Joe Bataan is a national treasure. I cannot even begin to express how much of an influence this man was in my musical life. Or, how much he is connected to my childhood growing up in NYC.

I still do free at beautiful parties, but it's only ocassional now sadly - got to ration that shit now I'm in my mid-fifties! Thanks for the tunes Mr Bataan!

Growing up in the streets of New York in the 50s and 60s, was in a gang, got involved into crime, got arrested etc. After he was released from prison, he changed his life around.
