause I see lots of foreigners exaggerate how good Filipino food is just to get views. I mean for me its good cause I'm Filipino but I know its not for everyone.
Even here in Singapore, Jollibee beats out KFC in a blind taste test. In fact, a blind taste test involving Texas Chicken, Popeye's, 4 Fingers, Jollibee and KFC, Jollibee came in 1st and KFC came in last
What type of vinegar do they use on the Jollibee? The packet she had looked brown. (I love malt vinegar :)
@@m.theresa1385 That's not vinegar. That's brown sauce like those you pour over your chicken chops
It was like, dream come true for Abi :) .. thank you Chef Andy for visiting Philippines :)
New sub just because you went from adobo to actually visiting the Philippines!! Love it. Thank you and much love and success for your future endeavors, from this Filipina from Detroit Michigan ❤️

Welcome to our very humid country the Philippines! Seeing you guys touring around and making us hungry with your Filipino food content makes us all the more want to support your videos. Well I hope this is not the last time you will visit the our country because our country has still so much to offer to you guys. We may not be a rich country nor a very organised nation you are used to live but I know that somewhere between the skies and our islands are all incredible food that you guys will never taste anywhere else in the world. Thank you for coming here.

I am looking forward to your Cebu experience. Cheers!
Hi I'm you're new subscriber from the Philippines, thank you guys you love our dishes..welcome ..🇵🇭
Wow...thanks for visiting our Country....🥰
I'm glad to see you guys get to visit the Philippines. I hope you go to other places not just in Manila cause different islands have different variations of Filipino cuisine ❤
The Trick is Take a Bite of the Chicken and while it's in your mouth shove a Spaghetti, like a chaser, it's a Pendulum of Taste. A true Filipino 🇵🇭 would know that. It addresses the Sweetness of the Spaghetti
Wow... It's nice u visit Philippines.... I do really love ur channel.
It’s cool that you’ve finally visited Philippines. I always watch your videos over and over again specially when it’s a Filipino dish. 😊❤

Yayy you have another channel..here before it gets to 50K. Hi couple babes and team, I’m one of your Filipino subscribers in Andycooks.❤ Mabuhay..welcome to P.I.!
Oh and you guys were in Cebu, my hometown, I couldn’t be more jealous of those people who were able to see you..😊
Yummy food! Love Philippines been there 19 times from Seattle USA and will move there to Cagayan De Oro City next year to open our Beach Resort. Can't wait! LET'S GO! LOVECDO!
It's totally understandable that the Jolly Spaghetti earns that review as it is geared towards the Filipino, particularly kids, palate. I expected Andy and babe to like palabok as well! But I knew the star would be Peach mango pie! As much as we love Chickenjoy, nothing would beat Peach Mango Pie! See you in Cebu!
The spaghetti is the same with pasta in the US.
@@eduardochavacanono it's not
