Stephen Colbert’s tie at the end!✨ Anyway, I won’t come to a verdict on the basis of one song, but I hope he engages more with the audience off-camera. He’s got a great vibe of David Byrne/Talking Heads, Dire Straits (Money for Nothing), Flaming Lips, Tiny Tim, even “Fish Heads” by Barnes & Barnes.
This shit is mad original. Anyone hating on this creativeness, probably is living in their parents basement and doesn't understand art. Definitely a fan of this performance!
3:50 I just noticed Stephen came out wearing a green tie at the end of the performance so his tie would also have the same green-screen effect as Alex's suit. Brilliant! Alex noticed too and asked him with a smile "Are you wearing a green tie?"
Probably not the best choice for Stephen’s audience. That being said, I thought it was pretty cool. I applaud musicians that add visual art into their performances. I enjoyed it!
Alex is a wonderful human being. I marched alongside him in 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah in support of Timothy DeChristopher and the #Bidder70 protests. A real human bean.

Art is subjective and music is art so for me as the French say (Comme Ci Comme Ca) it was just (So So) not great but not terrible. The imagery clothing was again; so so. Just vanilla flavoring over a vanilla song. Next?
Instead of being critical let’s be analytical. This is non-conformist performance art. I seem to remember Thom Yorke singing in falsetto not to long ago on this show and David Byrne being hailed as a genius after the fact, with his arm chopping dance moves for the Talking Heads.
