    Seeing any type of decent software piece from Honeywell is refreshing. From a professional and consumer standpoint.

      Yeah I think for a long time established companies thought that they could do things like they had for the past 50 years. This is a good change for all of us.

    I really like the smart home features that can be integrated and the IFTTT functionality. However, I also need a system that will record video 24/7 and I'm concerned about video backup in the event of system compromise as well. Does the system provide 24/7 video recording, or is it only the 30 second clips that you mention? Is there a way to integrate on-site video storage in case of loss of internet? Does video from other sources still record if the main brain box is disconnected/destroyed?

    • @Kitearmy
      @Kitearmy  5 лет назад

      I believe that it is only 30sec clips. But it will continue to make them until their is no more motion

    Great video. You make it sound easy, so it looks like something I could install.

    • @Kitearmy
      @Kitearmy  6 лет назад

      Yeah...they made a pretty slick interface, so the installation is not to bad

      Lovely Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you tried - Mahorrla Defence Wisdom Method (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for securing your home from danger without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got excellent results with it.

    Hi, Great review! I'm considering this for my Mom's house, but definitely want an exterior siren. Do they have one for this?

    • @Kitearmy
      @Kitearmy  4 года назад

      Thanks - I don' think they have an external siren

    • @ryanwoods4691
      @ryanwoods4691 3 года назад

      You could do a Honeywell LCP-500 Lyric Controller, which uses the "SIX" series sensors, there is an outdoor and indoor external siren, hope this help!

    Great video. I think I saw my neighbor pass by on one of those shots. I may invest in one of these systems once my Frontpoint Security contract is up.

  • @georgew8565
    @georgew8565 5 лет назад

    You did not mention anything about if it has a monthly fee or not. The Vimtag camera i have now, goes off about every hour sending my phone notifications, even set to the lowest motion settings. So i'm looking for something else.

    • @Kitearmy
      @Kitearmy  5 лет назад

      No monthly fee. But i think they do have a cloud service that of course has a cost. Have you looked at the Nest cameras? I had the best results with them

    one of the few products i don’t agree as DIY. if you truly care about your family. you need professional with every opening covered. which meant all the windows and doors which translate bad amount of zones plus primary and secondary circuit to notifying the authority... these IOT security is easily defeated if i cut off your outside internet cable.... just my 2 cents. but great video ;)

    • @Kitearmy
      @Kitearmy  6 лет назад

      That's a fair comment - I think it depends on the level of threat you are dealing with. You are right if the cable goes down, no alerts!

    • @ometofu
      @ometofu 6 лет назад

      Kite Army you can’t predict threat. i just do the maximum plus safe room with reinforced concrete plus arms. because u never know. people think i am borderline paranoid or a prepper. lol

      Louis Y I highly doubt anybody is going to get a ladder to cut a able. To say someone doesn’t “really” care about their family because they get a system like this is extremely shitty of you and makes me think of you as a piece of shit.

    Hi, excuse me, does anyone know if I can hire monitoring?
    What kind of communication protocols does it use, Contact ID, SIA?
    Can I add an outdoor siren?
    Hola disculpen, alguien sabe si se puede contratar monitoreo para este tipo de alarma?
    que tipo de protocolos de comunicación utiliza eso, Contact ID, SIA?
    Se puede agregar sirena exterior?

    Sorry man. I have to give you thumbs down. It wasn't boring and I learned a lot. What does a REAL security system need? 1) Battery backup, what happens if there are no lights? 2) Is it a good system if there is no internet? 3) What happens if that cute smart speaker is destroyed? What happens to the rest of your security? Does it stop? Is the alarm still going? Is there a siren? If not you'd be a fool to use this as a real solution. Otherwise these would be just smart home toys.
