Yeah this one lost me. Not all of us wear extensions (my hair has been natural for 10+ years) and the girls who do wear them have their hair braided underneath most of the time so their real hair is usually pretty long, they just like the convenience of wigs/weave/whatever. This ish was highly offensive to black women. The generalization said to the world that black women are bald and masculine. As if our hair doesn’t grow or we’re not proud of how God made us. As if we value other people hair over our own. This skit took us back 100 years. Not all Black women wear wigs or hate their own hair… just the self hating ones. The ones who have been made to feel bad about their God given features. America has made them feel that way. These two should know there’s some things that are off limits. “They’re not like us.”

Most of us are not bald under the wigs and not desperate to wear wigs and weaves it’s just convenient.so why do this skit for your white audience?
You think the white audience can relate? Lol, it's funny. Also, is it "convenient"? Wigs and / or weave takes time and money to get it looking good... it's the exact opposite of convenient.

For those white people who are not exposed or do not understand Black people this sketch is harmful. As a mother who has a full-time job and goes to school it is convenient for ME to put on a wig every now and again to save some time.

She was just connecting some every day life things people do/purchase with the risk of it costing a helluva lot more with Trump’s tariffs. It’s a good conversation because most times people have no idea what they are truly voting for.
