Of course stainless steel reacts with water it also react with oxigen but at such a slow rate that it’s basically nothing and it’s also primarily with stagnant water whereas plastic (which this is, it’s cheap plastic) will leech cancerous toxins into your hot drink every single time you make coffee. It’s cheap and harmful and at $6000 La Marzocco really could have done better…
The simple question is do you need the higher volume output and the shot timer? If you use mugs this is also better. If you want a smaller machine and make lattes the micra is great. Check out our comparison video. Cheers luke

The only meaningful upgrade is the direct access to pump pressure changes - that would be great. I'm glad to not have the ugly red digital shot timer...
@@mryoyo7741 the Bicocca looks to be a great machine, but isn't even out yet. Also, if you like the LM mini styling, the Rocket won't hit the same way. I'm comparing THIS mini R to the mini it is replacing, a more apple to apple comparison
@@slimigan I like LM LM, but the price v features and accessories and adds ons very expensive for no reason. It all make the deal break for me. Also the techs in it doesn’t just match in my opinion. But for me not working well. 😅. I tried many time to convince my self to buy it, but i couldn’t not the money is issue, but the way it is 🤪. If u think about it you will need to spend more money on it and at the end you spent more than technically very high end machines. But yes sure it has good vibs. 🤣😂
The new plastic/brass portafilter is a big downgrade in my opinion, especially at this price point.
The plastic portafilter is just the tip of the pile of all the cheap plastic they stuck into the machine sadly
But the pre infusion is a game changer?!

Not sure sorry, there used to be a different tray but the fit for the scale was too tight

Not following why the plastic portafilter is a more ‘food safe’ option than stainless?
It’s cheaper to produce so it’s better for Bernardinelli…they will say literally anything to make it appear to be “okay”

Maybe you could’ve pulled the shot and show how it pulls with the curved tamper, seeing as you said that it helps get the beautiful Center extraction
