Hello, your video is very hehpful, but the oxygen sensor i need to replace is the one that measures the catalytic converter and i have check and there's no sensor in the cat, there's one in the flex pipe and i dont know if that one is for the catalytic, if you could respond me i will apreciate it, thank you.
My vehicle stalls after I’ve driven for a while and try to slow down . checked my crankshaft sensor and it shows good . It’s a 2011 Hyundai 1.8L Elantra . The car runs good after it’s parked for a while even at low speeds , only does this after I drive for prolonged periods . Scanning tools couldn’t get any codes . Could you help me ?
Man, I’ve been watching you guys for years and have learned so much about my Elantra, I’m far from a mechanic but you guys never fail me when it comes to working on my Elantra, much appreciated guy’s, you have saved me $thousands on labor
Used this video to replace my o2 sensor. Thanks so much. It helped me with seeing that the job was not as daunting as I would've originally thought. Thanks again!
Thanks for all the amazing videos! They wanted to charge me $500+ to replace mine, I’ve been quoted at two shops. This is the best video I’ve found on doing it yourself!
You guys are the best I love your videos I love how you break it down to make it simple for the novice mechanic. I have a 2007 Hyundai Entourage I'm getting gas fumes out of my tailpipe and knocking and low power when I try to go uphill or to accelerate I'm thinking the oxygen sensor upstream needs to be replaced I'm being told there are two oxygen sensors do you know if there is two or is three total two in front of the catalytic and one after the catalytic please let me know thank you
The o2 sensor for the 2013 Hyundai elantra coupe gs isnt in the same place Where will that be located at? Also can you do a video on how to change the transmission fluid?
Does the 2017 Hyundai Elantra 2.0L have two upstream O2 sensors? I see the one in the heat shield and then what looks like another just below it in the exhaust pipe yet before the catalytic converter. Thanks!
I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and I'm looking to replace the Upstream O2 sensor. The problem is it seems that my Upstream is actually located a little bit further down the exhaust pipe and not directly behind the engine as I'm seeing. I would love to share a picture but unfortunately there's no way for me to show you. Would you happen to have any insight on this?
Experiencing the same issue with a 2013 Elantra. Gotta get a cheater pipe over your ratchet or come at it from under the car. Get a little push into the hoses to get a little more leverage. It seems hyundai doesn't know what torque to put things at u.u
Is an accent the same? I'm trying to learn all the parts under my hood. I just had the ecm replaced. I changed the purge valve myself. It is now stalling while idling. I think I need to change the crankshaft sensor. But I'd like to know where all the sensors are.
What is the socket size? Is it the same for both sensor? In my i40 fuel consumption drastically increased recently and engine has less power from time to time, what sensor do i replace with that symptoms? Is it the bank 1 sensor 1 or 2?
I have a 2013 Elantra limited and I can only find the downstream sensor. I’m checking the location on top of the manifold and it’s not there??? Does it only have one sensor ??
Hi friend. I have elantra 2013. The car runs perfectly at the biggening of each trip but after maybe one hour of driving the engine starts to do some unusual noise like clicking sound (tic, tic, tic....) and seems like it it's losing power. And when i slow down or climbing a slope it finished by vibrating and stalls. Hearing this sound, i try to give it much fuel to speed up the sound diseapper but reapper a few moments later and finishes by stalling at the first stop signal or slowing down. Sometimes it stalls at the traffic at low speed. I need each time to restart the car it's really embarrassing and could be dangerous sometimes. The computer diagnosis made three times one of which in hyundai but tells me that everything is perfect and absolutely no anomaly detected. I changed the battery, the throttle body and the crankshaft sensor. But the problem is always the same as i never did anything. I Need your help i really get tired.
Brother any help please im confused i have a 4 clynder 2013 Hyundai sonata gls i have a check engine code bank 1 sensor 2 im confused witch 1 is it any help please
does the defective upstream sensor cause the vehical to buck like an earthquake and jerk realy hard if you put the pedal to the floor on hard take off or try to pass at freeway speeds ? it runs good if you drive with a feather foot but try to take off quick or pass on freeway and it jerks multiple times realy hard then goes into limp mode....no codes and amonia smell from exhaust !!!!!!!!
My car Hyundai Elantra 2013 is giving a very bad fuel average, approx 8.5 km/L, i changed all spark plugs, coils, injectors cleaned, cataylic converter cleaned but still the fuel average is very bad, any further idea please?
The hardest thing to undone is the connector. Every single connector in the car has a different locking mechanism. Why they cannot just use one type its the same manufacturer?

Do you have one for the lower O2 sensor? Do you know where is the socket located?

Please make video about the other oxygen sensor near the catiylic converter
great advice and excellent accent
I’m not a mechanic but watching this video it could say me well over $200 in charges to do this myself instead of going to a shop!

By any chance, do you guys have a video regarding the tools needed, and the steps to change out the upstream o2 sensor on a Sonata (2013)?
Can you make a video that shows how to change all 4 O2 sensors on 2008 Hyundai Azera limited
Great video!!! Will the check engine light go out automatically after changing the sensor or does it have to be manually reset?
you must always reset, but it may reset itself after enough drive cycles

Ooof I have the same problem. Not the same location on my 2013 Elantra.
Very helpful. Thanks.

Thanks, this is helpful. One question though, at 5:30: very important to not cross what?
very important to not cross thread and strip it. Then you'd have to tap it, or the socket would just pop out
Can you show how to do some car repairs on 2016 hyundai santa fe sport, thank you.
GREAT videos!!! Thanks guys! Liked N subscribed!

Late response but I would say to change it out it also could be a crack in the exhaust pipe or manifold
Is that bank 1 sensor2?
i have a 2013 hyundai elantra GLS. The upstream sensor does not appear to be there. What am I missing?
My car Hyundai Elantra 2013 is giving a very bad fuel average, approx 8.5 km/L, i changed all spark plugs, coils, injectors cleaned, cataylic converter cleaned but still the fuel average is very bad, any further idea please?

how you know if your transmission done?? my car goes in reverse fine and doesn't go forward.
Dealer is charging me 1.5 hours to fix this so how long does it really take to replace ?
The hardest thing to undone is the connector. Every single connector in the car has a different locking mechanism. Why they cannot just use one type its the same manufacturer?

What was your symptoms
I have a 2012 Elantra and the sensor isn't in the location shown in the video and I can't find it....can anyone please help?
It should be. I have a 2011 and it’s there.
it is impossible to unscrew it. The edges are already starting to break down😭
Prefer the original intro music.?
Did you know that if you soak your oxygen sensor in toilet bowl cleaner for 15 minutes you will have a new oxygen sensor?
What are the consequences of a bad OXYGEN SENSOR ?
Why can't you just cut the oxygen sensor wire off and put a 3/8 ratchet instead of buying a new device?
Because when you put the new one on you cant cut the wire on it. So either way you'll need the socket.
What a dumb question lol
We’re are you bary
Real mechs know how to disconnect connectors and they don't wear pimp watches.
Why would you work on a vehicle wearing such a fancy watch and ring?
Number parte plis My friend
Thank u sir
