  • Why I hated living in the Philippines as Filipino is a question that is not right. How can we hate our country where we born from? But that feeling of uneasiness grows even more especially I learned how other culture works for me. Japanese culture is not perfect. But the culture works for me so much. One most factor why I hate living in the Philippines is the bureacracy and unjust practices of almost government offices in the country. I hate to say this but almost offices is a pain in the ass of most Filipinos needing their services. Let me know if you haven't experienced long lines getting your official documents at any government offices, then you will see employees eating snacks and speaking so loud to you as if you have problems on hearing.

Sad but true, the people hating on what you said are the people who doesnt realize how low class the government services are here in the PH unlike the other SEA countries.
Hope you find a better country.

Thank you for the affirmations. Negative comments of some haters were deleted and banned for my peace of mind. There were tons already! But I am surprised because I am not affected with these negative reactions. I am letting them react. Yes! Vietnam and Malaysia are one of the best of SEA countries.

It depends on several factors, really. Different situations, different reactions. I know many Filipinos who've been impatient to retire and get back to the Philippines because they know their lifelong retirement savings will go a longer way back here. And they will have a better quality of retirement life. Also, I do agree with you that most government offices and employees (heck even some private ones) are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I myself have gotten angry a few times. They do have to cleanup their act. But hey, Filipinos are RESILIENT. We learn to adjust and go with the flow. And another thing I told my daughter, I'm happy I'm Filipina because we are one of the countries wherein women are treated more equally. Like I always say, if you are angry at someone or something, you will always see or view them negatively. And I guess, that's how it is with you and the Philippines. It'll never be enough. I hope you find peace and positivity wherever you reside.

@@livingwithgraceinjapanmy brother in law lived as an expat in Japan a few decades ago. I had the opportunity to stay there for 6 months with him and my older sister after college graduation to study Japanese art. That's why Japan has a SPECIAL place in my heart. I was able to immerse myself in the culture and interact with locals. I love Japan. That's why I understand you perfectly and why you love the country. 💖

I want to go to Japan to learn their work ethics., Japanese people are well disciplined unlike us Filipinos.,we need to be aware of our traits especially palagi po tayung late.,Japanese palagi pong on time..Japanese are honest returning lost items...Filipinos, mayroon namang honest pero kunti lang......

Thank you for connecting nofearshasha... I have also said here that Japan is not perfect. But the things happened to us in the Philippines I am quite sure will not happen in Japan. Glad you have chosen to watch this topic. I banned a handful of bashers already.

Philippines is very inconvenient because of the low wage and the increasing of prices. It's also too hot.

Japan struggles with low wages also and it hasn't increased for 3 decades - but the huge difference is that when we lined up to get soft of official documents to city hall or any public offices, these government employees show courtesy and politeness towards every one coming to the counter. This is the huge difference with the Filipino government employees. Their unprofessionalism makes the temperature hotter and sorry to these civilians.

I also hate it here in PH. My neighbors are drug pushers and users despite being a private subdivision. I wanna move to Japan.
