“Remember we are creating art!” Great quote. Often times photographers get stuck on rules or trapped into possible critiques of over blown under exposed. Thanks for what you do, amazing.
I watched this video on Monday and filed it away in my mind for future reference. Today one of Thailand's greatest actors, Sorapong Chatree, died. It is tradition here to post photos of people who have died in black-and-white, so I used this technique to convert a photo I took with him during the only film we worked on together. The result was far better than how I would have done it before, by simply desaturating and adjusting the curves. I just wanted to thank you for this very timely tutorial.
You've done it again...this process is more involved than the one I currently use, but the results are dramatic. Back into my catalog and rework some photos. Thanks for all your hard work in putting these tutorials together.
PiXimperfect is high end! Why? 1st: His tutorials deliver high worthy content by every second. No frills, no blabla ... 2nd: Although he speaks faster and faster over the years his enunciation remained excellent and easy to understand. 3rd: Every tutorial is designed at a top didactical level. 4th: He combines all the before mentioned qualities to an outstanding overall performance thus underlining the main content statements in an acting way.
The fact that he speaks so fast has always kept me away from his excellent content.. great shame because as you say he delivers high worthy content. Guess he has enough subsribers to not care any more..
Thank you for that and I am going to have to replay and replay that to learn it properly. Just the trouble with being old! So good to know you can do this without having to buy expensive plugins.
1) You're fantastic. 2) This is incredible. I've been a photographer for a long time, and have used Photoshop since v1, but never would have known about this. 3) Thank you.
your presentation is so good , that any adjective is less to describe but the presentation if done more slowly then a novice can also e nrich himself more, awaiting mor e wonderful videos more as they have enriched us as ever before.
Excelente!!! Muchas Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento. Me interesa el Blanco y Negro más dramático. Y con este video aprendí Mucho. Muchas Gracias! Saludos desde la Ciudad de Rosario, en Argentina! Giorgio.
The way you are explaining is more than diamonds you are awesome,, kindly may you create tutorials about creating poster and flyers because all other tuts on RUclips with a music background without voiceover, thanks in advance
Awesome! You've sharpened my focus in several areas with this video. Smart Sharpening a human being. For example, I've been guilty of being heavy-handed with the clarity slider...in both directions. Thank you Unmesh.

Love it! Speaking of Gradients..How about a short on what "Smoothness" actually means in the world of photoshop. When applying gradients, the smoothness option has the effect of changing the transition of Color 1 to color 2 in a way that seems 'non-linear'.. Can you explain what this is actually doing to the values of pixels?? Thank you!!
Thank you Pixim. This is really an open PS book of knowledge. You make it real. I have a question, how to make a color photo dramatic? Do you have a tutorial pointing in that direction? Thanks.
Ooooooh! I love this, Unmesh! I knew gradient maps had even more untapped power, but this is awesome!! :D I haven't done much photo editing/manipulation for a while, but I wanna try! Even with noisy images. ;)
Unmesh, it would be helpful if you told us what version of PS you're using. Mine doesn't have this, it's rather simple, a bit old perhaps. Do you know from what version this Gradient function is available? Thanks in advance...! Did I say that your tutorials are out of this world?
Hola saludos desde México, tengo la versión mas actual de Photoshop pero no me sale la opción de método o como le hago para que se visualice espero y me puedas ayudar excelente tu canal soy tu fan
Hi... First of all I want to thank you for such many wonderfull tips to improve our PS skills. You're a really crack!!! I would like to ask you something... I've tried to apply this tips but it is not possible for me to choose the "Method" in the gradient properties... Is it perhaps because I am using the 2021 version of PS instead of 2022 version??? Many thanks in advance and please keep on teaching us ;-)

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. We get so caught up in the technical aspects of it.

Without any doubt you‘re one of the most skilled and constructive Photoshop gurus. 🙌
But you crushed the eye detail in the first pic, into black eye sockets……..and then you fixed it! Why you are so good 🙌🏻👍🏼
