sticking a magnet on the screwdriver should be taught as early as elementary school - it'd indirectly improve the life of everyone on the planet due to the sheer amount of cortisol buildup avoided.
The coax cable connectors don't give me much trouble getting them off, it's getting them ON that is sometimes a pain in the butt. The larger versions that were used a few years back weren't hard, but the new smaller ones don't seem to like to line up and snap on correctly for me.
I like Paul he is not too fast on the explain and i think he use 1/10 of flux than Louis, using too much of the NC559 is a pain in the azz to clean !! Good work
Would recommend precision tip swabs over q-tips -- they're more expensive but more precise to use, and don't risk leaving bits of snagged cotton everywhere.
People didn't repair things so always think trouble shooting is fun, a business need to fix things in shortest time, since lot of things queuing up when you getting a rather good reputation.
Is that just to get data from? That cant be for use can it? If the customers going to use that thing it will be coming back in 2 days. I was shell shocked the backlight went on and it even worked. That was such an abortion to begin with, I wouldnt have taken that job on, excellent work!
I'm all for repair, but i'd never sauder extra wires to a MAC, it's not about if it will do or not, its just a matter of principle that a "repair" in my mind leaves everything the same. no wonder MAC has ptsd if these are the repairs that were happening. but then the whole issue is stupid and ironic considering MACs are designed to degrade and fail.
Several of these machines I have soldered wires similar to this onto over 7 years ago, and they are still going strong. If you take a look at the SSL j9000 console released a 1997, SSL has bodge wires going from one end of the channel strip to the other, and that console sold for $500,000. Embrace the wires, they are part of electronics and part of life!
Omg people murder those antenna connection terminals... its putting them back on that they get destroyed.. i made a video showing exactly how to remove and reinstall... no body watched it.. imagine that.. shops are ripping off blind with garbage tools. Equipped with zero knowledge...
These repair videos always bring me back to me when I first got into watching Ross all thos years ago
There's nothing better in the morning than a cup of coffee and exactly the right amount of flux.
Now that's what I call fast, clean and nice work. Congrats!
Quality job. Nice to see you really caring about the customer's item 👍
Another board repair? Christmas isn't until December!

"One moment please" with fake British accent - that is what I came for!
Loved the video, great job Paul : )

These are my happy place
10:30 almost gave me a heart attack... oh well, another JTAG saved... we'll get them next time, unless we get a tool to actually connect to it.
Thank you.
Great work. 🙂👍
Sorin probably solder that wire on the fuse. The best dodgy repair guy. lol
Is not Louis but works for me! 👍🏼
hi i found the fuse working what else do you think my laptop new never been fix
I managed to blow off the two components to the bottom left of the chip - can you please tell me which they are so I can source replacements?
what kind of fuse is it? how many V?
Sounds like someone watches AVE.
Big Clive
It's sunday!!!
Is that... is that the normal amount of flux???
It is the "proper" amount of flux!
Oo I'm early to a repair video. Just in time for dinner
Putting wire in place of a blown fuse is stupid, a short piece of paper-clip
is best. Solid job ! ........... :)
3 in 3 days holy pooh what's going on ...... starting to feel a false sense of security

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirose_U.FL in case anyone is interested in the RF connectors.
Does Mr Clinton have a blue dress?
Fuses don't blow in macbooks....
So if one has blown you know something went horribly wrong!

@@A2000MHz nice work. I always wanted a crimping tool to make my own termination untill i looked at the cost... 😂😂
I think Louis might need a new camera this ones white balance is off a bit.
