He was a natural. In acting as well as a storyteller and singer. He brought my wife and myself great memories with being behind the voice(s) of the Wombles. The films he had been in. Most of all his fun songs from the 1960's. He will sadly missed by us both and to all grew up with him on television. Song and vision. He passed away the day before our 40th wedding anniversary. R.I.P. Our legendary Bernard Cribbins.

As per usual with the death of some of my Heroes when I heard of Bernard's death it was the day after his death. So on the Sunday I embarked on a week of mourning. I went into my bedroom and not coming up for a whole week

I watched CALL THE MIDWIFE before I discovered THE Railway Children despite the fact we had had the video for years. I still have the video. I love seeing him in the film. I bluddy hate his small minded character though.
